Toys R Us

I recently visited this store to purchase a gift for my cousins kid, since I wanted to actually see what he was asking for versus ordering it online. When I got there, I was slightly overwhelmed, but who isn’t right? And I have kids! But I usually shop for toys in other places, because this Toys R Us is a bit out of the way for me. I got what I needed for my cousins little boy and decided I would look for a few things for my little humans for Christmas.
I was unable to locate the Disney T.V. show items after walking up and down the Disney Aisle. I asked a young man where those items would be and he wandered up and down the aisles I was just in stating that he ‘just saw them’ and began frantically pacing the aisles looking for them. In the process, knocking over a row of Disney Princess dolls onto the floor and leaving them sitting there, still looking all over for what I asked for. To my dismay, he couldn’t find them… so I carried on my search for other items and to my surprise, there was an ENTIRE Disney Jr. Aisle! Filled with all the fun things from all the shows on that channel. Perfect! I was shocked the gentleman didn’t know this aisle existed, since it is probably one of the hottest aisles in the store (while I was in it, the crowds were consistent). After getting the items my kid asked Santa for, I found the salesperson in another aisle, I mentioned to him there was an entire aisle with all of that merchandise and he replied ‘oh, that’s right!‘
I totally understand not knowing everything in the store, especially if you are seasonal help, but to not know where Disney stuff is, is crazy.
So I get the items home, wait for Christmas and give my kid the stuff. To which his 3 year old self says, ‘oooo, Santa brought it for me?!?’ and then tosses it to the side. I know he got a lot of toys from everyone, so one more thing was just lost in the sea… but the next day he told me I could give the toy to his brother, which meant he didn’t want it.
So, back to Toys R Us I went. It was a few days after Christmas and expecting it to be a mad house, I wanted to just get in and out to return this item. There were a few people ahead of me in line and I was astounded to the swiftness of the line. I waited maybe 3 minutes and was helped. The woman running the customer service counter was extremely efficient! While I was in line, I was talking on the phone with my husband and when I got to the front of the line, I told him I would call him back when I was done. The woman, checked my ID, ran the return and gave me my receipt. I was shocked, in and out in 7 minutes, tops. I called the hubs back when I was leaving and he was shocked it was so quick as well.
I wish I would have gotten her name, because she was good.
Maybe the salespeople are somewhat inept, just resign yourself to wander the store for the items on your list, but know customer service is top notch!

It’s a Toys R Us. Clean enough and ample parking. But on a busy Sunday, only 2 checkouts, one of them customer service, open? Maybe that is the marketing ploy. While waiting in line with 2 tiny nephews I got suckered into buying Skylander trading cards and a star wars m&m dispenser. But that’s what Aunts are for I suppose.

Love shopping for kids at Toys r Us employees are like my person shoppers. Helping me find everything I need so much appreciated!

Clean, well-​organized, and well-​lit, this TRU has great customer service!

I bought a Wii accessory for my children here this afternoon. I returned the product this evening when it didn’t work correctly. The staff was quick, courteous, and extremely helpful in assisting me in getting the right accessory.
