History
Established in 1986.
Accent On Music, LLC is recognized as a premier publisher of guitar instruction books, videos, and DVDs by Mark Hanson. In 1993, the company expanded to include the performance and teaching activities of owners Mark Hanson and Greta Pedersen. The company’s first publication, Art of Contemporary Travis Picking, is still a best seller. Over 60 titles are sold internationally. Accent On Music, LLC also hosts an annual Fingerstyle Guitar Seminar in Portland, Ore. Past instructors include Tommy Emmanuel, Laurence Juber and Pete Huttlinger.

Business Owner
Grammy-winning fingerstyle guitarist Mark Hanson regularly presents concerts and master classes. Mark has shared the stage with such luminaries as John Renbourn, Tommy Emmanuel, Laurence Juber, and the late Jerry Garcia.
Mark’s music is heard regularly on syndicated radio and television. In the late ‘80s, Mark was an editor and columnist at Frets Magazine, interviewing guitarists such as James Taylor, David Crosby, and Leo Kottke, and writes for Acoustic Guitar.
Named 2009 National Artist of the Year, Greta is an inspiring and versatile vocal coach, songwriter and music educator. As a performer, she is at ease in a variety of styles and settings: from night clubs to schools, concert halls to amphitheaters and arts festivals, across the United States and in Europe.
Her award-winning music for children, families and teachers is licensed to video soundtracks and publishing projects, including Scholastic’s Circle Time series and SongsForTeaching.com
