Everytime I come here it gets worse and worse. Today I called in a large buffalo chicken pizza requesting for it to be well done in hopes of the crust being crispier. I came in 20 min later expecting to pick up my pizza right away but ended up waiting another 25 min. The pizza itself sub par at best… definitely not made the same as before. Certainly well done and burnt on the outside but it almost felt like the dough was undercooked. I might give this place another shot in the distant future but probably not.

Good food… they replace ingredients when they run out and they don’t tell you

Ok the onion rings and sauce are always great. And I’ve had an excellent Cuban panini. Now I’m having a very fresh Italian sub type sand-which. It all tastes fresh and good quality veggies on it. I’ve been going to eat here when I can. It’s only infrequent because I hardly go to the areas where they are located. But when I do and I can I stop here for lunch and dinner and never been disappointed. Yay Real Deal. I’ll give you five stars if you open somewhere in Boston proper.

In west roxbury there is a lot of choices where you can get a good burger. But by far The real deals Green Monster has been the best burger I’ve had in a long while. It’s so yummy and so big! And best of all it comes with a heaping portion of piping hot curly fries. I recommend this place and they deliver up until 8pm so if you’re looking for a late dinner order from here.

Real Deal West Roxbury is the best of all the Real Deals(the one in Cleveland circle is terrible) They have a huge menu and great sandwiches. Only complaint is the prices… It’s about ten bucks for just the sandwich. chips, fries and a drink are extra.

I can’t figure out how this place stays in business, and why every couple of years I try it out again. All the food is OK, decent deli sandwiches and pizza. But $ 9.50 for a turkey club with avocado(Sammy the Bull) and it had one single piece of bacon. Way too expensive for what it is.

The food is great all around. Where they struggle is in their service. The people are rude and never admit mistakes. I’ve even heard the manager yelling at a customer before when I was on the phone with their cashier. They give you attitude instead of trying to fix their problems. Delivery is also horrendous. I’ve had pizza, more than once, flipped cheese side down when I open the box. The only reason I order from here is the food quality and convenience, but every time I have one of these terrible service experiences I kick myself for not giving up on them. Get better front of house employees and give your kitchen staff a raise.

Service was very friendly but slow. My boyfriend and I ordered the Big Foot with curly fries and the Dracula with regular fries. Both burgers took well over 20 minutes to arrive, and when they did the fries were cold(the regular fries felt soggy). Also, both burgers came with bacon, but it was half cooked and the fat was not rendered(resulting in a very soggy, greasy piece of bacon). Although the fries and bacon were a huge letdown, the burgers were perfectly cooked and juicy. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be in a rush to come back here anytime soon.

The Real Deal in West Roxbury is exactly what the name says. Real ingredients, variety, fun names of sandwich items, pizza that is not only good, fresh and authentic; but generous portions. …all for a great deal. Today I had the Clam Chowder Cup and Fig and Pig Panini. The chowder was hot, smooth with rich cream, the hint of butter, chunks of perfectly cook potatoes, loaded with clams and seasoned to perfection. It was fulfilling and what New England Clam Chowder should be. Real and heart warming on a cold day. The Pig n Fig Panini was loaded with generous portions of prosciutto, perfect touch of fog jam and blue cheese spread. Grilled to a toasty crunch and a joy in every bite. The taste of the prosciutto with salty touch, but overwhelming. Pressed to just melt and blend the flavors. Solid flavor. My guests enjoyed The Sicilian, The Executive and mom had the Portbella Sandwich. We couldn’t leave without sharing a cheese slice that was incredible mix of freshly made dough cooked perfectly with the right amount of sauses and cheese. Nice visit at lunch today, did not disappoint.

Ordered pizzas for a football game — $ 58.00 for three pizzas and delivery/tip(!!) so we were expecting the food to be good. Delivery was on time but pizzas were cold and dry. Pulled pork pizza had no BBQ sauce, so it was basically pork pizza —? Yuck. Not at all worth the price.

I really enjoy the food, and I think the prices are reasonable. However, the service is crazy slow. I’ve been there four times and it is hard to believe they cannot streamline the orders, preparation, and overall service.

They used to be good. Now it is overpriced and stingy. Over $ 10 for a salad with MAYBE1.5 ounces of overcooked chicken. Not a happy customer, and I won’t be back.

Mediocre and not worth the prices. There aren’t tons of other options in the neighborhood but it’s worth trying to find one

Great food for either take out, eat in, or delivery. Their paninis are delicious-the italiano is always great. Delivery is always hot and on time. Where eating in, the food is prompt and you can get dessert next door at sugar.

This place makes great substitute cheese steaks since I’m so far from Philadelphia. Their pizza is really good, too. I’ve never had a bad experience with the service or my orders. The people who work here are always happy or at least they seem to be. I also can’t complain about the wait time. They’re pretty fast.

I’ve been coming to the Real Deal for years now. Their pizzas and sandwiches are always great. In a day where the old school deli all but seems to have disappeared, the Read a Deal is well, the real deal. The quality of their ingredients really shines through and the varieties of sandwiches seem endless. Homemade bread(from Fornax I think), Boar’s Head deli meats, fresh veggies. Yum! My boyfriend is a big fan of the Super Angry Beef. I can barely decide which sandwich I want to order, let alone publicly commit to favorite. I have to show the pizza some love too. By the slice or as a whole pie, it’s good old fashioned Boston Italian pizza. The only thing downside I can even think about is that sometimes the kitchen gets overwhelmed and service can be painfully slow. I only have experienced that with larger call ahead orders in the past though, never walking in with one or two things to order. Oh and the curly fries are great too.

We stopped in for a late lunch and I was impressed with the size of the menu — there is something for everyone. I had one of the specials, a Thai chicken wrap that was huge and very filling. My lunch date had a panini and we were both full and happy. A great choice for a quick lunch in West Rox.

Used to love this place, but they are definitely slipping. Our delivery orders never show up in a reasonable timeframe, and the quality has gone down substantially. I used to feel like when I ordered from Real Deal I was getting quality ingredients, so I was okay paying a bit more for it. But no longer. Gristly chicken and charred veggies thrown on bread does not make a sandwich. And lately it just feels like everything I get from Real Deal is just coated in grease. They were a lunchtime staple for a long time, but I have to say, I’ve finally given up.

Today I came here for the first time… and I guarantee that I will be back. The menu is impressive and the food is good. I had a steak & cheese bomb(no mushrooms) and it was good. The service is solid too. When the sandwich first came out it had mushrooms and the cashier lady caught it; she insisted on making me another one. They have fresh meats here as well. As if all that weren’t enough, the place is attached to a bakery with fine desserts– one can walk back-and-forth between the two establishments. If you like a good deli spot, especially for lunch, I recommend you stop in. Dooooo iiiittt!
