I’d like to give this place a 5 stars so far but I’ve only been here once so far and like to give it more time. On the recommendations of my two aunts, my mother took me here for laser hair removal. It was my first time so of course I was extremely clueless and nervous about the procedures and everything. When we arrived to the second floor waiting room in the laser department, it was completely empty except for the smiling staff woman. There was a mistake with scheduling, the phone receptionist had mistaken my appointment for the next day. The fact that it was so quickly fixed, 2 minutes max, was a big relief. There a was some quick paper filing on my part as my mom and the receptionist fell into conversation about my aunts and their previous visits here. The room itself was comfortable and pretty, with elegant chairs and little Victorian inspired décor. I’m sure there were some flowers, perhaps a small fountain too but I didn’t get much time to check it out as I was soon escorted to the back. I wasn’t dressed appropriately for the laser, ignorant first timer and all, so I was given a paper shirt/gown to change into as well as a quick informative lesson about attire and proper procedures for future visits. I could tell the staff woman was trying to speak more English for my benefit. It was more of a mixed Vietnamese-English thing but I appreciate the effort; luckily I can understand and speak Vietnamese. More importantly though I really liked her friendliness and patience with me, even if I was slowing down the procedure. After putting on the gown, she padded with with extra paper so nothing I was wearing would get dirty as she applied an anesthetic cream on me. I was left to wait in the office as the cream set. Luckily the office was clean, cool, and had a couple of magazines places on a nearby counter. The doctor was actually a bit late, I believe she was with another patient earlier. She burst in a bit rushed and messy, giving me a brief hello and continued to sort her stuff. I was a bit putt off by it but soon the kind receptionist from earlier came back in to help as an assistant. When we finally started the receptionist, now nurse/assistant, held my hand and kept talking to calm and distract me over the pain. I was given addition numbing in the form of ice packs in between the procedure on doctor’s orders, just so I’d feel the pain less. It may have been my first and only time so far, but I feel that the service was pretty speedy and very considerate. My aunts are absolute fans and I can see why. Friendly and efficient, and from my aunts’ testimonies their treatments are working well so far. I still have quite a bit more sessions to go to before I see much results. Much thanks to the receptionist who comforted me throughout the whole session. Parking: While it’s a bit small and narrow, it’s an appropriate size based on the number of clients on any given day. There’s also a row of large leafy trees that provide great shade for your car in back lot.

I just wanted to respond to Daniel’s review: If you were in serious pain, you should have gone to the ER. It’s not a walk-in clinic but appointment only. Anyway, I’ve visited numerous medical facilities in different states, and they will always have to verify that your card is valid; that’s just the nature of our health care system. What I like about this place — they have on-site x-ray technicians and the results are immediate. I found out that I had fractured my spine in the lumbar region, and my doctor gave me a sample(FREEMEDS!) to help ease my pain. No pharm visit necessary.

1.5 stars. I’m sure the physicians at this medical center are fully qualified for their job. But there are so many reasons why I would not go to this place if I had a strong choice. Whenever you go to a doctors office, unless you speak Vietnamese, you do NOT receive attention for at least 20 minutes. It’s horribly disgusting, considering I was in pain when I came in. Furthermore, I was lucky that one of the nurses and desk secretaries spoke English at all. Most of the signs are in Vietnamese, so English friendly? I don’t think so. I had to have my insurance verified, EVENTHOUGH it was clear on my card that it was currently valid. It took another 20 minutes to complete that process as well. When I finally got to see a doctor, I thought she was very professional. I didn’t catch her name, but I found her to be quite a pleasure and very attentive. However, I can’t say the same for a past physician I had at this same area. I was getting a physical, and we were discussing sex and I informed her I am gay. She then went on a long diatribe about STDs and such, and then concluded her lecture with the question«Does this make you reconsider your preferences and lifestyle?» That question disgusted me to a complete new level. But moving on, down to the pharmacy. The women working here are completely useless. I give them my prescription. They take 45 minutes to complete it, and then I went to go pay for it. I held my card in their faces for 20 seconds before they realized anything and took it. They then went to swipe it, stopped halfway to have a 5 minute conversation, and then came back to have me sign the receipt. I then had to ASK them for my card back. My opinion? I don’t have a thing against Vietnamese physicians; however, I highly advise you go to a different physician’s office. Maybe Dr. Dao’s office in Westminster as well. He’s a good and very well acclaimed doctor. I plan to switch my insurance back to his name as my physician.
