This is a very good deli, I’ve been coming here for years. The place is well kept and always very clean. The staff is always polite and friendly. I am a big fan of their chopped salads. The lettuce is always fresh and they always put just the right amount of ingredients in. It can get a little pricey but hey you get what you pay for right?

Friendly staff, but this place is way over priced. By the time you leave with a coffee and a bagel it is over 5.00 dollars. Give me a break 3.50 is the most that both should be. So, in closing not worth the extra expensive food.

My sister and I decided to get some breakfast after our morning work-out. The food was actually good. Although, it was pricy. However, that was not the issue. The owner or manager who is working there is clearly a racist person. I did not get his name but he’s bald/very thinning hair with glasses. Every single black or minority individual was quickly push out of the doors before they can even finish their orders. My sister told him that we wanted our order to stay but instead he packed it up to go. When I received our order I informed him again that we wanted to stay but he gave me an attitude. Then my sister asked for a cup of coffee but told us that they ran out of coffee. Although, there were 6 pots of freshly brewed coffee behind him. My sister asked a second time. But he still denied her. I finally asked, on my sister behalf, he gave me the coffee but it was served with a nasty attitude. He was upset or pissed. We walked away and sat down to try to enjoy our breakfast. My sister return to the counter to get some condiments. Now one of his fellow workers told my sister, «We do not have pepper and salt for your kind.» I was very very completely disgusted with this establishment.

I really like brendel’s! It’s a great place for take-out food! The cranberry chicken cous cous is delicious, and I love thief wide variety of sandwiches!

Brendel’s have the worst customer service, I called and order the #7 break fast wrap and french toast order my total was $ 13.08, my co-worker also order a bacon egg and cheese it was $ 5 I paid with my card, my coworker paid with his, when the food got here and I took it went to the lunchroom as I sat down I looked at the receipt they charged my card 18.08, after I called and got transferred around 4 times a man got on the phone and said yeah your coworkers card was declined so we charged it on yours, I told them I must have a minimum amount on my card, I didn’t authorized you guys to make an extra charge on my card, he said listen you making a big deal out of nothing, I got so upset ask what you mean a big deal you can’t charge my card without my autorization for something I didn’t purchase, he said ask your coworker for the $ 5 hang up the phone on Me, I call him back he was still going on and on arguing with me, and kept saying is only 5 dollars stop making it a big deal, I told him my coworkers didn’t take 5 out my card without my authorization you guys did he was like listen miss you making this a huge deal for nothing and said he’s going to send my money back with delivery guy, I told him sir I need the money back on my bank account is going to be over draft, he rudely asked for my card number I gave it to him and before allowing me to have an extra word he hung up, half an hour later still waiting for my refund, not only customer service is horrible and the abusive way they over charge your card my french toast are all burned. Will never ever order from Brendel’s again, and will make sure all my coworkers and everyone I know, knows they are just horrible. worst customer service in Westbury. Didn’t want to give it 1 star.

Went here this morning and ordered 3 egg whites with home fries…$ 8.64! Really? I order the same breakfast in Manhattan every day by my job and I pay $ 5 and change. They really need to lower their prices b/c there was nothing special about the eggs and home fries. Plus you would think they give you napkins with the order, nope none in the bag. Glad I don’t work or live on Long Island.

I had a friend recommend this place. I ordered the brendel special panini with roast beef. It was excellent. I really enjoyed this panini. It came with one side and I chose the Mac salad which was average. The service was quick and friendly. The restaurant had plenty of seating and it’s in a plaza with plenty of parking. Really enjoyed the panini and will definitely return!

I’m not giving this place 1 star for their food, but because of their service. I’ve had Brendel’s deliver to me twice. Each time a pleasant experience and good food. I work alone in the morning for 4 hours, and if I’m unable to grab something to eat beforehand, I like to get my food delivered to me. I called up this location, and after holding for awhile had a man tell me to call Huntington because it’s closer.(It’s actually farther). When I called Huntington they told me they couldn’t deliver to me because it’s out of their boundary. The man in Huntington was very nice and apologized for the inconvenience. So I called Westbury again to have the man once again tell me to call Huntington after I held AGAIN. I explained to him that I just called and they will not deliver to me. He asked me what I wanted, and seemed to be bothered by the fact I was even ordering from them. After my order he tells me I need a 10 $ minimum, which is totally understandable yet I never had anyone tell me this before? And they’ve delivered to me twice with under 10 $. I just feel my business was not wanted or needed. I’ll find somewhere else to go that won’t be such a bother to the employees.

The bagels here are awesome. But the customer service quickly makes this place unenjoyable. There is always mass confusion among the workers if the store is slightly crowded, and it is so expensive for what it is. One time my credit card was charged for $ 413 instead of $ 13, and I was issued a refund of course but the cashier wasn’t the least bit apologetic. Such a shame that the bagels and food are good but the service is crappy.

What’s not to like about this place? I seriously don’t get all the negative reviews. I mean, it’s a deli, not a 5 star Michelin restaurant, people. It’s big and has plenty of seating. The workers were nice enough and did their job competently. They’ve got a wide variety of options, and gives you big portions. Their prices are dirt cheap but they’ve kept the quality of their produce fresh, and I honestly left feeling like I got a great deal, especially compared to Manhattan prices where I’m given half of what they gave me for double the price I paid here. In fact, their portion size was so huge that I even asked them to give me extra paper plates to share with my girls because I couldn’t finish it, which they did graciously. They’ve got plenty of parking available, taking away any stress on that end. AND! It’s a perfect place to take refuge and rest after a long day of shopping at Century 21, that’s just a mere few steps away. Solid 5 in my book.

To start on a positive note; this is a clean, well-stocked deli & bagel shop with a wide variety of appealing offerings on display. HOWEVER the real reason for me driving here is for the bagels. They are«okay». Not bad, but not great… just«okay». They do offer a nice selection, and even have what appear to be fresh baked croissants. But this being a bagel shop in NEWYORK, the bagels themselves fall a little flat. I can’t explain exactly why, and I’ve gone there a few times, but to me they taste just a notch above supermarket bagels. A bit too«bready» if that makes any sense. But still & all it’s a decent place and the staff is friendly & fast.

First time I came here. Probably can’t make a fair assessment of the place, but from what I gather I think this place is OK. I took out a dozen bagels and some cold cuts. The layout of the place I think is nice, looks like time and money was spent in this place compared to the bagel places I’m use to. they have a few tv’s and a decent seating area. Cold cuts are cold cuts, so not much to say about them. Bagels were ok. The everything bagels were fresh when we got them because they were still warm and soft. but my salt bagel wasn’t so fresh(it was kinda tough).

This place is ok. I mean the food isn’t too bad but it’s a tad on the expensive side. The line Is long and the place gets crowded. You need to barrel through people to get to the cashier to pay. I think they need a better system to order and pick up your food. It’s in a convent location to run and grab something to eat but they are slow.

If you have dietary preferences, allergies or like customer service done well, this place is not for you. I had asked if there was meat or other animal products in the food I was ordering and they laughed and said no. Needless to say as soon as I got home there was a piece of chicken in the salad. The ‘manager’ laughed when I told him my complaint over the phone and said it was an accident and it happens. When I went in they were not friendly at all and gave me a hard time. I’m sorry that I refuse to pay for something that I can’t eat. This place is not worth the money.

Every employee that works here has an attitude… It’s been this way everytime I come here! The food isn’t that great and sometimes the salads(tuna, chicken salad) does not look fresh & has a crusty film on top. I bought«fresh Strawberries» today and they had a sour taste to them. The cream cheese bagels are slopped with a pound of cream cheese. Because it’s close by I continue to return here. Too bad there aren’t more bagel places in the area otherwise I probably wouldn’t ever come back.

Everything here is overpriced. I could look past it if the food was especially amazing but it’s not. Just another Deli. Go to B & G’s down the block(Carman Ave). The prices are better and you get more food!

As much as I loved the other Brendel’s out in Suffolk, this one fell a bit flat for me. My Veggie Tuna tasted«old» as if was made a day or two ago. It was like eating leftovers. The Bagel itself was fresh. My carrot side salad was fair. Wifey tried a Zack Attack panini and she griped about it being«overcooked» As with the other Brendel’s locations they do have an extensive menu and I have not sampled everything. But this outfit just isn’t as good as the Hauppauge one.
