I love this little place. The owners are an older couple and I am pretty sure that it’s mostly family that works here. Support Local Business’ and eat at Deciantis!

Great place to stop for a drink along the bike path. Really delicious milkshakes!!! Have been in business longer than I have been alive so they must be doing something right! //edit// In response to that bad review below me, they said«We went there just a few days ago, I ordered lemon, which had a somewhat bitter almost artiificial taste. But it was the feeling in the mouth that really bothered me» Lemon Ice Cream? Of course it sucked. Lemon curdles dairy. Idk why you would order that anyway. Don’t leave a bad review just for your poor choice. Also, unrelated, their website is(not joking!) icecreamisawesome dot com. Seriously, how awesome is that?

This is a really nice ice cream parlor that is undergoing a little bit of a renascence. They are open through the winter, which is good news for the ice cream fans out there. I never understand why the places shut down in the winter, but that is just me. They make all of there ice cream on sight(hard and soft) and they have a good selection of sugar free as well. They are also doing a bit of baking(pies and cobblers) and the odd ice cream cake/roll/cupcake. On the down low, I had their ‘Almond Joy’ ice cream, and it was better than Brickleys. No, I am not saying that I think they are better, but if Brickley’s is closed or you don’t want to travel all the way to South County… My wife had the Mint Chocolate Chip. She thought it was okay, but not as good a Blue Bell. Being from Texas, we are just partial that way. But, she did admit that it was probably because it was homemade and have a strong mint flavor. Go figure, women. They do have soft serve but currently the decision is to have it shut down in the winter months. We did have a word about and a change in decision may be made, but I can understand that unless it is moving, it can go bad, so a waste of money. They are also starting to move towards a deli/café environment. During the summer, they will have outdoor seating. John, the owner seems very excited about the expansion which kind of flows over. But until then, you can still get the sandwiches, salads, wraps and pizza on the inside. The only real complaint I have is that they are only open on the weekdays. I really don’t understand why places like this do that. I would think you would close on Wednesday and Thursday if you wanted to have two days off, but what do I know. John is a great guy, the staff is attentive. There was a good steady flow of traffic for ice cream and for whole pizza’s while I was there. It is a local joint and they deserve our attention. Just give them a shot.
