Sunnyside Motel & Trailer Park

The people here are extremely nice and family oriented. This is the only motel that feels like a hotel or a long term vacation home. The price is unbeatable! I love It. U gotta call way ahead to reserve a room though. I paid $ 280 for 5 nights stay!

Marta and Alex provide great, attentive service. Rooms are very clean and $ 60 nightly rate gets you a room with 2 King mattresses. MIA is 10 minutes away, and excellent for quick overnight stays. SECURE & FAMILY FRIENDLY.
Located next to the AutoZone on 8^th Street; well-​maintained trailer park hidden behind the Motel and away from the street.
Inexpensive fast Cuban food across the street (La Palma). Next door is a strip mall with Cuban & French bakery (Breakfast less than $ 5, excellent coffee), dry cleaners, super market. Latin American dinner on the corner, Sedano supermarket /​Diego’s Andalusia Tapas 5 minutes away, and Versailles Restaurant 10 minutes away.
My family relies on Marta and Alex to hold a room for us at least 1 week in advance. Very popular motel, and great «bang for the buck».
Over the last 10 years, stayed at multiple hotels in Calle Ocho because of proximity to Hispanic community, affordable deals, easy access to MIA /​Le Jeune /​42^nd Street, and quick drive to KEY BISCAYNE.
Over the years, all hotels in Calle Ocho changed from exclusively renting on a daily basis towards a more profitable strategy of renting on an hourly basis. If looking for secure and quiet stay, cannot recommend hotel rooms rented on hourly basis. THE REASON: Hourly rentals attracts undesirable company of street-​walkers and addicts, which bring police activity in the middle of the night and all the noise that entails.
Sunnyside motel has hosted my family of 4 every year since 2005. South American visitors love the idea of spending their lady full day in Miami before departing, and they insist on paying for the room. To their surprise, Sunnyside rates are more affordable than the hotels in South America and the cleanliness is superior, asking to come back on their next trip.
