My best friend took me to Fred’s shop while I was visiting LA in February. I bought some unique, handmade (and very affordable) jewelry — great souvenir/​gift items! Fred was friendly and helpful — but not pushy — while I took waaaay too long to make up my mind. My jewelry is holding up well, and I love thinking back on my trip and Fred’s cute little shop every time I wear it.

Gonzo Africa sells traditional, fun accessories all handmade in Kenya or by Fred, the owner, who is originally from Kenya. I always find something interesting there, from little beaded sculptures to bracelets to earrings. Fred is a wonderful man with a kind, wise heart and his jewelry is beautiful! I always take visitors there when we stop by Venice. Don’t miss it! if you walk under the V-​E-​N-​I-​C-​E sign from Pacific, his booth will be on your right.
