For those in need of memory care, The Alcove upper level provides a private, protective setting utilizing the latest research. Careful consideration has been given to color and pattern selections with the guidance of industry experts. Additionally, lighting plans (spacing, brightness, style) were developed with engineers from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The result is a relaxing atmosphere designed to maximize ease and comfort.

Owners and founders, Alfred and Judith Schonberger, lovingly manage Amber Court Assisted Living Communities. With characteristic devotion, they have brought unmatched quality care to seniors since 1968. Their shared vision is centered in a commitment to provide every resident with a highly personalized program. It is a comprehensive approach designed to meet medical, emotional, social, and psychological needs.
This pledge to make a meaningful difference to seniors extends to affiliations with several organizations. Mr. Schonberger chairs the Quality Assurance Committee at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn and serves on the executive board of the Empire State Association of Assisted Living, where his wife is also a member. He is one of the esteemed founders of the renowned Kesser Rehabilitation Center as well.
