Slice of the 80’s

Gotta give them 5 stars. Slice of the 80s never disappoints.

EDIT: Added a star because somebody from Slice messaged me, and I figured that shows they’re concerned about customer service.
I have ordered from here a few times. It’s decent, can’t complain. The cheese bread is yummy and a better value than the pizza, which is a little bit overpriced for me. What I don’t really like is how their Facebook page blasts bad Unilocal reviews (hope I’m not next!). Some were mean. Makes me wonder how the rest of their customer service might be.

This place is awesome!!! Great pizza, amazing wings and delicious cheese bread. Me and my wife are in love with the Honey garlic wings, we like to get the sauce in the side. I like going in and seeing all of the 80s memorabilia and hearing the 80s music. Definitely go to this place.

Seriously best pizza around and the wings are top notch. My #1 recommendation is NACHO BREAD!!!

Tried this for the first time today. Staff was friendly and the service was quick. Not really a fan of the crust (a little too thin and doughy) but the rest impressed. We’ll definitely be ordering from here again.

We stopped in on Halloween before our party and received service with a smile at Slice of the 80s! Thanks Becca for taking our order so quickly. We ordered our favorites the Kickin Chicken, the 85′ with Greek Salad! They were served hot and tasted delicious!

Buffalo chicken pizza is amazing! I can barely take the spiciness, but it’s worth it! :)

Good pizza, great wings.

We decided to try this place out the other night. I really wanted some pizza, and wanted to try something new. We had Benny’s before, so that was out, and this place has some great reviews. We were not disappointed!
First of all, they get bonus points for having online ordering! Yes I’m that person, I will call in an order if I have to, but if you have online ordering or an app, you probably win my business over the place that doesn’t have that option.
We ordered a large pizza with pepperoni, onion, & green onion on half, mushrooms on the other half. We also got the garlic crust. Their pizza is what we call «fork pizza», it is VERY greasy so you need a fork to eat it (unless of course you don’t care about getting grease all over your hands). This does not make the pizza bad though, it was delicious! Seriously, if you like mushrooms, get them… Best mushrooms I’ve ever had on a pizza!
We also ordered the cheese bread. It’s mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheeses. That was also delicious! If you’re a ranch person, they have great ranch, not the crappy packet ranch some places have.
Delivery time was good, the site told me it would be 45 minutes but it was more like a half hour.
Pricing was right in line with other places, I didn’t think it was too expensive.
Over all, we loved it! Will definitely be ordering from here regularly!

Pizza is great! Good value for the price & delivery doesn’t take long. The wings are alright as well; however, I’m a salad lover, and that’s where they lost a star. The Greek did not arrive with peppers and the olives are plain-​old, black, sliced olives – pizza place olives. It was pretty much ice berg lettuce, covered in beets. Stick to pizza.

5 stars for pizza! The pizza has everything I look for– excellent service, fast, great quality — the sauce is good not sweet and doesn’t have a cheap tomato paste taste; yummy cheesy goodness, fresh yummy toppings and good ratio of toppings to cheese/​crust– a bit pricy $ 15 for medium 4 topping
0 stars for wings with sweet sassy BBQ— yuck so yuck so gross. They aren’t slightly breaded. They are breaded. They were too big and so soggy mushy… The breading just crumbled off the wings. I tried to bake hem to fix the problem… Nope. We threw them out.
0 stars bread. Plain flavorless basically pizza crust with weird Parmesan …
We also had mozzarella sticks and they are your basic store bought sticks.
We would definitely try the pizza again, but skip all sides.

AVERAGE PIZZA AT BEST. Expensive.
There are far better tasting pizzas out there for a far better price.

I’m upping my previous review by a star. Five stars for a carry out pizza joint? Yup, you bet. Consistently good pizza, wide variety of toppings and specialty pizza (see previous review and note: kickin chicken). But what really puts them over the top and bumps it up a notch for me is the quality of the service. So friendly, order is never wrong (you would think this goes without saying, but you wouldn’t believe how many places don’t get this part right). And I have to give a shout out for their generosity. I was working with a non-​profit group hosting a human-​trafficking awareness event and asked if they would make a donation as we were looking to have refreshments and they happily supplied bread sticks and pizza. Way to support your community! And that’s why they are getting an extra star!

We ordered from here while I was at a friend’s house for a game night, so my experience is totally on the delivery and food, not in the restaurant.
The pizza we had was amazing, crust, sauce and toppings were all top notch. Pizza was delivered about 15 minutes faster than they quoted.
We also had wings, which were better than you get at most pizza places, but not as good as what you’d get at a wing joint.
I had never even heard of this place before last weekend, now I want to find a reason to be in Westland again just to try another pie.
And of course, the name is a great reminder of growing up in the 80’s. Made me smile.
Online ordering through an app made it quick and easy, with no errors as well.

Pizza was very greasy. The crust tasted like it was from Pillsbury. Worst yet, I got stomach cramps and you know the rest … I cannot recommend this pizza place.

I ordered a small 85, which is basically a deluxe pizza at most places. The ingredients were fresh and it was a great tasting pizza. The crust was kind of chewy, wish it would of been a bit more done. I will definitely give them another try…

Good pizza. Great wings!!! A little pricey… which is why I only gave it 4 stars.
But the food is awesome. The pizza is some of my favorite in the area. And the wings cant be beat. So give it a try!!!

The pizza is absolutely fantastic! My favorite pickup/​delivery spot for pizza. It’s extremely difficult to eat any other pizza after having Slice of the 80s. I tried it based on reviews and I was pleasantly surprised that everything was spot on! The pizza is always fresh, hot and delicious! The cheese is so yummy! I rate this place as the second best pizza that I’ve ever tasted (only second to Buddy’s). Anytime I’m in the area my mouth waters for this pizza. Surprisingly I’ve never tried any of the sides but I’ve heard that they are amazing as well. Once I try those I’ll update my review. Until then, try this pizza! You will not regret it!

Tonight was my third time having 80s, but my first time ordering for pick-​up. They said it would take 20 min and I got there in about 30, so I know my food was ready. Really awesome décor. I debated buying a button as I stood there and waited for someone to acknowledge me… there were at least 6 or 7 people behind the counter, all busy working but at least half of them looked up at me as soon as I came in, and continued to glance at me as they worked and no one said hello, I’ll be right with you, or Welcome to Slice Of The 80s. I finally had to stare down one particular guy and lock eyes with him before he hopped over and asked if I was being helped. Not great customer service… maybe I caught them during an off night because the other 2 times I ordered delivery and even tonight when I made the pick-​up order, they’re very polite over the phone. Eh.
Pizza is decent. Tasty, not exciting. For the price, you aren’t getting much better than anything else in Westland. The nacho cheese crust is new and different, though. Doesn’t reheat well, which 90% of pizza buyers will do with at least 1 – 2 slices, so that sucks. I came in tonight for the traditional, spicy breaded wings. First, they are NOT spicy… at all. But the flavor they do have, is actually pretty good. Probably the best wing option from a pizza place, in this area at least. Ranch is great too, tastes homemade and I’m a ranch snob. So overall, good enough pizza but a tad pricey for the quality… you can get Benitos for the same price or slightly cheaper and they taste better, imo. Good wings. Hopefully next time I catch them, they’ll have learned to say Hello.

The worst thing about this place is that it is over 30 minutes away from where I live. We have been here a handful of times, but if it was closer, we would be getting delivery from here all the time.
This is one of the coolest little pizza places I have ever been to, with 80’s paraphernalia all over the place. The people there are so cool and extremely active on the social networks. When we do make it out to Slice of the 80’s, we sit at one of the few tables they provide in the store. We usually get something to drink at the liquor store next door and then enjoy a piping hot pizza and cheese bread.
This place is probably a better carryout than eat in place, but if you decide to go, make sure to take a moment to appreciate all the 80s nostalgia. Just writing this review is making me hungry!
