I had an incredible experience at the N. R Barber Shop. I did not have an appointment but luckily I walked in at an off-​peak time so I was helped right away. Sunny and Mohummed were extremely warm and friendly and I couldn’t have felt more welcome walking into a new place for the first time.
Sunny cut my hair and did an amazing job. She took the time to understand the style I was looking for and checked in with me often to make sure everything was to my liking. Sunny spent 40 minutes on me and it was obvious how much she cared for her craft and her clients.
I have been looking for a place like this for years and will definitely make this my new regular spot.

The ‘DYANMIC DUO’ of MOHAMMAD & SUNNY are simply the BEST at what they do – they are expert barbers and passionate about their trade – I have been going to Mohammed for over a year now – and I always get the nicest compliments about his work! Last year I grew my beard for ‘NO SHAVE NOVEMBER’ in honor of my late sister who passed away from cancer. I went to see Sunny who gave me a FIRST CLASS shave in December – steamer, hot towels, and straight edge.
It was the FINEST shave I ever experienced. If you are new to the area – or want to make a change –this is the place. Seriously, I would give them 10 STARS if it were possible.

Sany gave me seriously the best haircut of my life. I got a medium fade and she made sure the blending was perfect. I just got out of the navy, so I’m used to getting faded haircuts, but the difference between what Sany did and what I’m used to was night and day. She took me from submarine sailor to LA cool – with pretty much the same haircut. Will be a regular here.

Quick and easy. Mohammed trimmed my mess of a beard perfectly. Friendly & courteous. A+

I had a chance to talk to Sunny the day before. I explained what I was looking for and she added her own comments. She called the cut military style which I agreed. The next day I showed up and she was there welcoming me for my first appointment. She is very professional and she knows what she is doing. She took her time to make sure that I get the details I asked for. Thank you Sunny for such great cut.

Best barber shop in town, hands down. I have been a customer since the first day they opened and will continue as long as I have hair :)

I can’t say enough good things about Muhammad’s service and demonstration of skill. I walked in no appointment (not polite) but I had been wanting a hair cut and asked if they could squeeze me in. No problem I was seated in a minute and the hair cut took about 20 minutes but it was very pleasant and affordable I got my hair washed and styled as well. A very positive experience will be back.

Never been to the same local barber shop twice in the Agoura/​Westlake area. I’m very particular about the way my hair is cut; but, more importantly, that the end result is exactly what I expressed I wanted.
Sunny did an EXCELLENT job for me yesterday. She took her time to ensure she knew exactly what I was looking for. Instead of getting that understanding and working to completion, she sought feedback throughout the cut to ensure she was giving me the cut i wanted.
After years of transience, I know who will cut my hair next time!

I would love to review this business’ skill and ability to cut hair. Unfortunately, I was never given the chance. Let me set up the scene: I walk into the store at 1813, one barber (older and balding) is giving a customer a shave. Another barber (beard and moustache) is cutting hair, and there is one person waiting. I am thinking they should be able to get me in no problem. After all, the person waiting will be seen by one barber and with 45 minutes until closing, the second barber will be able to finish his current client and get to me.
*Sigh*
Unfortunately, the moment I walk in, both barbers start hemming and hawing. «Uhhh, we’re closed. Ummm, can you get him?» «Sure, but I have to finish this and the get this guy waiting, it will take about 43 minutes,» says the balding barber. «Uhhh, do you want to wait? Do you want to come back tomorrow? Oh wait, I don’t know Sunny’s schedule.» Blah, blah, blah.
Needless to say I left a little disgusted. If you guys [barbers] don’t want to work, then just say so instead of the pointless back and forth. If you want to get your haircut here be sure to make an appointment since it doesn’t appear they take walk-​ins.

Sunny is fantastic! She takes great care every time she cuts my hair. I have recommended her to a buddy and he is thrilled to. It is easy to make an appointment and they stay on schedule fairly well. This is a great place.

I’ve been here twice. It took me a long time to come back because I have been so busy managing a couple different businesses that I usually ignore my hair. Finally, finally decided I needed to treat myself to a good haircut and came back. I was pretty happy w/​the first cut even though I asked for a weird fade (like 1 to a 2 or something).
Second cut was done very well. I have had several barbers and due to my head shape, look, hair qualities etc most of them end up leaving me with very short hair on the sides and a slick back hair style up top (think semi-​military, semi hip hop or even gang banger type). Either that or they leave too much hair on the sides near the top and it reminds me of why I dropped that round-​head middle school look =l And that’s why I leave those places.
Fade on the second cut was done well. It was a ¹⁄₁₂ to a 2 or 1 to a 1 ¹⁄₁₂ not sure but Sunny took her time. I’ve only received a fade better than this one at one other shop. She even remembered I had not come back many months ago and I explained. She also took her time and was careful in trimming the top of my head. It didn’t end up looking like that look I really dislike.
What’s most impressive is that my hair was pretty much a mess. It had been 9 – 10 wks or more since my last cut and normally I need one every 3 wks. It was not cheap at $ 30 but she washed my hair and did the razor neck thing. Its 2x the price of a standard cheap cut but she definitely took more 2x the time and care.
I haven’t written a review in yrs bc I’m so busy but Sunny deserved one. I’ll be going back and I think she will do well if I ask for a more squarish look up top – just a little tweak to change it up. Hey, us guys have very limited options: D

You know, it’s not the name of the business or where it’s located. It has everything to do with exceptional people.

I’ve been here more than a handful of times now and Sunny’s work is always perfect. She is incredibly detail-​oriented. Always able to cut how I describe, and offers great suggestions as well. I’ve seen a whole range in ages in here — great for kids, etc. I’d definitely suggest making an appointment.
Haircut is clipper only, which I’m fine with (some people ‘need’ scissors?) And she does a strait razor at the end which is cool. All around an awesome barber shop that puts places like super cuts and sport clips to shame.

I have visited this place 5 times and had my expectations exceeded every time that I have walked out. Each cut has been a little different depending on what I request, and it really shows that the stylists/​barbers here listen to what you ask for. This not a generic chain, it is a positive experience.
2 cuts from Ty, and 3 cuts from Sunny. Each one ensuring that this is a barbershop I can continue to look forward to visiting.

Now, I am very very very picky about how my haircut needs to be and if someone messes up my haircut once then I will never go back. Now I was one of those people that went to supercuts forever because it was a good deal for a good cut, but I wanted to try somewhere new and explore new options.
So I randomly looked up barbers on Unilocal my work in Thousand Oaks, and I found North Ranch Barber shop, has great reviews, sounds like they care about their customers. So I drove there after work, and walked in and first saw Sunny, I think she owns the place. She welcomed me to her shop, and She asked me if I had an appointment and I told her I did not, and she said that’s okay, she told me she recommended that I make an appointment the next time because she gets booked up fast, so she asked me to have a seat and she will take care of me soon, I didn’t mind waiting.
Now while I was waiting, There was 2 customers getting their haircut, I believe the other employee’s name was Mohammed, now as they were getting haircuts, I noticed how detailed they are at giving haircuts, a haircut session takes about 30 – 45 minutes, they make sure the haircut has no flaws, and that it’s the way u really want it, I also saw they use a barbers razor blade to cut around and behind the ear and at the back of the neck, I was impressed, and I really wanted to get my haircut, then they also washed your hair before and after your haircut.
After Sunny finished her client, she called me up, asked me if I had gel in my hair, I told her yes, she said let’s wash your hair, then she asked me what kind of haircut I would like, now, I am terrible at describing what kind of hair cut I want anywhere I go, so I have her a general idea and I told her to surprise me, during the hair cut me and sunny were conversing, and she is a very sweet lady, after she finished my haircut she washed my hair again, which is awesome, because if u get a shampoo at any other place, other places charge to shampoo, and this place does not charge extra, I love that. I love my hair cut, she did a lot of detail, I will be going here from now on to get my hair cuts. The hair cut is only $ 25 :)

Just had a hair cut with sunny. She is incredibly talented ‚… Takes her time and delivers a thorough job. Pricing is absolutely fair and the place is fake less and clean. Def recommend this place to fam and friends. Kambiz

I finally had to put my «wife knows best» hat on to find my husband a new shop for his haircut because both he and I were tired of my laughing at his cut everytime he came home from other places. I did my research and thanks to Unilocal’s helpful and honest reviews, I steered him to Sunny. She is as advertised… Detail-​oriented! She also listened to what he wanted and offered recommendations and modifications to better suit his style and hairtype. The result was delicious! Seriously, i wanted to eat him up, then and there.
Best of all, my frugal husband had no gripes about the $ 25 price.
The ONLY reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because It was all clipper work. My husband’s not so frugal wife is spoiled by the $ 50 cut she splurged on for him that was completed with shears only! If they are as good as my friend is, it makes for a damn sexy haircut.
Still a great job nonetheless. Myself, my husband and my husband’s wallet appreciate and recommend your services.

The barbers know what they are doing and pay super close attention to details. I’m very impress with the outcome.
The atmosphere is casual and easy going. The place is a bit small but doesn’t feel cramped at all.

If your looking for a place where the Barber actually loves his/​her job and cares about his/​her work this is the place. I’ve gotten my haircut here 3 times, every time it had been perfect.
Haircut, shampoo, straight edge neck shave (gets so close) all for $ 25. Don’t waste your money by going somewhere else!
