Muvico Parisian 20

Tried to call this theatre twice to immediately be put on hold for 5 ½ minutes before giving up. Just had a simple question to ask that could have been answered in 2 seconds.

On Saturday May 28^th my family and I headed to City place to watch «Alice Through the Looking Glass» at Muvico. We chose a movie during lunch so it wasn’t particularly busy plus nighttime at this theater is chaos. Purchasing our tickets was quick – they have kiosks and walk up counters outside the theater plus you have the option to purchase and print the tickets at home. Muvico City Place also offers three stories of concessions/​screens, Dbox seating, 2D/​3D IMAX experience, an arcade and parking validation. The employees were courteous, holding doors for us and pointing us in the direction of the elevator. I will say that even-​though we purchased 2D tickets the sound and clarity of the screen were great. During the summer the theater also provides kid friendly movies, drinks and popcorn for a discounted rate – a good option for those rainy summer days.
While some of the newer theaters offer premium cinema experiences, such as reclining seats and in cinema dining service, Muvico hasn’t done much to compete.
The house keeping of the overall theater could be improved, the bathrooms had toilet paper on the ground and the carpeting could use a good cleaning. The concession is also on the pricey side so I suggested grabbing a bite before hand at one of the many restaurants City Place has to offer. However as a warning, the parking validation only covers three hours so if you go over because you ate before – be prepared to pay.
Overall my experience wasn’t horrible and I will continue to come here for a nice matinée after lunch.

Well I’m back as a loyal customer. My husband and I just had another amazing movie going experience. We were one of the 1^st customers of the morning and every associate we came across was welcoming and truly friendly. The theater was clean along with the restrooms. So glade we gave them another shot.

Location is great. Concessions staff is horrible. Find people that want to help their customers.

C’mon, this place CERTAINLY doesn’t deserve 5 stars. It’s big, and used to be fancy, but they’re already letting it get a bit run-​down. And worst of all, the screens have gotten way smaller — at least that’s what people are saying. At first I thought I just kept seeing movies in theater rooms with smaller screens, but apparently they’re doing some kind of cost-​saving measure. The theaters are often fairly garbage-​strewn. Bathrooms are relatively clean, at least, and the concession stand people are pretty nice. The concession prices are ridiculous as is par for the course, but that’s not a point against them, that’s just how movie theaters do. I think this theater, which is absolutely huge, is just more than management can handle, to be honest. I will say this — they run special event screenings sometimes, which is cool (i.e., Rifftrax). But once you’ve been to some really good theaters, this place just doesn’t stack up. Sorry Muvico.

I do not go to the movies a lot, but this is the theater I go to when I do. I have not had any bad experiences here. It is a little bit crazy navigating your way through the city place party crowd on weekends, I guess, but this, really has nothing to do with the theater itself. This is a big, unique theater, with a bar, a d-​box theater, pemimium theaters, where the seats vibrate, and large screens. Of course there is conessions, and a game room. As mentioned in other reviews, there is free garage movie parking, if you validate your ticket. The staff has always been friendly, and there are numerous ticketing windows. There are numerius bars restaurants, and shopping at the theaters location. am not sure I could expect more here.

Went for the 10:30pm showing of deadpool, and all the concession stands were closed. The theater we were in had little to no A/​C throughout the film. This theater used to be better. Was disappointed.

This theater was pretty cool when it was Muvico but since Carmike bought them out its gone down the crapper they’re lways under staffed during the day and the employees seem to be miserable, also the managers that work there aren’t real managers, they’re kids in suits and ties who aren’t even in their 20s yet Wtf kind of business is that? Other then the lack of real managers and being understaffed it’s a very nice looking building besides the fact on the third floor concession booth a piece of the roof has bad water damage… The seats are pretty comfy and the movies generally start on time lol

The theater is huge! Big screens and plenty of seating. The only thing that would keep me from coming out again is that my car got hit inside the City Place parking garage.

Dirty grandpa movie was gross, terrible not funny. More people walked out than stayed to watch the movie. Robert DeNiro should be ashamed of taking that role.

This Muvico theater is huge. It has a downstairs and upstairs to this theater bigger than your normal traditional theater. If you are over the age 21+, you can then get a drink at the movie theater bar. Other than that the theater is basically the same like the others.
Tip: If you are planning on watching a movie here and you parked in the parking garage. Get your ticket validated in the theater after your movie and you don’t need to pay for parking. I think the limit is a two hour movie, then you have to pay (I think unless if they changed it).

If you’re looking for that big olé grand movie theater then this is the one! My little cousin was in awe when she entered, it’s usually super busy on weekends but you can pick your own seats so no need to worry about those. The lines can be a little long so get there early before they sell out, but good thing is they have plenty of showings. It’s clean and there’s a lot of employees. Get your parking ticket validated to save some money, because it is a little pricy!

I have been coming here for years this is the best theatre in palm beach county. I love it. Was very disappointed with cinepolis in jupiter had free tickets and still chose to come here for less headaches. Managers and staff are knowledgeable and great customer service. They allow my child to have a separate bag of popcorn because he doesn’t like butter at no x charge.

They need new seats in their theater. It’s all dirty and stained and just looks gross. The floor still had food and what looks like dry soda on the floor. I say dry because the floor was sticky! It’s not what it used to be.

Bought a movie ticket deal that included a huge popcorn for $ 8 a ticket. We’ve been going to Muvico since Cityplace opened – but years ago we moved from downtown to the North Palm area. We like to return every once in awhile, because we still love the area. Love a great movie deal from deal flicks

The Muvico is a great theater that has booze. This is the important part of the review. Wonderfully glorious booze. Beyond the alcohol, three stories of food and drink partnered with IMAX plus pick your seats in advance. I love this teahter.

We Loved Muvico Parisian! For years it was our «Go To» for a great experience.
THEN they got bought out.
The place immediately started a downhill journey. Got dirty, the prices on the Concession stand went up, but there were two other changes that ended this place for Us.
They eliminated the Reserved seats for IMAX, and let the sound system degrade.
Last time we went there were THREE of the six surround sound speakers MISSING FROM THE WALL!
You pay a premium price for IMAX, you expect and deserve a premium experience. Half the sound system missing is NOT that. Plus, the projector had not been converged in ages so there were rainbow halos, particularly bad for 3D!!!
The overall level of care has gone out the bottom, the new Owners appear to care about how much money they can make, not their clients.

Comfy seats pretty place, the ticket seller was not so friendly and the bar upstairs was open but no one was home, really?!! That was partly why I wanted to try this movie theater.

Review for the popcorn and beverages store upstairs.
SUPER SLOW SERVICE!!! They have a long line of customers and workers walk like they’re in the park! I just cant.

One of the best movie theaters I have ever been to. They have very comfortable seating, and ‘actual’ stadium seating, not the bs stadium seating most places in NYC have.
My only complaint is that when carmike theaters bought out movieco, they switched their tickets from normal ticket stubs to paper receipts. This is sooooo annoying cause I have always loved to collect my movie tickets since I was a little boy. Please bring back the real tickets!!!
