We are one of South Florida’s busiest musician’s consignment shops. Our used inventory includes vintage and modern, electric and acoustic, tube and solid-​state gear. We also frequently have PA and studio equipment such as mixing consoles, power amps, recorders, mics, compressors etc. for sale.

The shop also offers on-​site repairs of tube amps, PA gear, pedals and instruments. For the «Do it Yourself» crowd we have a good selection of parts and pickups for your guitar or amp.

Business Owner

I ventured into the corporate world after graduating from Florida Atlantic University. The corporate job was a great learning experience with many opportunities but after 12 years it was no longer a good fit — I was stressed and unhappy so decided it was time to move on. The following year in 1994, The Amp Shop was opened as a repair shop who specialized in vintage tube amp repairs. I spent 2 years repairing amps in the back of another music store before moving to our current location and adding the «Music Parlor» aspect of the business which involved instrument repairs, retail and a musician’s consignment shop. All of us in the shop are very service oriented and have a reputation for being «anti sales people» — we refuse to try to sell something just for the sake of making a sale. Most of our customers appreciate this laid back approach and tend to be very loyal — we like it like that.
