I think this is the best ice cream i’ve every had… :)

We came in for ice cream on a late August afternoon, so I can’t speak for the grill side of the business. I thought that this approach seemed interesting — choose vanilla or chocolate and a flavor to mix in. Turns out that their machine pulverized the mix in. So my heath bar chewy goodness was gone. The result was that my ice cream was one homogenous flavor. The staff was attentive, and brought your order to you when ready, so I can see how this could get slow when busy.

We discovered this place in an endeavor to find something to eat around 4pm… Our choice was very interesting considering that day was actually pretty cold. But they do offer some quick bites. Owners was extremely nice and food was ok, and that’s all we needed. No complaints :)

SLOWSLOWSLOW! The staff seemed in no hurry to complete orders. They had one small guy tossing«ice cream disks» Into a creamer to try and soften it to where it was edible. They needed more people helping him and less people sitting around. The food was delicious and their hot fudge is amazing! Seriously get anything with hot fudge on it.

Great little spot for ice cream. Extremely friendly, helpful & welcoming staff. Love how it works here… Choose chocolate or vanilla and what ever toppings you like and then watch them mix it in an old style ice cream screw. Homemade cones & waffle bowls… Yum!

Crazy slow! The ice cream was good. The kids talked about how much they liked their sundae. We passed a few ice cream shops to get to Arrowhead. We wondered if we would have been better off someplace else. Their process was not meant for many people all at once.

The best ice cream parlor I’ve ever been to! You choose which flavor, chocolate or vanilla, to be your base. Then you choose if you want it to be frozen yogurt or ice cream. Then, they have a long list of flavors, nuts, and fruits you can combine together to create your own unique flavor. They have cool machines that they blend your serving of ice cream and your flavors together in that has just enough for one person. The service is fast too.

We stopped by this place right after leaving the park, we had vanilla and strawberry ice cream. Everyone loved their ice cream but we all agreed that the cone was too sweet and uneatable, did we get a sugar cone instead of a waffle cone? We paid around $ 15 for 3 tall ice creams.

First time here and it seemed popular. Glad I stopped by because the ice cream was delsih. Had huckleberry ice cream and it was out of this world. Creamy and fruity and they gave a lot. Hidden gem within the West Yellowstone area. Definitely a place to go to.

We love coming here whenever we visit West Yellowstone. My review will be of our last visit and this restaurant’s ice cream. During this visit, it was raining really hard and we were still craving their ice cream! You can choose vanilla or chocolate ice cream or frozen yogurt and then can add one mix in, or more for a small fee. There are TONS of mix ins to choose from, but my husband and daughter never stray from their favorite huckleberry. They both give this flavor 5 stars. As for me, I like to switch it up. This visit I decided on vannila ice cream with peanut butter and marshmallows mixed in. Oh wow, so so yummy! I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone visiting. I have never tried their food, but it looked tasty and everyone around us was ordering food.

Mmmmm… ice cream. Was different than the usual ice-cream, but still yummy. It was a refreshing treat on a hot day. Employees were friendly.

Fresh huckleberries. Creamy and cool on a warm summer day with mini chunks of ice that add a refreshing texture to this Montana /Yellowstone classic. Our question as we strolled in to West Yellowstone: «where is the best huckleberry ice cream in town?» Well, according to Unilocalers and the random locals we asked, Arrowleaf Ice Cream Parlor is the place to go for your huckleberry fix. With a big chalkboard listing out the dozens of creamy options — I’m confident you’ll find a scoop that tickles your fancy. Note: $ 1 extra for any dessert that featured this pricey berry. We paid $ 10 for a waffle cone and huckleberry shake. Both were delicious. This business also appears to be a hot spot for fried classic American eats like fries, fish and burgers. It’s pretty greasy and old time-y inside which makes for a perfect ice cream-eating perch.

Pretty good ice cream. It’s a different concept with blended items into a vanilla or chocolate base. Unlike cold stone, you can’t see what’s going into the mix and I’ll admit it took me a bit to figure out how to order. My daughter took a really long time to settle on a flavor – too many choices, probably not ideal for young kids. And they sure hide their bathroom.

So what do you want on a hot day? Some want an ice cold beer, others might want ICECREAM!!! Well if your in West Yellowstone and your in the mood for Ice Cream, there are a number of options, however you won’t be disappointed in the service, and flavor options available at Arrowleaf. While somewhat strange at first as others mention they start with a base of vanilla or chocolate and you pick the size, cone or bowl, and flavor. They mix it up and presto change-o you have your ice cream. The only downside to the Arrowleaf is it’s size, on a hot summer night seating can be limited. So if you find yourself in West Yellowstone, and want some Ice Cream this is the place.

Weird ice cream. They seem to think that mixing the ice cream in their little machine does something special to it. I ordered a «rocky road» and it was horrible. I could not taste any marshmellows or nuts in the ice cream.

What do tourists like? Well, in Vegas the answer is usually cups of alcohol longer than your arm and naked women. However, when I’m in the outside world, there’s nothing more associated with tourists than fudge and ice cream. We played the consummate role of tourists as we were rounding our our perfect Yellowstone vacation in search of ice cream. We had a car of 5 gals who had been craving ice cream for approximately 4 hours. Since we were closing down the season in the park, none was to be found in the usual visitor stores within the park, so by the time we reached West Yellowstone we were desperate. A quick stop in at the chamber of commerce pointed us in the direction of Arrowleaf, and while we saw no fewer than three places that would have provided for us along the two block walk, I’m glad we persevered to our destination. Arrowleaf is a fantastic family run ice cream parlor and grill that shows their community pride for the various local groups and youth sports teams they support along their walls. Their mission is simple. You get the option of vanilla or chocolate, ice cream or yogurt, and they have a seeming endless list of «mix-ins» from local Huckleberry to caramel, any kind of cookie, candy, peanut butter, coffee, pumpkin pie — literally a list of around 40 items. They have a really cool blending machine that puts cold stone to shame and viola, you have an amazing concoction of creamy, cold deliciousness. They also offer malts and shakes(that can be made with any of the mix-ins), and have some grilled items that we didn’t try(the typical burgers, fries, fried mac-n-cheese, etc.). The service was phenomenal and the selection overwhelming. I can’t wait for an excuse to return.

The best fish tacos you could ask for. If you are in West Yellowstone, MT and you do not stop in to this restaurant for some of their ice cream YOU. HAVE. MISSED. OUT. I have struggled writing this review for several reasons. There are going to be a lot of what I’m sure are seemingly superflous adjectives and descriptions in this review, things like«out of this world» and«absolutely wonderful». I get it, if you’re anything like me you see these and you roll your eyes. I don’t like writing them anymore than you like reading them but in this case they are honestly true. It’s very rare for me to find a place that is just, so… absolutely wonderful. This is going to be one of my shorter reviews just because there really are no words, and I have absolutely nothing to say. This is what a family restaurant is supposed to be. Last summer I spent a lot of time in West Yellowstone, MT, and if you’re not familiar with the town it is very, very touristy. The whole town is built around the attraction of the park and the difficulty is that there is a whole lot of flair and fluff to most of the establishments but usually not a lot of substance. Which is why I was so absolutely blessed to have found this amazing little gem tucked away in a non-assuming store front. This is a terrific restaurant with great food and a wonderful family atmosphere. Mike and Pily are the owner/managers and they are absolutely wonderful people who have been great to me everytime I’ve gone in. As I said, the fish tacos are absolutely wonderful as are all of the burgers. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu and that is not something that I say lightly. I did not have the opportunity to try everything on the menu, but I tried. I really tried. Part of the problem is that the fish tacos were so good I kept going back to them, but I digress. The ice cream is out of this world. They make it any way you want it with numerous candy toppings that they have as well as fruits and nuts. The milkshakes are great and you can select your flavors for those as well. The service at Arrowleaf has always been wonderful. If you are kind and polite to them they will respond 10 fold in kind. Even if you aren’t they are still terrific people. So yeah, this is a really short review for me. I could honestly go on, and on, and on about the quality of this restaurant and the quality of the people that work there. Every single time I visited they were absolutely incredible, without fail. In my experience that just doesn’t happen with restaurants anymore. As I said, if you were in West Yellowstone and you didn’t stop by Arrowleaf, you missed out.

Boohoo! I’m cravin Pily’s chicken tacos like crazy right now! This place is… so good. If you are in West, you HAVE to go there. Go for lunch, dinner, dessert, or all three. My food recommendation would obviously be chicken tacos… or a buffalo cheeseburger(yummmm), and if you get dessert, MY personal favorite is chocolate brownie cheesecake in a cone/dish. Oh man. I’m making myself hungry thinking about it. And prices are good, too for West. Keep in mind you’re in a tourist town, so everything’s going to look a little pricey. But the amount of food you’ll get for your money, and the excellent service is better than anything you’ll get anywhere else. The only thing that comes close is Café Madrid. So do Arrowleaf for lunch, Madrid for dinner. You WILLNOT be sorry.

Best milkshakes I had in West Yellowstone hands down. Start with chocolate or vanilla, and then create your own combination. We tried Chocolate/Peanut Butter shakes, Chocolate/Oreo and Chocolate/Brownie shakes: all were outstanding. Also excellent was the turtle caramel fudge ice cream in a waffle bowl. Mixed verdict on the buffalo burgers: two of us liked them, the other two felt they were nothing special. The service was quick and attentive. Great place, and really hopping and busy with a nice energy when we stopped by in the early evening. The deserts were so good we made a special effort to return before our vacation ended!
