Houseworx – Corey Lewis

Corey was recommended to me and my first meeting with him went fine. He spent time going over the space and had some good ideas. Some things on his estimate were reasonable but some were definitely way off. I wanted to discuss it and the scope of the project changed slightly by the time I got his estimate so I asked if he could stop by briefly so that we could go over things.
He came by and we went to the room and I started by saying the first item was the same, but when I questioned the need to use Wedi boards in the bathroom rather than the standard material (given that they cost 7 times as much & the room is tiny!), he lost it.
Before I could finish my sentence he said, «I don’t want this. I’m not doing this job.» Or something like that as he walked out of my house! REALLY? Talk about unprofessional! People had told me that he was difficult but c’mon! It doesn’t matter if the work he does is good because you’re at the mercy of his mood. I’m just happy that he showed his true colors before the job was started! It would have been a nightmare if he had behaved the same way mid-​job!
Steer clear!

I do not recommend Houseworx. What started out as prompt service for a quick job turned out to be a comedy of errors, no shows, and attitude in order to complete it.
