Established in 2009.

The Device Shop (originally coined Fix My iPhone) began in 2009 as a side project. First operating out of a one-​bedroom apartment in Brooklyn then expanding into a two-​bedroom on the Upper East Side. Those were the days when only the iPhone 3G was available! Memories…

Our business has grown substantially since then with our HQ in the middle of Times Square and six smaller offices around New York City and one in the Jersey suberb of Westfield, serving the surrounding areas.

We are happy and proud to serve the people of NYC and New Jersey and it’s many visitors!

Matt graduated from the University of Central Florida in December of ’08 and shortly thereafter moved to New York City. As a freelance web developer, Matt saw a market and joined forces with Chivas to start The Device Shop and never looked back!

If I could give these guys six stars and a hug I would. The Apple Store in Short Hills flippantly shrugged their shoulders and told me it was a three DAY wait to get an appointment and even then no promises. These guys? Calm and empathetic, said «no problem, come by now, can fix it in 20 minutes.» And they were half the price apple would have charged me. I don’t care if I voided the warranty because I will NEVER go back to apple for help again. A cute little store to wait in too. Can’t thank them enough!!!

I don’t have insurance on my IPhone 6s, I dropped my phone and shatters the screen, a friend told me about this shop, worked out perfect, walked in, 15 minutes later, had a new screen, I got home and realized something wasn’t right, went back next day, they fixed it, as good as new. They give you a 1 year warranty on screen.

I shattered my iPhone 6 screen about a week ago and tonight I stopped in The Device Shop, within 25 minutes my phone was perfect. I stopped in The Device Shop tonight around 6:25 to drop my phone off, I than ran across the street to get some amazing pizza, then I came back and relaxed for 5 – 10 minutes. I also purchased the $ 20 tempered glass that they apply for you (TOTALLY WORTH IT) & an amazing Kate Spade phone case for $ 35. I quickly checked Amazon and other retailers such as Best Buy to see if $ 35 was expensive for the case, and other places were charging $ 45-​$ 55 for the same exact case. I even got a $ 5 coupon when I entered my email on their website! The owners are the sweetest people and they are new to the New Jersey area, I wish them the absolute best with the business & I recommend them over any of the high priced places in the mall & you don’t have to drive down the parkway!

Visited the shop today after a friend recommended it to me. Very helpful employees. The price to fix my broken screen on a iPhone 5s was the lowest I had been quoted. I was in and out in about half an hour & my phone looks brand new. Very pleased, will be back if I encounter further phone issues.

Fast, simple, convenient. Walked in this afternoon to get my Samsung Galaxy s5 screen replaced and two hours later it was fixed. On time for a reasonable price. It will be covered by Square trade so what more could I want? The man behind the counter was nice and easy going. Highly recommend because at least there is plenty to do (and or eat) in Westfield while you wait.

Stay away from this business at all costs. I called to inquire about fixing an I Pod Nano. The person I spoke to said that it couldn’t be fixed but told me they would sell me a new one and help me transfer my music to it. I made an appointment for Sunday, 5⁄15 and clearly stated that this is why I was coming in. When I got there the person told me that the only person who could help me was not there and they had no I Pods to sell.

Awesome service — fast, easy to get in to, and get it fixed right!
I booked an appointment online before opening, although I didn’t really need one. They were able to work on my screen replacement for my work phone right away
The shop décor is so nice and super comfortable to wait in. We had good conversation while I was there, and they even worked out a slow running 2nd phone for me.
I definitely would recommend them!

I’m writing this review on my fully repaired iPhone! My phone went swimming with sharks in Belize and Matt brought it back to life! Matt called me 3 times with updates throughout the day before doing any additional work. The place is professional, quick, reasonably priced, and most importantly effective. Amazing customer service. I would highly recommend this place for all broken phone issues. I hope I never have to come back but if something goes wrong with my phone, I will absolutely be back. Thank you so much guys!

This place is fantastic. The guy that helped us was super friendly and super helpful. We dropped off an iPhone and the guy said he’ll look at and give us a call. We went next door to get a smoothie and went home. When we pulled in the driveway, the guy called and said we can pick up the phone because all it needed was a new battery. Superman speed and the price was really good.

Stopped in over the weekend for some battery issues on my Samsung and they could not have been nicer or more patient in helping me diagnosis the issue.
What a nice little shop and the two folks running the place are super sweet.
Thanks for working on my phone just long enough that I was able to suck down a brew next door.

I forget the guy’s name up in the front but he did a great job. Had water damage and he was able to fix the iPhone to working condition. The Apple Store as well as another «iPhone fix up» store were unable to get it working. And the price was very good.

I can strongly recommend this company if your iPad is in trouble. The charger pin broke off in my iPad when it was knocked off the table. I took it to Apple, they couldn’t get the broken part out and advised they don’t repair iPads. I tried myself — bought needle nose pliers, with no success, the piece just kept breaking up. The Device Shop was able to remove it, their back up plan was to replace the charging port. I was very much relieved as I had not backed up the iPad as recently as I should have.
When I researched companies to go to, I could see they had a lot of experience with iPads and iPhones, I didn’t want to go to just anyone, especially after Apple couldn’t figure it out.

On Monday my phone decided it’d no longer take a charge and completely died. I thought it was a goner.
As fate would have it I was in Starbucks Tuesday morning downtown and saw a card for The Device Shop on the counter just laying there. I went home, went to their website and saw they just opened in Westfield. Perfect!
I used my daughters phone to call the number when Matt answered. He said it sounded like a battery or a charge port and suggested I bring it in to take a look at. I brought it right over and Matt worked on it on the spot while talking to us. Turns out he’s the owner of the company and has just moved out here!
30 minutes later and for only $ 60 my phone was on again all my data was still there!
I’m so relieved I have my phone fixed and I didn’t have to leave Westfield! Will recommend to EVERYONE. They do iPads and computers too!
