She is excellent! My hair was very damaged and uneven but Fariba fixed it wonderfully! She was very communicative throughout the whole process and let me know everything she was going to do before she did it. She is also very sweet. Definitely will be back :)

I specifically came to Fariba because of her great reviews. I love my hair(probably too much) but it needed major help and Fariba had so much knowledge and made me so comfortable with what idea she had in mind for me that I literally let her do whatever she wanted haha anyone who knows me knows that that is not something I would let any hairstylist do but I just really trusted her judgement. My hair is now so healthy and I feel so confident in my shorter hair. I will most deff be back!

Great value. Great hair cut. I am from India and have been in the US since 3 years and she is the only one who understands my hair and cuts it the best.

Fariba(pronunced FAR-i-ba, I believe) was exactly as I expected after reading the other reviews: kind, attentive, easy to work with, and very adept with the shears. Her rates are very reasonable. She makes weekend appointments, which is a must for me, and has been at her current location for several years, so I’ll be able to go back to her on a regular basis. The shop where she rents a chair is clean and attractive, and the receptionist is nice, too.

Great value, great haircut! Fariba really took her time to give me the haircut I wanted. She is very detailed, responsive and friendly. If you value the actual haircut more than the fancy saloon experience, then Fariba is the person to go!

I found Fariba on Unilocal and was so impressed with her ratings that I made an appointment right away. I came in this morning and I’m so glad I did. My hair was a completely disaster when I arrived and Fariba took the time to walk me through step by step and explain what she was going to do to fix it. An hour later and my hair was perfect! It looks so good and it’s so healthy. I’m so happy with it and I will be back for my next trim!

Happy with my haircut. Fariba spent a substantial amount of time analyzing my hair and making changes and corrections to my style. She is very detailed and I appreciate that, because I feel like she takes the time to listen and actually thinks through what she is doing. She also took my appointment right away and I got my hair cut the same day. She is very accommodating! The salon is a children’s hair salon that she rents from and it is a decent salon in a good location. Parking is tough to find on the street; you may have to park at a local business nearby(I think it is Smart & Final). The only thing that I didn’t expect was that she didn’t wash my hair. It was kind of dirty when I walked in(I went to the gym that day) and she cut it after wetting it with water from a spray bottle, which is fine. She ended up spending a lot of time on the cut, which I am happy about, although I didn’t leave with salon fresh hair, or even clean hair. I think that is just the business model though since it is less expensive than other places and perhaps they don’t have a shampoo area, I’m not sure. Just don’t expect a shampoo, blowdry, etc. Overall, I recommend Fariba for a hair cut, sans the salon glamour treatment. She is nice and easy to talk to. Oh, and don’t forget it’s cash only.

Totally worth $ 35 if you’re looking for an affordable, simple haircut. Fariba is a kind and sweet lady who cuts hair pretty well. I went to Fariba with long, damaged, tangled hair and she fixed it just the way I wanted. Right off the bat when I called her she was very helpful. She called me the day of my appointment and even held a parking spot for me when I came in. She’s a wonderful person to talk to and she made sure I was happy with my haircut.

You cannot beat her quality for the price. She cut my a-line bob better at $ 35 than any other stylist has in the $ 80+ range. This is the first time I have come home mot wishing I could change something about the way it was cut. Perfect.

I call the same day of the review, it was 7:15pm, and she said come over. She fix that disaster, or nest that people refer as «my hair». I am a person again! and she is so nice!

I had my hair cut by Fariba for the first time after reading her rave reviews on Unilocal.I was very happy with the way my hair turned out. She had noticed a bit of damage from heat styling, and advised me on the best way to care for my hair and to avoid future damage. She rents space in a salon called Studio One(don’t call Studio One to make your appointment though — call her directly at(310) 309‑1169). It’s nothing fancy, but her prices can’t be beat and she does a good job. Those are my primary criteria when getting a haircut, so I was satisfied. I have had a hard time finding a stylist I like going to in LA. My search is over now that I have found Fariba!

I just moved to Santa Monica and was looking for a new stylist and saw that Fariba had 5-star reviews from 70+ people. She cut my hair just like I wanted it. She is incredibly attentive and will tell you what she is about to do so you can have a say.(How many times has a stylist cut away and you just cringed because that’s not what you wanted?). Her price range is also incredibly competitive — not the crazy Santa Monica/Brentwood prices I was trying to avoid. She told me she also did color so I made an appointment to come back a couple days later. I showed her a picture of the ombré/balayage style I wanted and she did it! Fariba is the sweetest lady who takes a lot of pride in the quality of her work. I am all about customer service, and she is too. For what it is worth, this is my first Unilocal review!

I was iffy to go see Fariba at first cause it was my first time there but she was very friendly, polite and caring. She cut my hair exactly the way I wanted it and took me every step of the way to make sure that it was what I wanted. Absolutely best place to go to cause you’ll get excellent customer service and the haircut you actually want

Fariba is my GIRL! I am very particular about my hair. I have always prided myself on my long hair and am very cautious when selecting new hair stylists. I have had enough bad experiences with scissor happy stylists to know the misfortunes of a bad haircut. Fariba is a gem! I have never been with a hair stylist who pays so much attention to detail and who listens so carefully to her customers preferences and concerns. Before she cut any section of my hair, she would demonstrate with her fingers how much she planned to cut. After she made the cut, she would double check to make sure I thought it was okay. After my first haircut, I knew she had my trust and that we would establish a rapport where she would remember my exact preferences. Prices are unbeatable at $ 35 for a trim(this is just a fraction of what she charged when she was in Beverly Hills). Tip: She has a chair in Studio One which is clean with plenty of metered parking in the back street. It is very difficult to find from the street. Look for the IHOP.
