Kravis Center

I came here a few years ago with some High Schools students for extra credit for English class.
The venue is high class; you need to wear dress shirt, dress pants and shoes, nothing casual wear. I like to be dressy so it didn’t really bother me.
The play that we watched (it was Opera) was decent, the chairs/​seats you sit in during the play are some what comfortable, the ushers/​staff are friendly and helpful. But on the other hand the break/​s that you have during the play are pricey if you need something to munch on. I wasn’t hungry hungry, so I just wanted a little snack to munch on because the play had like another hour. So I bought candy and it was like 2 dollars for a Snickers bar… What?
Other than that, I never went to an Opera before nor the Kravis Center in general. The experience was amazing. But something needs to change about the snacks (or at least let people bring in food, and only eat it outside of the theater room).

This place is great for a date night. My other half and I enjoy this place and the live performances are entertaining. Chairs are comfy and we can always see the stage from our seats. The restaurant before the theater is also tasty!

This note is about the food offered by Kravis, not its entertainment offerings.
The stand-​in line for 20 minutes buffet is an embarrassment and signals the bush-​league nature of WPB. This monied community has what it proudly calls a «world class cultural center» which has inexplicably opted to offer patrons prior to a performance only mediocre pre-​wrapped sandwiches, salads and soups, served in plastic containers which one then must carry to nearby small tables. The food is courtesy [or discourtesy] of the Breakers Hotel. Adding financial insult to this culinary injury is a built-​in service charge of 15 percent, atop of which there is a tip jar near the cash register for those who do not bother checking their checks.
I’m not suggesting that Kravis management hire a brand-​name chef, just someone who can do better than the current sorry state of edibles. A serving staff and tablecloth settings would be a major improvement.
Summation: bring your own food or eat elsewhere before arriving. You can only improve on the sole sorry option provide by Kravis.

Great place for shows!

Stunning venue (both the theater, lobby atrium and exterior), conveniently located in downtown WPB, walking distance to Tri-​Rail station. But what’s with the retail price only tickets?!? Traveled to the far corners of Google to find a deal,. and nuttin’!
Starts at $ 29 a ticket, with seats all the way in the next zip code.

On Sunday night my wife and I saw the MOMIX: BOTANICA. First, let me say that we love this place. Every time we go there we leave with a good feeling.
Let me tell you about the show. First it was spectacular. The dance group was so perfect and the music was right on the money! Each act was better then the next but they were all fantastic. The stage sets were breathtaking. This is modern ballet at its finest The choreography was unbelievable. If it comes around again, go to see it .I should also say that the parking was free and easy to go in and just as easy to leave, and there must have been a few hundred cars there.

Bottom line, this is a great venue.
THE PLACE
The parking is fairly easy in the parking garage. I never have an issue getting in or out of that parking garage. For any event, they also have police officers directing traffic (at least at the end of the event).
The theater is clean, well organized and all seats are pretty good. I have had the opportunity to sit down low, up high and in the boxes. Hard to go wrong with any seat, of course, depending on the type of show you are seeing.
THE DRINKS
The biggest problem is the drinks. The lines are always very long and slow moving during intermission. There are signs saying no food or drink in the theater, so after waiting so long for your drink, you need to funnel it to get it down before heading back to your seat.
Prices are what you would expect, so better to drink before you come (and after). City Place is right next door, so plenty of places to eat/​drink before or after.
THE STAFF
Very helpful and efficient in finding your seats. Good thing, because signage is a bit poor if you needed to figure it out yourself.

The place is very nice looking, on the water, and also well kept inside. I just wish the opera season (normally 3 operas) would be a bit longer and better. But it’s a nice place to have in downtown West Palm Beach. In recent years they increased the Broadway shows and they have also some concerts.
I go at least twice a year, in winter, for the opera.

The architecture of the building is very nice. I came to see Kravis on Broadway’s Pippin. The seating and stage were decent even being seated in the balcony section. It seems that the parking gets packed judging from the people waiting at the valet although I was lucky enough that the venue was within walking distance for me.
I didn’t realize that ticket sales were outside only, and accidentally waited in line in the lobby at the Will Call window. I was told to go outside and wait in the ticket sales line. I think there could be better signage especially since I came in through the opposite entrance of the ticket sales and didn’t pass it coming in.
Tip: There are discounts for students for most shows if you arrive an hour before the show. Just remember to bring your ID!

Let’s get right to it. I like to Valet park because I don’t like confusion and I like ease of entry and exit. I really liked the valet service with the Kravis Center and highly recommend it to anyone coming to an event here. The $ 12 price is well worth it. You are in quickly because they have two lanes and move you out quickly and the car ahead of it. Make sure you pay right after you get out of the car. The valet paying window is at the far right of the ticket windows. Paying ahead of time saves you buckets of time when you get out. Secondly, when you get out of the theater, you immediately give your ticket to a valet. The announcer on the loudspeaker tells you what lane your vehicle is in and in what spot. If that isn’t efficiency, I don’t know what is! After you get into your car, the Kravis Center is nice enough to have a lane for you to exit right onto Okeechobee so you don’t have to sit in the garage parking line waiting to get onto Dixie. It is very hassle free and again worth the money. Please make sure you tip your valet runner. he is working hard to make your experience a good one. No less than $ 5. This is 2015 for pete sake.
As for the interior experience, it is the same as everyone else had said so no need to reiterate the obvious.
I would come here again and I would bring friends.,

I took my Mother to Kravis Center while she was in town for Thanksgiving last year. We saw The Christmas Spectacular, featuring the Rockettes and we had a wonderful time.
I have also seen The Nut Cracker, at Kravis Center as well. Each time the atmosphere and performance was spectacular! #Kudos, #WellDone
*My only issue with Kravis is that the online seating chart is a bit confusing and backwards — my only issue with Kravis.

What a beautiful, beautiful place. I’ve been to so many shows here and have never, ever been disappointed with the venue. One of my siblings even had her high school graduation here way back when and it was awesome.
There’s ample seating and the Kravis Center is always clean. There are also plenty of food options nearby, making dinner and a show a great option for those living in WPB. Parking is also free, which is wonderful since not everywhere has that perk!
Definitely come see a show here. It’ll be a memorable experience.

Thursday, Feb. 6^th 2014 Kravis Center Dreyfoos Hall, Kenny Loggins Review.
The best part of his show was the end he sang two songs on his own, all the rest was sung by the audience, I wanted to hear Kenny Loggins. the audience was taking pictures I could not see the whole performance, the ushers were not doing there jobs worst performance I have ever seen. No More Kravis for us.

Great, huge center, big screens and lots of seating. Balcinies are the best. They also have excellent food choises, in case you get hungry during a game.

I absolutely love this place. It’s very easy to find. It’s so pretty and well kept inside. I have seen several shows here and it has always been a great experience.
The last show I went to see was Rock of Ages so I thought I may as well finally review this place. The stage is a good size. The sound is great. The staff is friendly and helpful when it comes to questions or showing you to your seats. They have a snack stands set up and you can get a drink if you want one.
I love this place and am looking forward to seeing more shows there.

A beautiful venue. I came to see Jekyl and Hyde starring the amazing Deborah Cox. The venue was sold out. I wish there had been a little more leg room between the rows. But the show was worth it.

Great programs, comfortable venue, easy parking close walking distance restaurants.
What’s not to like!

I came here a few months ago for a MAtisyahu concert. The place is easy to find, plenty of parking, and with beauuuuutiful architecture. It’s right by the water and near other establishments such as restaurants/​bars. Inside the theater you will have access to purchase drinks and snacks. Worried about missing a beat??? no need to fear, speakers in the lobby you will hear… Whatever show or concert is going on you can hear in the lobby while purchasing your refreshments. Saw lots of different crowds: old, young, children, adults, teenagers, fancy, casual, and veeeerryy casual. Ushers/​staff very helpful and pleasant. The acoustics inside the theater are amazing!!! the sound was so clear and crisp. I really enjoyed this place, too bad is so far from my house :(.

Came here the other night to see the Salute to Vienna.
A relatively new building designed to look like a European opera house.
Acoustic are fantastic. Speaking to someone who has performed here, she attests to the fact that Kravis is also a great place to perform.
Free parking is a HUGE perk. Valet parking is available too… for a fee, but as I recall it’s not too expensive.
