In business since 1994, Mark & Julie’s Homemade Ice Cream makes its own ice cream and frozen yogurt on the premises from the finest ingredients available. It also offers ice cream cakes, milkshakes, malts, and iced hot chocolate as well as sugar-​free, fat-​free and low-​fat treats. Mark & Julie’s is available to cater birthdays and other special occasions.

Established in 1994.

Owners Mark & Julie decided to venture into their own business. After exploring various business opportunities, they decided to open a homemade ice cream parlor and found the perfect location in West Orange, New Jersey. Celebrating 18 years of serving top quality homemade ice cream and treats to the community!

Husband & wife team, Mark & Julie, owners of Mark & Julie’s Homemade Ice Cream were born and raised in New Jersey and chose West Orange, NJ to call home for their one-​of-​a-​kind homemade ice cream store. They are very active in the Chamber of Commerce, local schools, and organizations.

I’ve been coming here since they opened many years ago and have to say, it’s definitely the best ice cream around. The prices are reasonably and the staff is friendly. You can really taste the quality in their home-​made flavors. The only negative is that it’s cash only.

Cute family owned ice cream shop. A lot of selections and everything we got was delicious. Definitely recommend it. Make sure you have cash though because they don’t accept cards and also don’t have an ATM.

Great local ice cream place. All flavors are homemade and high-​quality. The workers are very friendly and will let you taste several of their flavors. I had the cappuccino crunch and the caramel crunch. Both were delicious. Another person I was with ordered a coffee shake which had great coffee flavor and was quite thick, as desired. They also offer lowfat yogurt and soft serve ice cream and yogurt. We saw the owner and told him how much we love the place. They’ve been around 20 years, and there’s definitely a good reason for that. Definitely a must-​try ice cream shop!

Super friendly workers who make sure the music is family friendly :). Delicious coffee chip and the chocolate peanut butter is even better than Stewart’s in upstate NY… Which is quite the praise! Very clean and good number of tables. Careful, some of the flavors are Not theirs (sherbet and a few others). Soft serve too!

Stopped in with my nieces. Ice cream was good but what really lead me to giving them 5 stars was the service. They might have been high school or college kids working the counter but they went above and beyond in making my 2 year old niece happy.

Worth going to if you are looking for a local ice cream spot. They have over 50 flavors of ice cream and frozen yogurt. I was impressed by the number of frozen yogurt flavors — more than your usual parlor. They also make ice cream cakes and have a few soft serve flavors. Also, endless toppings.

Wide selection of flavors! What’s great about Mark & Julie is that there’s not just one seasonal flavor, there’s about five! I came here looking for something Pumpkin flavored on Sunday with no knowledge of their menu or what they had to offer. Lo and behold, PUMPKIN PIE ICE CREAM. I got myself a scoop of that and their VANILLA PEANUT BUTTER.
A small cup/​cone is only $ 2.78; you can’t beat that especially if you getting a seasonal flavor.

Parking can be a little tight.
