Bel Islands Home Improvement has done several projects at our historical 200-​year-​old house on the Cape, with new roofs, new siding (both cedar clapboard and shakes) on the house and multiple outbuildings.
Andrei and his crew operated like a well coached team, perfectly coordinated and equipped for each phase, demolition of old roofing and siding, repair of framing underneath, underlayment, flashing, drip edges, gutters and exterior trim.
Andrei had provided detailed descriptions of the work to be performed, photographing each element prior to beginning each task. Photos were taken throughout the process to document the job from beginning to end, resulting in some dramatic before-​and-​after photos for our own albums.
Along the way certain questions arose such as whether to add decorative exterior moulding for which additional costs and tradeoff were discussed. We agreed to Andrei’s tasteful suggestions, and continue to enjoy the additional detail.
Upon completion of each project, the Bel Islands crew leaves no trace of construction debris, using magnetic rollers to extract any stray nails from patio, grass and even mulched areas. All wood and used construction materials were hauled away promptly and without even a hint of sawdust, having been carefully vacuumed wherever it had overdrifted the tarps.
Beyond mere excellence in workmanship, they have continually proven to be punctual, reliable, competitively priced and a pleasure to work with.
