When I noticed that there were no reviews for this particular location of Yogurt & Such I felt that it was my duty as an Elite Unilocaler to scout the place out. This café is located in the back of Taco Joe’s and it’s clearly been overlooked. While I grab lunch from Taco Joe’s all the time I never really checked out their menu to see what they were offering. I assumed it was just desserts and frozen yogurt. I was tempted to just eat at Taco Joe’s again since I was already there and just grab a frozen yogurt at the Café but I decided to give their food as chance as well. Here’s the rundown of that they have; frozen yogurt(obviously) in 8 flavors and most of them are gluten free, wraps & pitas, salads, soup, shakes, veggie burgers, and healthy platters. Overall the food served is health conscious and the menu mentions they offer several lower calorie options and all their condiments are low fat and low cholestorol, they use only light or fat free dressings. They also offer no sugar added yogurts. I asked them what brand of deli meat do they use in their wraps they told me that they only use Boars Head which makes me happy because that’s the only deli meat I’ll eat. They also offer choose two menu where you can choose half a salad or pita and combine it with a soup or frozen yogurt for $ 7.95 Sounds great but the big question is «Does it taste good?» Drumroll please… and the verdict is: Yep, it sure does! Yogurt & Such does a good job of putting together a tasty low calorie lunch that you don’t have to feel guilty about eating. I ordered a half a chicken caesar pita and chocolate mousse froyo combo. When they say they serve generous portions they mean it. The guy at the counter made a little too much and it wouldn’t fit inside so he added it on the side for me at no cost. They used the same chicken as they use at Taco Joe’s, romaine lettuce, shredded parmesean, mushrooms, croutons and caesar dressing. The pita they put it in was either over-toasted or slightly stale. It just wasn’t as soft as I was expecting it to be so minus one star for that. If I ever get this again I will definitely pass on the croutons next time because after the ingredients are all chopped up and mixed with the dressing they get soggy anyway. I’d imagine that salads are awesome here they have a nice salad bar with a good variety of items. The dressing they used was also very flavorful even if it was low fat. As you can see by my photos my frozen yogurt was full to the brim. This is not the kind of yogurt you want to leave sitting. If it starts melting the container will be difficult to open without creating a giant mess. You should either eat it there or don’t get it to go unless you have a freezer to put it into right away. The chocolate mousse was almost as creamy as soft serve ice cream but had that added icy consistency that you get from froyo. A small container was plenty. I don’t think anyone should overdo it with getting a larger size unless they plan to share, or are just gluttonous. My total was about $ 9 for a bite for lunch as well as a treat on the side. Overall I think that’s a pretty good deal.
