I took my certified used Jeep in, which I have only had for 8 months in a very mild winter to get it looked at after I thought I heard some noise coming from the exhaust. I was told that I needed a brand new muffler and that it was rotting from the inside out. The cost: $ 512. My car sat there for 3 days, the part never came in, and we were forced to pick it back up because the part was on «national back order» and would not be in for a week or so. My husband and I decided in the interim to take it back to the dealer that sold us the car, which also has a service center. Upon a complete review by a mechanic and foreman, they determined there was absolutely nothing wrong with my car. I cannot believe that this shop tried to take advantage of our family and put a part on my car that we did not need, and charge us for no reason. Based on my experience, I would highly suggest getting a second opinion, or avoiding them all together.

My muffler was dropping and I needed it looked and fixes asap. I went to Monro to get it looked at, and they took my car right away, they looked at it and was able to tell me what was wrong with it in under 30 minutes.

Hard to tell how the service is because I can’t even get my car in there. Stopped in twice and both times stood there and waited forever for the guy in the office to get off the phone. Apparently I’m invisible because he made no effort, no «I’ll be with you in a minute» or anything. Just stood there (ironically underneath the «manager wanted» sign) and completely ignored me like I wasn’t standing a foot and half away obviously waiting for him. Probably did me a favor anyway, I’ve been in there years ago for oil changes and they don’t do most of the things they’re supposed to do. They don’t top off any of the fluids, grease any of the fittings and they certainly don’t rotate the tires. Might be low priced but you don’t even get what you pay for so where’s the bargain? Waste of my time, never again.

Disappointed. Had each of my vehicles taken here 2 days in a row for an oil change and rotation. Both times the rotation was not done. Makes u wonder if they change the oil or just reset the computer. Both times they were drop offs, so maybe u have to waste ur time and babysit.

This is where I take my car for basic services (oil change, inspection, headlight out). Monroe generally doesn’t have a great reputation, and I personally know people that have been ripped off at other locations, but I’ve never had a problem here. It’s probably the cheapest place in the area to get an oil change, and they can do small fixes really quickly with their parts delivery service. The guy who works in the office is super nice and friendly too. I will continue bringing my car here for routine maintenance.
