There is no place like home! I’ve been coming to this salon for about 9 years. I drifted away recently and I couldn’t regret it more. I have been coming to Debbie, the hair stylist here since I started coming to hair guild. No one else has ever touched my hair. I personally rate her 5 stars! The 4 stars is for the overall experience here. I am not a Spanish speaker and this tends to make me feel a little uncomfortable because they just start speaking to you in Spanish when you walk in and I have to resort to my high school Spanish 101 and 102 to try and understand what’s going on. I agree with some of the other Unilocalers that some of the hair stylists here think way to highly of themselves to the point where it comes off as rude and obnoxious. However, Debbie is an exception to this. I have very curly hair. It’s soft so it is easily managed. However, I have gone to one too many salons where they simply do not how to cut it or blow it out. When Debbie does my hair, I literally do not touch it. I don’t go home and fix it, and I get complements from everyone. She has does a great job with coloring my hair. I have gone through an array of colors, browns, reds, blondes, black, you name it, I’ve tried it and yet my hair has never dried out until I went else where. This is not just because of Debbie but because of the quality of products they use here. Also, when she cuts your hair, she asks«is this ok?» «Want me to cut more? Want me to cut less?» Debbie, I adore your expertise in hair and the relationship we have developed over the years. Thank you for the many years of great hair!

The guy at the front desk was terribly rude. He needs to learn a little more about customer service. I will not go back.

DONOTGOHERE! I’ve been to this salon several times and after today I will never return. I’ve gotten my hair done with the owner, Alberto. He’s a know-it-all and is extremely rude but I put up with it because he does good work(aka I walked out of there looking fabulous) — but no more. I went into the salon today for a consultation(wanted to do an ombré to my hair). Alberto went on and on about how HETHINKS an ombré is a waste of money and how I should just dye my hair(excuse me, who’s the paying customer here??). After some back and forth(in which he actually raised his voice at me) I realized that he’s never actually done an ombré and, prior to our conversation, didn’t know what it was which is why he was resistant. Why not just admit that you don’t know what I’m talking about instead of being a pompous a-hole? Complete waste of time. Being as how he is the owner, he is a horrible representation of a business that is customer service based. I wonder how they’ve been in business so long when the owner has no idea of what the latest hair trends are. Seriously, there are better salons in the area — go to one of them.
