In addition you can choose from the traditional Beans & Rice OR substitute Seasoned Potatos on any Burrito. We have no freezers or microwaves (For Real) and EVERYTHING is made from scratch fresh daily. We serve also serve our delicious Breakfast Burritos all day!

Big City Burrito was started right here in Colorado! The original location opened in Fort Collins in 1994 and a legend was born! In 2006 I had the opportunity to open 3 franchise locations in Aurora, Westminster & Thornton Colorado after falling in love with the food while in College. I grew up in Northern Colorado and heard stories about this amazing burrito place in Fort Collins. After years of hearing the stories, I found myself driving to the legendary location to see what all the raving fans were galking about. I had to see if this place was worthy of all the hype. That day was the first day of my Burrito Bliss. Several years later I had the opportunity to bring Big City Burrito to the Denver-​Metro area and did just that! My review is purely on service not food
Today I walked in for a breakfast burritto which is wonderful. It took the staff of 5 about 15 minutes to make it however. One man was sitting in his office doing nothing the whole time I waited for the very slow maybe stoned girl to finally top my burritto. I was the only person waiting! The other 4 employees pretended to look busy as I waited and waited and waited… Just make sure you have the whole hour to spend for lunch or you might want to go elsewhere!

Love this burrito joint. Consistent and absolutely delicious. My favorite burrito: regular jalapeño cheddar tortilla, fried potatoes, grilled onions (AMAZING, sweet, hot off the grill), chile verde, jalapeño pico de gallo, strawberry habanero sauce, and a little bit of ranch to cool it off. This place never disappoints. Love the buy one get one free coupons that occasionally show up in the local Thornton mailings.

The lunch burritos are average, but the breakfast burritos are superb. Crispy potatoes, sausage, medium/​corn pico, and their spicy/​chipotle ranch = satisfaction. I prefer this location as they serve breakfast all day and they build your burrito with heavy portions. Good value. The crew here is also friendly and manage to keep up during the busy high school lunch rush. I can’t go long without stopping in.

Usually really like this place, but the manager was in a bad mood today. I have in the past got the smaller breakfast burritos in the flavored tortillas. Usually they just cut them in half, but today they refused so I voted with my wallet. Focus on service there are a lot of other choices and soon to me more.

What a great place to get a filling yet unique meal. I got the momma mole local favorite. Wow packed with flavor. I enjoyed the different textures in the burrito not typical for example potatoes. It helped with the spice of the jalapeño tortilla. First time trying big city burrito definitely will be coming back. Great food friendly staff couldn’t ask for a better experience. Great menu variety from burritos to tacos also quesadillas which are loaded with as much as the burritos. Definitely want to come back!

Big City Burrito is a change from other burritos places. It has different menu choices that are sure to make you say yum after your first bite and all throughout your entire meal. I had the Lenys smoking sirloin and it was indeed a different and tasty meal option. The burritos are large and fully packed with good, fresh and tasty ingredients. I also had 2 churros that were $ 1.50 and were packed with sweet cinnamon sugar. Check in on the Unilocal app on your phone and get a free 21 ounce drink!

First time at this burrito place & I’m in love! Meats were tasty, service was good even with a brand new employee. Loved the option for potatoes in the burrito and flavored tortillas were a nice touch. Came in around 12:30 and no wait, Definitely would come again!

Staff has always been friendly, happy to be there. Breakfast burrito is ah-​mazing. Seriously if you want an awesome breakfast burrito this is the place to go. I usually order basic breakfast burrito and get a couple of salsas on the side to try to find out what I like. I’ve also branched out and have tried the different tortillas flavors.

I want to start by saying that, in general I am a fan of Big City Burrito. I like that they have a varitiey of meats, tortillas, salsas and the option for potatoes instead of just beans and rice. Huge opportunity here to be creative with your meal. Not just the plain, lame choices you get at Chipotle or Qdoba.
I have visited this particular location a number of times in the last few months, and today, I really felt compelled to write a review. Not about the food, but about the staff. I think the folks working here are awesome. I have yet to deal with someone that isn’t friendly. The staff takes the time to explain the ordering process to newbies, even when dealing with the high school lunch rush. They give you just what you want, and don’t skim on the portions. They even rembember the orders of the «regulars» that stop in, without having to ask. I think that this quality of service is often missing in «fast» food. These people do a great job of making the customer feel like they matter!
My only complaint… The cleanlieness of the dining area leaves something to be desired, especially after the high school lunch rush. They could probably use someone during high demand hours that does nothing but, or focuses a lot of attention to cleaning tables and sweeping. Would certainly help with the over-​all apeal of the establishment.

I like burritos… A lot… And I’d like to like Big City Burrito, but they make it tough. Staff has some attitude, seating area was FILTHY, and the burritos were ok but overpriced. (Over $ 10 for a smallish quick serve burrito and a soda.)

Salsa to me is the most important part of the burrito. I love hot and spicy and they have a great variety. The burritos are so fresh tasting, and I love the choices of tortilla. It is in a great location with good parking. You never leave feeling hungry. I will be back.

This place is no fancy gourmet Latino cusine. That said, it is delicious, fast, friendly and efficient. The food issolidly good and reliable: you know what you’re going to get. There are a fair number of vegetarian and a few gluten free options (vegetarian potato burritos are ridiculously tasty!). There are items in a variety of price ranges, and a great frequent eater program that is tracked via your phone number. Parking is almost always available and except at a few super crowded times, you can usually get your food pretty quickly. Folks working there are incredibly friendly and happy to help customize anything for you.

I would have at one time given BCB a 5 star rating, but no longer. How can a burrito place on a Friday night be out of Rice? Over the past few weeks they have been out of beans, cheese and now rice. If they have food it tastes great. You can roll the dice if you want or find someplace else that is guaranteed to have food.
Regarding my previous review, I have been back about a half a dozen times. I would say that overall things have gotten better. I am still hesitant to give more than 3 stars as there have been a couple of times that items were low, mainly the beans. When it is stocked the food is great. For that reason I am going to move from a 2 star review to 3 stars.
I’m editing this review as I have gone back several times in the past couple of months and service and food have been excellent. It appears that any previous issues have been taken care of.

Our family loves Big City Burrito! It’s healthy and fast. You can pick from a burrito or a bowl. They also serve a breakfast burrito that is fabulous! Their seasoned potatoes make this so yummy. I am also a fan of their bay leaf chicken… Delicious! You can choose from a few different tortillas and whether you want beef or chicken. Then you add rice and beans. I love their salsa variety!
The service is always great and very quick. I wish there were more around town.

I stumbled upon this Big City Burrito location earlier today, as I was pretty burned out on Chipotle this week, and was scouring the area looking for something new after hitting Super Walmart. Looks like there’s three different locations in the area, and I’ll definitely be back.
I noticed right off that Big City had seasoned potatoes as a filling option, something I hadn’t seen in a really long time, other than at Taco Bell.
I went with the regular sized Chicken Mole with potatoes, black beans, sour cream, monterey jack, and hot salsa. Great flavor, and the staff members were right on.
TIP: Check out some of the Customer Favorites, as the filling combinations are truly unique.

HORRIBLE FOOD!
Not only was it cold but they gave my husband and I 2 burritos that had no meat just the Chili Verde juice! The worst food I’ve ever had!!! When we complained they offered us some coupons, what the hell am I going to do with coupons? I’m never coming back!

Stopped in for a breakfast burrito.
I tried the 5280 and holy smokes was it spicy. The flavor was good but a little spicier than I had anticipated. It seemed a little over priced considering you can get a decent breakfast burrito for $ 2 and this thing came in at over $ 7.50 but at the same time it’s twice the size.
Love their lunch burritos but I’ll probably pass on the breakfast burriots in the future.

So, the first thing I want to rave about is how awesome the staff is for helping my kids’ school with a spirit night fundraiser. Everyone from line staff to cashiers had buttons on promoting our spirit night, and signage up to boot. Excellent customer service, and the line staff welcomed me to the shop, thanked me for coming to the school’s fundraiser, and explained the ordering process since I’d never been to Big City before.
The line operates similar to Chipotle with a few cool differences. You aren’t limited to flour or wheat tortillas; they also have pesto and tomato wraps. You also can choose a 10 or 12 inch tortilla. Many more meat/​non-​meat options, including all-​day breakfast burritos! HUGE portions; hubby’s 12-​inch breakfast burrito was the size of a baby and very good (he said). I had a chicken mole burrito on wheat, and I really liked it!
$ 20 covered the four of us: three burritos and a quesadilla kid’s meal. That’s a little less than Chipotle,
What I wasn’t crazy about was the rice — I like the cilantro-​y goodness of Chipotle’s rice, and this was more of a tomato/​Spanish rice concoction. Also, the shop seemed small and cramped, but it was also very busy, so that may have simply been perception not fact.
This location is a little out of our way, but we have a BCB close to our house, so we’ll give that shop a try soon!
