DMIA is a great family-​run insurance agency in Westborough, MA. They are friendly, and most importantly, pay attention to detail.
These guys take the time to walk you through the options, and explain your policy in detail (if you want to know how the rates break down; and figure out the policy that’s right for you). I find that they are much more accessable than dealing directly with a major insurance company. They work through MAPFRE and Commerce, so you’re still getting that level of quality insurance.
DMIA can also save you a trip to the DMV, although I haven’t taken advantage of this service yet.

We switched to Dolan and Maloney insurance about 7 years ago, and couldn’t be happier. Patrick Tobiasson has been the most outstanding agen I can dream of. He’s helped reduce our insurance costs, made smart recommendations for important areas to consider, and has provided exceptional service. There have been a dozen exampled of him going out of his way to help us, from reminders to take insurance off a «summer» car we have as it goes into winter storage, to making it simple and painless to get a new roof on our home after storm damage, but what stimulated me writing this review was recent service of getting a car registered, then a month later getting me new plate stickers after I must have misplaced the one he sent previously. No hassles, just a simple «not to worry, I’ll take care of you» after contacting him with simple email or phone call.

they stall you so long for a homeowners policy while «shopping for the best price» and then when they know it is the last minute give you a quote double what others charge. super high rates, charge cancellation fees of $ 1000 and up. owner is extremely rude and hangs up on you when you dispute the cancellation fees. this company is so rude, hostile, unprofessional, untimely and awful. please do not use them ever for an insurance policy. i stupidly got totally taken advantage of by these people and lost a lot of money. bad bad people…

We’ve insured two cars personally, and referred several family members and friends to Patrick Tobiasson. He is professional, responsive, and attentive to his clients’ needs. It’s obvious that he genuinely cares and does his best to help. I highly recommend him and the folks at Dolan & Maloney.

So, you just bought a car, and are you looking for car insurance? Are you looking for a good deal in car insurance? Well, if you bought a car somewhere in the somewhat decent state of Massachusetts, this place is actually a good choice if you really need car insurance.
What is insurance and why do you need it for a car? If you drive a car without insurance, it is actually illegal. What insurance means is you pay for «protection» in case something really bad happens, such as a really awful car accident and you get injured. Your «insurance premium» (price you pay) is based off your driving record (more car accidents, more speeding tickets results in high «insurance premiums»), where you live, the drivers you are «insuring», and how much monetary «protection coverage» you need (collision damage and terrible injuries) and other «factors». It’s definitely a complex topic, and it’s not really a interesting topic explaining it to children unless they are extremely precocious. Insurance companies may not be one of the most interesting businesses, but they definitely make a lot of money.
I was buying a car, and I was looking for the best car insurance prices. The car I was buying is a somewhat «upscale but compact» car. I looked at more than six «extremely famous insurance companies» online that claimed to offer the best prices and savings. All the prices they were offering were fairly expensive, so I decided to look for an insurance agent nearby the dealership where I was buying the car.
I went over to this place, and met up with a friendly guy with thick glasses. His name was Tom Dolan Junior. I sat down with him, and our conversation was getting funnier and funnier. We were able to talk over my car insurance needs in the simplest and most entertaining way possible, and I was able to get an «insurance policy» at a price that was almost 50% less than the «insurance policies» offered by the «extremely famous insurance companies».
This place is a traditional family business. Tom Dolan Junior’s father, Tom Dolan Senior, is one of the owners of this place, and he seems to be a really «jolly good fellow». Tom Dolan Senior is also friendly enough to answer really complex insurance questions. Tom Dolan Junior calls him «the guru» and «the old man» for insurance and works with him very closely. Tom Dolan Junior’s mother works here as an assistant and she’s also a licensed insurance agent.
Overall, if you truly think you are paying too much for car insurance, and you think you can get a better deal, I would recommend that you consider this family business, especially Tom Dolan Junior and Tom Dolan Senior. They really make car insurance a lot more fun to talk about and I think they are probably one of the many examples of good customer service. Tom Dolan Junior is probably one of the best examples of the most fun insurance agents to work with, and I hope other insurance agents from the other companies can learn how to be entertaining as him.

I have been a customer of Dolan & Maloney since moving to the area in 1998. Tom’s team of professionals have seen me through two new drivers as well as two homes. I consistently get great service and great options. Having a single source who sees my entire picture makes a tremendous difference.
