Decided to go with Chinese take out for the NBA Finals. Very small establishment in West Springfield. We ordered two General Tso’s and the Cashew Pork. Both came with fried rice. We thought everything was really good.

New Joy Wah is one of the few Cantonese restaurants in our area and after my first visit, I’m sure I’ll be going back to try other dishes on the menu. Fried Rice in many Chinese American restaurants generally is lack luster and a mere plate filler, not here at NJW, it was above average and caught my attention right away. The House Chicken with light brown sauce was another surprise, not only was it flavorful but the portion size was quite large more than I was expecting for $ 5.95. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and the addition of cabbage gave the dish a textural crispy crunch which was a very nice touch. Prices are moderate making this place a good value for an above average quick lunch.

Not bad at all! I generally don’t order much other than the all day special c their fried foods are usually brown and crisp. Service is fast the owner is a sweetheart who works hard! Not my number one fav Chinese food place, but certainly my top 3! Just wish they would deliver

Overpriced for sure. The food is pretty good but the place needs a major renovation inside. It’s also hard to order over the phone depending on who you get. I used to order there a lot, but I don’t think it’s worth the price… seriously.

New Joy Wah has some of the best General Tso’s Chicken around. I almost always get the letter E(extra spicy) and its fantastic and you get tons of food. I can never finish it in one sitting!
