The 1962 Keith Hall graduating class held our third annual reunion brunch at the Westford Regency today. The affair was awesome from start to finish. The Hildreth Room was beautifully decorated with white table linens and mirrored center pieces with votive candles. Hillary and her staff do an excellent job in making sure all our creature comforts are met. The made to order omelets, carving station and an array of numerous breakfast and lunch items too numerous to mention are five stars. A wonderful time was had by all thanks to our wait staff person Bob who catered to our every whim which is no easy feat when you are dealing with 22 females! We will continue to make the Westford Regency our restaurant of choice when we book our next event.

We haven’t eaten brunch out in a while, so before the«brunch crowd» arrived, we headed here at about 10. Part of the Westford Regency Hotel, the place was fairly empty. Instead of having the«grande» brunch for probably $ 19 per person, we opted for a subset, which included custom omelets, various breads and rolls, juice, waffles, home fries, bacon, seafood crepes, salad, fruits, coffee, scrambled eggs, and sausage, for about $ 10/person. Was a good deal. The waiter was attentive, filling up coffee, bringing very crispy bacon(my husband likes it crisp), bringing whole wheat toast and cream cheese(I don’t eat butter), cleaning our tables, checking up, and ordering us a fresh, right-off-the-waffle-maker waffle(we chased down the whipped cream, strawberries, and maple syrup). My omelet had onions, pepper, mushrooms and cheese, and my husband’s had everything. The home fries were greasy and not«homefry-like,» as they were basically buttery baked potatoes with peppers and onions. Everything was fresh and hot, as it should be. The larger-scale brunch, which we have eaten before, had a whole table of desserts, including a chocolate fountain, cookies, every luscious cake imaginable, fruit for dipping, petit fours. There were roast beef and pork carvers, a section of fish, including lox, etc. Was tempting, but happy we went with the mini version of the brunch. Am sure we’ll be back. It just won’t be tomorrow. 3.5 stars. Will bump to 4 because an excellent pianist played the whole time during our meal, and included in her repertoire some of my favorite songs, including some great Whitney Houston tunes.

Located inside the Westford Regency, I had been told a while back that this was a really good spot for Sunday brunch. Well…it’s expensive… and not quite worth the dough you’re paying for it. First off, when we got there, it was dead. I had anticipated a line… a large dining area… long buffet tables… but no, none of the above. They do have an omelet station which is probably the only highlight of the place. Don’t misinterpret… the food isn’t awful, but sheesh, for $ 20 a head, you want to see some kickass brunch with hungry diners clambering to get in… but no. Actually, this was two days before St Patrick’s Day, so they did have corned beef and cabbage,(Boiled Dinner), on the buffet and that was actually pretty good too. An abnormally large table of desserts and a chocolate fountain, while sounding great in theory, in practice all of these desserts looked like plastic demos of what a good dessert should look like. I didn’t go for dessert. Most of the other dishes *might* have been good had there been a quick turnover rate and fresh batches brought out. The lack of «mouth-traffic» left this brunch as a disappointment at best. Maybe if they charged about $ 10 a place… it might be a place worth stopping to get your *nom* on some average, but cheap, eats. $ 20…c’mon now. So two stars… b/c: Meh. I’ve experienced better.
