Lafayette Limo

Rude rude rude driver! Way overpriced. We were transported in a suburban not a shuttle. Six adult passengers with one driver in a seven passenger vehicle is completely cramped. I was stuck in the middle of the third row of the suburban with no seatbelt (which driver said was not necessary when I asked about it) and seated next to my 6’3 son and 5’7 daughter. I rode 3 and half hours from O’Hare to Purdue sitting on the crack between the seats with two belt buckles digging into my hips. No more than five seats should be sold on the suburban. I will never use this shuttle company again.

Bus showed up 35 minutes late and then the driver had the nerve to complain that people who didn’t print out their tickets in advance «wasted time.»

Terrible service, missed my flight. The driver showed up 45 minutes late. I called 3+ times to file a complaint, and it took them a week to get back to me. They refused to refund my ticket.
Additionally, the driver was very rude. Calling this a «limo» service is a bit of a stretch.

First trip — Indy to Purdue — shuttle right on time at the airport. Did what the website said — printed two copies of the receipt/​ticket so no problems at the airport.
The van/​bus has seen better days — lots of rattles and didn’t do too well on bumps. Like previous riders I’m pretty sure we exceeded the speed limit often. And on a few corners on the interstate we were on the shoulder. (Possible Indy 500 driver from Way back when) But the driver was courteous and we got there in one piece.
$ 50 round vs nearly $ 500 for a week of car rental– which would have sat the whole time — right choice this time. But my teenage daughter said I should try Über next time — will have to see how the return trip goes!

Missed my flight because of this service. Waited over 40 min for a bus at 8:30 and the service would consistently lie to us about how far away the bus was from the hotel. Don’t use this service if at all possible.

This is absolutely the worst service. I go online to book the ride for a same day service.. It tells me I have to call. I called and they took my reservation I was told to just get to Ohara international terminal no 5 gate d. I called 9 times in 40 min to ensure I was in the right place and finally on my 10 th call someone says they do not have my reservation and the driver has left. I will never use this company. I spoke to people ten times and you may wonder what kind of service policy they have if any. Worst service ever. As a caution to others please do not take their word when they say you have a confirmation.

Slow death by Lafayette Limo. The worst experience ever. The buses are old and the drivers stop every chance they get to use the bathroom. I would rather ride a bike than use this company again. AVOID!!!

I just had a great time on a bus that was rented from here. It all worked out perfectly, the bus was in great condition, the driver was nice, and we made it to and from safely. The bus had perimeter seating in the back and table seating at the front which was very nice.

5 stars. Why? Compare the prices of EAC and LafLimo. $ 140 vs $ 110. Have they compromised on quality? I don’t feel so. I have travelled with them at least four times (to O’Hare), and I have had zero issues. All the negativity in this site and other review sites boil down to two issues. 1. Delays. Seriously? Look at their schedules. 3 hours and 20 minutes for Purdue — ORD ??? It roughly takes 2:30 hours and I guess they have a spare hour to face unexpected circumstances (traffic, rain, flat tire???). 2. Cannot change schedule. I once had to postpone my travel by a week, due to unforeseen circumstances. Made an attempt to call them, and surprisingly they agreed to postpone my itinerary to the following week at no extra cost. The website still showed the old itinerary, so they printed the ticket for me and left it with the driver. I don’t believe they would entertain such requests to everyone and at all times, but if you strongly believe your schedule can change, you SHOULD pick EAC. My experience with them has been completely positive, and I will choose to pick them over EAC. For Purdue — Indy, their prices are almost same as SoA, and so is their quality of service.

Used Limo to return from Indy last week to Lafayette and had a great experience. I had booked on line which was easy and quick, and left the airport right on time. The check-​in was simple, and both the booth lady and the driver were very friendly and helpful, specially to some riders that needed some extra attention. I highly recommend this service, and will be using it again in a few weeks.

Choose another shuttle service. Even though I was half an hour early and waited outside at the correct gate, the shuttle still left without me. The worst part was that when I called, the lady on the phone was not only unhelpful but rude. I had communicated with her throughout the evening, making sure that I was at the right gate because I did not want to miss my ride. She was unsympathetic to the fact that I would be staying overnight at O’Hare and did not even apologize for the fact that the driver failed to call me when he could not locate me. This shuttle service is over priced and not worth it. They need to train their staff to handle these situations better, especially because she didn’t even give me an alternative solution until I asked her what I was supposed to do, which was when she told me that the driver was unable to turn around and that I would have to wait until the next morning. She was condescending and rude, making it sound like it was my fault that I had missed my shuttle when she knew for a fact that I had been waiting at the correct location for over half an hour before the scheduled departure. Her tone only changed when I filed a complaint and asked to speak to her manager.

They charge a ridiculous $ 60 for one way from O’hare to Purdue. My driver was TWO hours late and when I called customer service they were not helpful at all. When the driver showed up he did not even have my reservation on file. He said nothing about being late either. I do not recommend this service to anyone. For $ 60 they stuff people like cattle into tiny mini busses and have terrible service.

In mid-​February, my wife booked on-​line a round trip shuttle service for our son from Purdue to O’Hare for March. Although they advertised right up front on their website that one way cost is $ 60 and round trip for $ 110, it does not mention anything about entering a special code when purchasing round trip to get this price ($ 110). If you don’t use the special code (available elsewhere on the website), it charges you as two one way trips ($ 120).
My wife called after making the on-​line reservation requesting a $ 10 credit and was told it would credited to her credit card. However, when the charge showed up on our credit card bill, it was for $ 120 (w/​no associated credit). My wife called again and was told that the only credit they would provide would be for future service. My wife informed the customer service agent that was not what she was told back in February. The agent consulted with the manager; and was informed again that was their policy! Shuttle Service-​Good, Customer Service– Poor
Bottom line: Based on the above decision by the manager, we do not intend to use this company anytime soon!!!

I used the service last week to get from O’hare to West Lafayette. Booking online was simple & easy, but you must print a receipt. It would be cool if they enhanced this to e-​ticket since they check your ID anyways.
When I got to O’hare, someone called me to let me know they were on the way. Got on the shuttle, but was a little concerned that a service sign stayed on & there was a note saying that piece was broken so that’s why the light was on. The driver was really friendly and got us to Purdue.
On the way back, I got dropped off to the office and jumped on shuttle. I felt the driver was driving a bit speedy considering he had a bigger shuttle. But again, got me to O’hare.

Ugh. You just restated what I said happened. Donna did that, too. It isn’t helpful. Repeat business is more valuable than making a bad impression over $ 23. You have a lot of bad reviews here. Not so many good ones. You aren’t addressing that. You are saying to your customers that you don’t really care about getting or keeping our business. That’s too bad. For many of your customers, you will be the first and last impression they have of Lafayette, IN. It would be nice to feel you cared about that.

If you are a Purdue student looking for a bus or shuttle to Chicago O’hare or Indianapolis Airport for winter break, I DO NOT recommend Lafayette Limo.
I had one of the worst experiences choosing Lafayette Limo for my travels. Not only were they late for half an hour and had passengers wait in the freezing Midwestern cold, but also the buses that did eventually come miscounted how many passengers they had and they could not fit everyone on the bus. When they ran out of space, they told passengers who did not have a seat to sit on their luggages in the middle aisle. It was both a dangerous suggestion and illegal. And this is not to mention that their buses were OLD, and the drivers did not help with loading and unloading the baggages. I ended up leaving 1 hr and 15 minutes later then scheduled.
Lafayette Limo needs to get some serious renovation for their buses, reorganization, better execution, further their professionalism, and better punctuality in order to compete with Express Air Coach, Star Coach, Aries Charter, and other bus shuttles.
This was one of THE WORST experiences I’ve had. I will never choose Lafayette Limo again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS AT ALL.

Rude driver.
I was standing at the Indianapolis airport waiting for a shuttle (from another company) to Lafayette. A Lafayette Limo van pulled up. Seemed like a generic name for a limo service, so I asked the driver, «Is this the (name of other company)
limo?». He said «What does it say on the side of the van?», and walked away. Smart aleck

I feel like I need to update the public on just how awful this company is. Unfortunately they are the cheapest around and seem to all but hold a monopoly on the area’s charter services.
Last month we contracted LL to provide a charter for 35 pax from O’Hare to Purdue. My initial dealings with them were definitely an omen of what would come, but I paid it no mind and assumed it was just the unprofessionalism of their booking agent. No way the rest of the company could be this bad… right?! WRONG!
So to make a VERY long story somewhat short the bus picked up our passenger in West Lafayette on time, and she rode with the bus to meet the group at the airport in Chicago. They got there early so they killed time at a local restaurant parking lot. The passenger went inside real quick to grab food and when she came back out the bus wasn’t running, it had died. After almost a half hour of trying to get it running again she decided she needed to get to the airport and meet the group rather than continue to wait there, so she took a taxi. The driver said another bus was on the way and would be there in two hours. After two hours passed she checked in with the first driver to see how soon the new bus would be there. He tells her in another hour and 45 minutes… so nearly 4 hours AFTER the scheduled pickup.
There was also trash on the bus when she was initially picked up in West Lafayette, so she had to clean it up herself. The emergency exit windows were also loose and ready to fall out of their frame.
The previous weekend she had gone on a separate trip with another group who had used LL. While on the road another vehicle flagged the bus down. Upon pulling over and inspecting the bus, it was discovered that the bus was one lug nut away from losing the whole wheel because the others had been sheered off somehow. The driver tried to blame it on a pothole, but the more likely reason would be completely substandard inspections and maintenance of their fleet.
NEVER NEVER EVER AGAIN! I don’t care how much more expensive the next best quote is, I value my time and safety more than my money.

I reserved a shuttle service 4 weeks in advance for my Freshman daughter to come home for Christmas. She was standing at the Foley under very cold weather and the bus was about 2 hours late this morning. The drive is 2.5 hours to Chicago airport and it is Sunday. What is the chance of her catching her flight home for Christmas under this condition?

Definitely not «affordable» or «accommodating» as stated on their website. This is not only ridiculously expensive, but they have a no refund policy that is terrible. When booking an airport shuttle, I accidentally booked the wrong date. When I noticed and called, I asked if I could simply move the date — I was not asking for a refund as I would still be needing their service, just on a different day. I was told this was not allowed as it was not refundable. Nevermind that I wasn’t even asking for a refund! The lady on the phone was not very polite and had a screaming kid in the background the entire call. Just overall terrible service.
Spend the extra money and rent a car rather than take this shuttle.
