History
Established in 2015.
Owner Joey Trappey’s great-, great-, great-grandfather B.F. Trappey founded the company that created the signature Trappey’s hot sauces and canned vegetables in New Iberia in 1898.
The Trappeys, rivals to the McIlhenny family of Tabasco fame, sold their company in 1982. Today it’s owned by B&G Foods, which still markets the Trappey’s brand.
«There will be a bottle of Trappey’s on every table,» says Joey Trappey.
Trapp’s will focus on a distinctly Louisiana menu with seafood, po’boys, crawfish, jambalaya and other Cajun delicacies, as well as steaks.
