We have over 3,000 lamp shades in stock, along with light bulbs, and lamp parts. We can go further than just matching the perfect lamp shade to fit your lamp and household décor. We also refurbish, rewire, and re-​create lamps, as well as create a custom design lamp shade if desired. We also will make home visits, if you have a chandelier that needs a good deep clean, we will make sure it sparkles again with brilliance and confidence.

Our large inventory of lamp shades allows us to meet every need, whether we have it in stock, or if there is a shade you’re looking for, we are more than happy to special order it for you.

It is very important to inform you that you will need to bring your lamp with you when you visit our store as it is needed to help identify the size and height of the lamp shade. There is a slight method behind finding the perfect lamp shade that we discuss as we are finding the lamp shade for you.

History

Established in 2002.

We originally started our business in the late 70s in Michigan. After my father retired from the Detroit Lighting company. We moved from Detroit to Ithaca, a small farming community. We turned a barn into an antique and lighting store. We grew into custom making lamp shade frames and lamp shades for our customers, as well as interior design. After 30 years in Ithaca, we closed our doors and moved South to West Palm Beach, FL. We opened A Shade Above LLC on September 1, 2002. We love being a small family run business as this allows us to really interact with our customers and be apart of the local community.
