Bubbles Coin Laundry

Pretty good value for a Laundromat in Boston. This is located in West Roxbury on the VFW parkway in a small shopping center. There are plenty of washing machines that are different types. They have dryers that are based on 7 minute increments so you are not locked in for a full hour. They usually close at 10 PM. The lady who manages the place seems to be nice. The TV is always on and it can get loud sometimes. I have been able to wash and dry four loads with bedsheets for around nine dollars.

Being in this plaza SO many times within the last 6 months, due to the amazing Dollar Tree next door I assumed this laundromat was the same as the one I go to once a month or so (for extra cleaning and drying) in Norwood, called Bubbles UP. To my surprise, they are VERY different. This laundromat is much less «high-​tech», as they still use quarters in the machines in comparison to money cards in Norwood, yet they are much less expensive and washing and drying takes much less time. While I’d wish they’d do some updating, it’s a fine stop in the area for cleaning and drying. With a large, vast parking lot, and for a plus, someone working there for help and assurance of no one stealing clothes all the time. Located on the VFW Parkway in the plaza with Savers and Dollar Tree. 4 stars.

I use the wash & fold service. Ann is very accommodating, remembers my name, has an upbeat personality, & works hard. She gets my order right every time (such as certain types of clothes on hangers, others folded), & nothing on hangers is ever wrinkled. The BEST was & fold U’ve ever used. Everything is so clean and the employees are so helpful. Ann is great she works hard and remembers your name. I read some reviews and I know Ann don’t mean to be loud about slamming the driers. It’s really just how she talks. She really means no harm, she helps me all the time and I enjoy it since I’m alone doing my laundry, not knowing anyone. Thank you Ann

Third review time! Okay, so this place is a good one. Anne works hard and remembers your name. She can get a little pushy, but it’s worth it for how quickly and hard she works.

The gas has been shut off to my house for a few days because of maintenance. So naturally that means no drier. Deciding to take a chance, I took my laundry to this place intending to do 3 loads. I did three loads in under 2 hours for $ 11.75 from start to finish. The only downsides are that there aren’t many seats, and there are no vending machines (which I’m used to having in laundromats). Overall a pretty good day!

Cheaper than other places. Asian worker scolded me rather than please do not slam the dryer doors she yelled «gentle gentle» at me. Would have been 4 stars til I got barked at.
Negatives are that no where is it advertised how much time per quarter you get. Driers work and don’t rip you off. Dryer doors are magnetic and slam themselves. Grow up lady.
Savers next door keeps me occupied.

I always forget to write a review about this place but they are fantastic. It’s only like 93 or 97 cents a pound. These ladies some how manage to get all the stains out of my clothes. And when I have extra time to wash my clothes myself they have great 60 pound washers and 100 pound driers that do the job quick.

Came here last night, 830 was the last load but Anne refused to send me away she helped me with my loads and gave me some laundry tips. Had two overfilling hampers and spend about 14 since I used the big load machines. Will be coming back thank you for being so kind Anne!

$ 9.50 to wash and dry three loads of laundry wasn’t bad at all and also I got through my entire process pretty quickly. There is a lady that works there who I believe is either the owner or the manager and she’s very friendly stopping to talk to everyone that entered bubbles that day

We used to come to Bubbles about 8 – 9 years ago. The woman who runs this place is so unbelievably kind and friendly. To date, this is the cleanest laundromat I’ve ever been to!!! Everything is always sparkling and smells good, with lots of folding space. Bubbles, no other laundromat will ever live up to you. You are now the bar against which all laundromats are measured!

Great laundromat. But no Wi-​Fi. Or at least no Wi-​Fi was available today.

Went there last night after home washer/​dryer died. I needed a quick instruction on usage and Ann was very helpful at first, adjusting the dryer settings, and showing me the coin and soap dispensers. I noticed that she had me use a triple washer when it was not indicated and had set it to do two washings — a small batch of towels turned out to cost me $ 9.00 to wash and then $ 2.50 to dry. She’s pretty slick and seems to prey on the landromat newbies.
Also, she ripped the coins out of my hand when I advised her that the coin intake in the washing machine was stuck after already dispensing half of the required coins. She became very upset and said, «what, you don’t understand how to do this?» Also, when I proceed to open the washer door when the load stopped, she ran over and slammed the door closed, saying «not okay». Very bizarre behavior. She was quite rude and always in my face during my agonizing two hours there. Another customer even tried accusing me of stealing her change out of the coin dispenser — after watching me change two $ 10.00 bills.
I used one of the older washers with the agitator as well for a white wash — many of the clothes came out with yellow stains after washing. I noticed a greenish/​yellow film on the top of the washing tub afterward. Don’t use these washers.
My experience was nightmarish and I will not be back. Please — somebody help Ann with customer service and English language skills. She was quite rude.

When our washer broke and we needed to do laundry on Saint Patrick’s Day Night we headed for bubbles. When we walked in we were informed they closed at 9, it was about 820 and we weren’t going to be able to be done in time. However the nice woman working (by herself) said to do our laundry and she would stay open for us.
After helping us with the correct amount of coins to put in the washers and dryers to get what we wanted she stayed open an extra 25 minutes for us and saved the day.
Good stuff.

This place is a great for a no thrills laundry experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and the owner is nice (gave us free hangers for our dress shirts & pants). The machines are on the older side, but they’re still coin operated (a big plus) and at $ 2.00 a wash, you can’t go wrong. Add another 25 cents per 7 minutes to dry.

Loved this place. My boyfriend and I came here all the way from Brighton. We can’t stand any of the places around us. They are either too crowded, or half the machines are broken. Not at bubbles! They have a lot of machines! A good amount of triple loads as well. Everything looked like it was working properly, or at least there weren’t any signs saying otherwise. It’s in a huge parking lot, so we brought our longboards to help pass the time. It’s the best laundry experience we’ve had in 2 years. We will be back!

My first Bubbles experience was last weekend. Bubbles had the most positive comments on Unilocal and is closest to my apartment, so I dropped off 3 weeks worth of laundry to be washed, dried and folded on Thursday. Ann Lee was so very friendly and promised me she’d take great care of my clothes. When I picked them up on Saturday afternoon, I was embarrassed to find she only took cash and I didn’t have enough on me. I told her I could run to the ATM and come right back, but she insisted she «knew I’d be back» and let me take my laundry even though I was $ 11.00 short. I was incredibly amazed because it was my first time there, and she had no idea that I’d actually be back, but I guess that speaks to her confidence in the service she provides, their repeat customer base, and the fact that she could tell I’m an honest person.
My clothes are immaculately clean and folded, and I would recommend Bubbles to anyone and everyone.
And don’t worry, I went there today to pay her the rest :)
