The food was really good. I had the shrimp and grits and they were made to perfection. I shared the Thai style calamari with my husband and we both loved it. Service was a bit slow but they seemed to be short staffed and our waitress was very nice!

It was very busy for dinner on Mother’s Day, but all of our dishes were Delicious! And $ 20 lobster dinners every Sunday until summer is an Awesome deal! I’d never had roast lobster before, but I loved the way it was infused with herb flavor.

Came for Valentines Day dinner and was pleasantly surprised! We ordered a bottle of champagne with dinner. I got a cup of clam chowder and my boyfriend got the little neck app. His was delish, however I would skip the chowder next time, as it was thin and lacked clams. For dinner, I got the shrimp Cobb which I really enjoyed and my boyfriend got the stuffed lobster special, and he loved it. We ate so much that I actually asked if we could wait a little before ordering dessert so I could make room! For dessert we got the warm cookie sundae and it was soooooo good. Overall, the service was good, food was some of the best I’ve had in a while. My only advice is pass on the chowder! Will be returning :)

Well 12 people in the place. Got a drink which was fine. Tried the chowder came out Luke warm, come on. 2 couples kindly send there undercooked food back. Yikes seafood, no thanks. Maybe a quick drink but pretty much a real big dud. Pretty inside but needs to hammer the summer folks on price or they are ob. No way this place makes it.

Just completed our New Year ritual of walking the beach and needed a new place to eat. Unilocaling seafood in the Westerly RI area led us to the Sea Goose. Our wonderful experience started when the hostess went to seat us and offered us the choice of sitting at the bar as they were doing happy hour specials, this was to save us a bit of money, very considerate! Our server Joe was phenomenal friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous! He made sure that everything we ordered came to us hot and fresh and that we were happy with everything, and we were! To start we had some drinks, and the eggnog martini my wife, and the dark and stormy for me were made perfectly! The food was incredible! The raw oysters were perfect, nicely cleaned and a great variety. The salads we had were nicely done, fresh mozzarella and crusted goat cheese. The entrees were just has fabulous, a seafood stew in a saffron broth for me and a vegetarian acorn squash meal for my wife. Bottom line, while the meal was a tad pricey, I feel that between the atmosphere, the service, the food, and the drinks we got everything that we paid for and then some! We are definitely going to make this our regular stop!

After a long fishing charter for blackfish me and 3 other buddies wanted to grab a bite before heading back to nyc. We all agreed to seafood found this place and it was god send. We had a waiter so sweet and accommodating she not only help with suggestions on food and drinks; I even asked for ice in a bag for our fish we caught. She got us 2 bags of ice. The oysters were amazing that she recommended, everything was on point the staff was also surprisingly attentive, the food was very good and we ate desert and killed that too. I am leaving the review a few days late and I have forgotten the name of our server. If we ever fish near by we will definelty stop by for some lobster rolls again. Keep up the great work it’s a joy to dine in a pleasant environment with good food.

I’m a big fan of this place. I think the food is fantastic, atmosphere is great and service is impeccable. Drinks are creative, generous and delicious. Food consistently above-par and I’ve yet to be disappointed in anything I’ve ordered(been here numerous times). Go to the Sea Goose… You won’t be disappointed!

Crappy tourist place… can’t believe it is run by the same people who also own the Cooked Goose down by Watch Hill. Prices are as high as any restaurant in the area… looked like stuff was slapped together… the use of an ice cream scoop for the Jasmine Rice(as in boiled white rice… bland as a piece of paper) was the best… dried, sauceless flounder, green beans so underdone they were still sprouting. Flounder Grenobleoise…$ 28 for a tiny piece of fish… I had two… count them… two capers… The Pasta Parmegiana was overcooked pasta topped with a piece of chicken and someone sprinkled the top with a handful of red pepper flakes… it was so hot it was unedible. I can’t imagine how so much food was left on our plates that the owners don’t see it and ask themselves…“hmmm…was something perhaps amiss?”…we didn’t ask for asnything to go Sevice was spotty… never saw the waiter after he took our order… had to ask another server for our check… the dining room is a glorified porch, hot, stuffy… totally lacking in any ambiance… after my bland caesar salad my fork was ceremoniously removed from the dish and placed next to my knife… with the dressing soiling the table… class. .if you are going to charge $ 28…or more for scallops… and act like a first class restaurant… maybe you shouldnt try to over work the staff by stuffing so many people in that the you can’t pay any attention to the food and service… terrible experience. My bill was in excess of $ 170 with the tip for three of us. I saw the same people at Cooked Goose for breakfast… maybe we’re a bit burned out?

Ate here once and had the sea scallop special entrée. It was delicious & I was very pleased with my meal. The fresh hot bread they serve is amazing too! The other guests at my table were happy with their entrees as well. I don’t think the price was right. It was over priced for a restaurant that served food with paper napkins. The staff was nice but our waiter was kind of weird. Don’t think it was a good value.

Hands down, the best sea food I have had in my life. Great food with great service. Best fish and chips ever. The fish was so tender, it melted as soon as I put it in my mouth. The lobster roll with salad was a good portion and delicious too. Our server Angela was great and knowledgeable. Highly recommended this joint if planning a trip to the Westerly Beaches.

Amazing dinner on a Tuesday night. Started with oysters and little neck clams, followed by steamers. Perfection from the raw bar. Then split the seafood stew with its rich broth, and had linguini with clams and flounder cooked magically. Had crème brûlée and a chocolate pie to die for… Need reservations since this is one hopping place. The waitstaff was professional and helpful. A fabulous meal!

7 people(3 of which were children) enjoyed a wonderful dinner out on the patio at Sea Goose yesterday. I had read some sketchy reviews which made me write this to say we had an excellent meal. Drinks were superb, inventive as were our meals(calamari, chick pea salad, wings, steaks, and fish dishes). Oh and the key lime pie was delish. Service was very good and attentive, I would definitely suggest this restaurant. As an aside we went to cooked goose this morning for breakfast and equally as good!

Not sure what’s going on at this restaurant but the quality of food is seriously on a downwards slope. My friends and family love that there is an upscale restaurant that is not going to kill your wallet but this summer all I have experienced with myself and friends is complaints. They are supposed to be famous for their watermelon spicy margarita but it is so sweet it’s impossible to finish… The spicy calamari is really good but it’s so mixed in with those crunch rice strings that it’s impossible to find the calamari. Please for goodness sakes change your lobster bisque recipe!!! It’s way too smokey and has a really weird aftertaste. The raw bar is good. The oysters are great! But the shrimp were stringy. Sandwiches especially the chicken one needs some work pretty bland in flavor. Swordfish! Why? Needs to be reworked! Bland and super fishy about to turn bad fishy. Staff is awesome though! Positive and really helpful! The only thing that has been consent is the wonderful staff. The owners need to tear themselves away from cooked goose and spend more time on Sea Goose!

Friday, July 3 of the holiday weekend. Needed a restaurant at the last minute and there weren’t many options. Not sure if I’d do the Goose again. In some ways they were very accommodating — gave us a fried whole belly clams as an appetizer even though it was only on the menu as an entrée. But the clams weren’t that crispy and had a little fishy taste to them — neither of which is what you’re after with fried clams. My nice of piece of swordfish was grilled to medium well — which I should have sent back but didn’t. We had a bowl of clam chowder which was actually good, but warm, not hot. One person had filet mignon and fried oysters — he didn’t like the steak at all, and it was a tiny little piece of meat. The third person had the lobster boil, which at $ 25 was a pretty good deal. And the bread that came early was excellent. Nothing was good enough to make me want to go back, although it was passable.

Service was a bit slow to start, but meal definitely made up for it! My son had bakesd struffed lobster and thoroughly enjoyed. Asian Calamari for app is perfect. I had the tuna special and ate every bite. Awesome place in the busy RI beach season!

Food was great– service was outstanding. Went with 4 young kids and 2 adults to celebrate my daughters birthday. Kids menu had a good variety with nice portions and the french fries were fantastic! Adults had delicious oysters– super fresh! Both of our entrees were so tasty! I told our server we were celebrating a birthday. In the dessert he brought out a candle and sang nicely to her, making her feel very special– but then also comped the dessert which I thought was very generous. This was my 2nd time there and I will gladly go back!

In RI for a stay at Burlingame State Park. Must say I was surprised how good the food was. Service was friendly the fried calamari was among the best I’ve ever had. Enjoyed the sangria cocktail and hubby’s fish was fresh and well prepared. Don’t hesitate to give this establishment a try. There’s s screened porch for nice weather.

Holy cow… worst chowder ever! It was all cream! I mean really there was maybe two ¼ inch pieces of potato and 3 clams! Please see pictures as I can’t even begin to describe how incredibly lame this chowder is! So incredibly appalled! You will never survive Sea Goose! Oh and the Lobster Salad salad I ordered was just entered into computer as green salad… which wouldn’t have been a huge deal if I wasn’t ordering take out! Got home… excited for dinner and… surprise! Not only does your chowder absolutely suck and may be worth about 50 cents but your lobster salad is just a salad. So long Sea Goose! You are dead to me everyone I know will hear about this extremely disappointing experience.

Fresh delicious local seafood at reasonable prices with great service in a casual atmosphere. Exactly what we were looking for. We’re pretty picky when it comes to food and the most important thing about good seafood is freshness and cooking it well. They nailed it. We had: Raw oysters Clam Chowder Clam fritters Fried oyster appetizer Fried clam appetizer Seafood stew Lobster boil/clam bake Sautéed Spinach side Key lime pie Muscadet wine Albariño wine Sauvignon blanc Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked except for the clam fritters which we could have done without. The oysters were so fresh and still brimming with sea water from their locales. The fried oysters were some of the best I’ve had. Lobster boil was so fresh and not overlooked. Spinach side was perfect and $ 3! My husband said the chowder was excellent but could have had more clams. Key lime hit the spot. Good wine selection for food. Don’t understand those negative reviews of people who cone here ordering meat; it’s a seafood joint. Service was very friendly and helpful. When I dropped my last oyster the waitress brought me another(no charge of course). Very happy we found this place and will come back.
