what to order: 1lb of shrimp Cajun style… SIKE. Boba and tea, duh tip: be prepared to wait! lines can get long and they don’t make drinks very fast I came here on a Friday night with two of my girlfriends and there was a line of about 10 people… It took WAYTOO long to get our drinks. I didn’t think the drinks here were any thing special. It tasted just like any other boba place. And like I said, I was unimpressed with how long it took to get our drinks.

This place is the only that I was going to for boba drink. And this is my thought from last few times I visited: We have a nicer staff which is more understanding customers orders and more smile on the faces(except the girl!). But the drink quality is not as good as before. I could understand for better staff, better work, but for most important, its a drink shop and the drink is the first in quality. So I took a signature milk tea, which is I feel like drinking water with a little sugar(below average quality!). It must be nice if you and your staff can make a little more drink on every cup, share it out to your on staff to try, you’ll surprise on how the drink quality is(too bad!). Please take more care of the drink, or you will lose more customers.

I was receiving a Medicine Buddha empowerment from the Dalai Lama at a Westminster Buddhist temple, and while the privilege of the occasion was and is unforgettable, I was feeling parched and dehydrated at its conclusion. Dingtea empowered the rest of my evening. I enjoyed a lovely passionfruit milk tea with golden boba which restored my body as much as the Medicine Buddha nourished my consciousness. Highly recommended!

I love the golden boba that I can only find at Dingtea. It is a little bit more sweet than the original boba, and the texture is also quite different. I’m a fan! The Oloong Milk Tea is not up to my expectation but the boba keeps me coming back! I might have to try other milk teas to find my better choice here Cons: they don’t accept credit card under $ 5 and there price is also a little bit higher than average!

I usually get their signature milk tea or jasmine milk tea, 30% sweet. I tried their Hokkaido milk tea before and I prefer their signature milk tea more. I tried their sea cream jasmine before and it was good too. I get that 50% sweet.

Very quaint little boba shop! I haven’t had a bad drink here yet. Their drinks are just the right amount of sweetness, and they don’t overdo it on any of the syrups. I usually go for the matcha milk tea, signature, or a a yakult green tea. This is weird, but I’m most impressed by their quality straws! Friendly service, but not too much indoor seating.

A good place to stop by and pick up a drink :) Dingtea Bolsa has lots of different flavors tea, and some flavors that not every boba place will have. I tried the Lychee Green Tea with Golden Boba, and I LOVE it. The last time I had Lychee Green Tea was two years ago, from a boba place in Australia(that I don’t remember the name). I couldn’t taste any Lychee flavor, and it was so sweet, so I didn’t have Lychee Green Tea for so long. I decided to give it a try again at this place, and surprisingly it turned out 10 times better! The sweetness is just right, I could taste both Green Tea and Lychee flavors at the same time. Golden Boba is one of the special things about this place, it was soft, and chewy, perfect with the drink. It’s a small place, but cute :). I like how they decorate a section of the wall with some photos(photos are always the best decorations ^.^). The staffs seem nice and friendly. Location: In the same plaza with Eiswelt Gelato. I will definitely come back again when i’m in the area :)

I got to admit, the Hokkaido milk tea isn’t comparable to Boiling Point’s and doesn’t even have a «hokkaido» taste to it. It needs some working on. Couldn’t taste any caramel or toffee-like flavor that Hokkaido milk tea is known for… but there’s another reason I’m a fan. The yogurt/yakult drinks are the star of the menu and it’s really hard to find tea places that have actual yogurt drinks. SO for all you yogurt-lovers… this is your spot. The yogurt drinks are almost kinda frothy because of how they make it… mixing yogurt and juice into a nice consistency. I recommend getting the yogurt drink with starfruit jelly. There’s also tons of flavors like strawberry, mango, lychee, grape, and more. I tried looking up how they make it, but their website is in Chinese… so I’ll definitely be back. The drinks are pretty cheap because even with the $ 5 card minimum, my small drinks don’t reach the $ 5 limit o_o This is why I end up getting two for myself lol.

Another day, another tea house! Whatever it takes to get us through the day, right? Some drink coffee daily, I do boba tea. Nuff said! This small boba shop is located in the heart of Little Saigon, so drive carefully and be patient when it comes to parking(especially during the weekends). As for what to get: SIGNATUREMILKTEA($ 3.05) is your best bet! ALL teas are brewed and kept warm in a dispenser. A good balance of tea, milk and sugar. Classic drink that hits the spot for boba lovers like me. Great with boba or grass jelly and/or egg pudding. 5 stars! *Jasmine Green milk tea is pretty good, but tea flavors are a bit weak. Opt for less ice. 4.5 stars. 4 star drinks: *Lychee milk tea($ 3.05): I recommend getting this with mixed jelly since it complements the drink well. Lychee concentrate with a very mild milk tea. A bit bland. Decent, but I prefer a bolder taste. *Kumquat lemon ice tea($ 3.05): quite refreshing with a medley of citrus flavors. It had a hint of salt plum, which I generally would welcome, but in this case, I’d opt out next time. Yummy with coconut jelly! 3 star drink: *Hokkaido oolong milk tea(toffee candy; $ 3.25): the roasted aroma of the black tea with toffee flavors didn’t mesh well for me. Sweet, with a hint of smokiness and a creamier consistency. I don’t know, I wasn’t satisfied(too heavy, possibly??) and wished I got my signature milk tea instead. TIDBITS: 1)Add Ons: $ 0.50 each *Golden boba: pretty good consistency, texture and chewiness. Has a hint of sweetness. *Mixed jelly and coconut jelly… good! 2) Adjustable sweetness and ICE amount(½ ice for me). Pretty cool. Upgrade to large for $ 0.50. 3) $ 5 minimum for credit card 4) Stamp card available. Ask for it, sadly they don’t automatically offer it. However, if you forgot to get a stamp, bring your receipt and they usually honor it. 5) Service is ok. You’re kinda on your own if you don’t know what to order. Overall, decent prices, flexible options and above average drinks! I’d say, Dingtea is a keeper!!!

Dingtea was utterly disappointing. Their«grand opening» banner was up and the line was out the door so we thought why not? Dingtea Bolsa is the first US location for this Taiwanese tea house. Interesting location for a Taiwanese boba spot in the heart of Westminster. Jasmine Green Milk Tea w/Egg Pudding — Extremely bland JMT. The tea didn’t taste like it was brewed enough as the drink tasted watered down. That being said, the flavor of Jasmine definitely didn’t come through so what I really got was an extremely bland cup of milk tea. The egg pudding wasn’t sweet and didn’t have much of an egg flavor. It was almost like a flavorless pudding. I wasn’t completely upset as it was the second stop(Eiswelt Gelato is in the same plaza) and we stumbled onto it by accident. I was displeased at the fact that I wasted my weekly boba treat on this place. Some friendly advice: Steer clear of this place.

My go-to spot for boba in OC was closed so we checked out this place for refreshments after Disneyland around 11:15PM. Even though they close at midnight, their boba was still chewy and not that gross mush you get at boba places right before they close. I really liked the Oolong Milk Tea! You can really taste the Oolong mix in there/not too sweet and the perfect ‘milky-ness.‘ Prices are fair for boba. Clean interior and quick service. Would definitely come back if in the area.

Yum! Authentic Taiwanese boba with very fresh tea and boba. The golden boba was unique, but delicious. I wouldn’t say there’s anything particularly outstanding about Dingtea, but that they do what they do well. Plenty of options and seating, and they are quick with making the drinks.

During my recent trip down to the OC, I Unilocaled for new milk tea places and stumped upon Ding Tea. We ended up coming right after dinner. It wasn’t too crowded and there were 1 – 2 people who ordered ahead of us. There were three people working but only one of the workers were making the drinks. This made the wait pretty slow. Their menu isn’t too extensive and there’s not much you can order if you’re not in the mood for caffeine. A lot of other milk tea places offer ice milk drinks or fresh taro milk but they didn’t have anything like that. They did have yogurt based drinks but they are flavored with syrups and who really wants that? I had a lemon juice with aloe vera. I realized they didn’t ask how much sugar or ice level I preferred until after I ordered. Luckily, the drink wasn’t too sweet but the drink was a bit too icy. Ken L had a green milk tea which was decent too. However, we probably won’t be back due to the amount of time we spent waiting for our drinks and the lack of anything really special on their menu. Note: $ 5 minimum for credit card

Located within one of the many busy business plazas in Westminster, this place is clean and cute. They offer a good variety of drink flavors with plentiful options and add ons. Drinks are tasty and come out after a good while but they’re worth the wait. Great place to study, search the net, first dates and meet up with friends. The staff is helpful and don’t hesitate to navigate you through the ordering process and gladly make recommendations. There is a $ 5 minimum purchase for using that fantastic plastic. I’m learning quickly that when you live in a heavily operated Asian community cash is king.

This place is super cute! Next to one of my favorite restaurants. Started my order asking the girl who took it, suggestions on pairings for Matcha Milk Tea. She suggested: Egg Pudding or the signature Golden Boba(specialty). I loved that she had an immediate suggestion. Usually places don’t really guide you on their signature stand outs. Started my order at 9:15p. There was a little line right after me. Was excited that this place was getting some action. Usually new places that aren’t IG or FB savvy do well. So this little gem is a plus’ The aesthetics of the shop is not quite eye pleasing. It’s not at all terrible but the AstroTurf wall and modular art wouldn’t have been my first choice. Black seating(probably easier for cleaning). The place is boarding hipster/Asian mall/Korean pop-esque theme. Negative: Counter space is small. And the call out booth has no place to even pound a straw down. So it’s here’s your straw and here’s your drink. Positives: my drink was done in 6 minutes(9:21p). Overall this place is amazing and its the new New!!! So try it out!

Arrived at 1.49pm on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon and I saw reviews raving about the wonderful and delicious«golden boba». What is golden boba? It sounds fantastic and amazing and something brand new! I shall totally try it! Me: Can i get a signature milk tea with GOLDEN boba? –Sorry we don’t have any right now. Me: hmmm okay maybe your regular boba is decent too, lewls. Can I get it with regular boba? –Sorry. Um. We don’t have any of the boba right now. So you’re telling me in the middle of the day you don’t have any boba. Not the speciality boba, that’s fine. But not even regular boba? Um. okay. Sure. Fine. Get me aloe vera then cuz it’s healthier sigh. Their signature milk tea is on the plus side; it tastes like *gasp* milk tea and is actually pretty delicious haha. The aloe vera, I guess, tastes like aloe vera(all placed in sugar) and it’s one of those drinks where you’re like«Wait is there chocolate in here. You’ve got to be tricking me» :P They’re not! You can adjust sweetness and ice level as well to your desires. There are also a few tables there that you can sit in and make yourself king/queen! But srs. 2pm no boba… especially if you’re known for golden boba o-o

Arrived here at 11am on a Saturday. We were the only ones in the tea shop. Place can only handle 16 people total. Very small shop with plenty of parking at 11am. They seem to have a ton of chains all over the world such as Vietnam, China, and Taiwan. I ordered the lychee tea and the Hokkaido tea. Lychee had egg pudding and Hokkaido had boba. For 50 cents, you can upgrade to the large. Each topping, such as egg pudding and boba would be 50 cents each. The drinks were ok. You need to spend at least $ 5 to use credit card here. My lychee herbal tea was ok. Very sweet but no lychee bits in it. I like the lychee pulp that places like roasting water gives. The Hokkaido tea was ok. Had this somewhat bitterness to it as an after taste. Overall, I’d just give it 3 stars since it wasn’t anything extraordinary. My favorite boba place I still almond house because it’s cheaper and doesn’t contain any milk. This place also didn’t offer me any samples which I wish they did. Both drinks would be 3 out of 5 for me, and I drink lots of boba drinks.

This review is only for their Hokkaido milk tea. Now, I love the Hokkaido milk tea from boiling point so I figured I’d give theirs a try. I liked how their menu allows you to order level of sweetness and ice. But for the Hokkaido milk tea, it’s already sweetened. Their milk teas are premade, as you can see from the jugs behind the counter. And sadly, the Hokkaido was disappointing. It tasted nothing like boiling points, but tasted like a coffee milk tea. Not sure if there is suppose to be coffee in it, but I don’t recommend it. Maybe try their other drinks?!

Hello, my name is Lana and I am addicted to Ding Tea’s signature milk tea with their delicious egg pudding. Before Ding Tea existed in my world, I would usually crave boba drinks here and there, but after having Ding Tea, it’s a total different addiction. The here and there cravings are now, everyday and every time I would go, I leave ordering an extra drink with no ice for the next day, no joke. I’m addicted and the only solution is more signature milk tea!!! The quality of the drinks here are really fresh! You can actually taste the freshness and strong flavor of the tea in every sip. The egg pudding(which is my absolute favorite thing here) is also really fresh and is the best egg pudding I’ve ever had in my life. I would highly recommend their signature milk tea. The customer service here is also very good. I love how they are really patient with you if it is your first time and would explain to you their different type of drinks. They do offer a stamp card, so make sure you request for one when you order! The only thing I wish I could change is the size of the facility. The inside is really small, consisting of only 3 large tables, and a couple of small tables. I’ve never had problems having a spot available but I could see that being a problem if they get busy. oh yeah! Credit Cards accepted if its $ 5+

Update review… So the first time I went, it was when they were super new. I hadn’t been back since then until tonight. I came through with the crew Nguyen N., Lasty K. and Huy(who needs to make a Unilocal account too). We all picked up their hokkaido milk tea and just chilled out there for a good minute. The service was nice, but there is a 5 dollar minimum for using your card. The table are still a bit limited but the atmosphere was nice actually. The hokkaido milk tea tasted pretty good, actually much better than the first time I had it though they did put too much ice in it. It was pretty quick service in my books. Parking was a breeze and everyone seemed to really like the drinks. The vibe was super chill. They do offer stamp cards so remember to get one. Drinks aren’t that pricey either as I think you get a good bang for your buck. Overall, I do see improvement from my prior visit. They are definitely quicker and the drink tastes a lot better. They have all the items on the menu this time as oppose to last time. PS They have hokkaido coffee too? intrigued I am PPS shoutouts to my two Unilocal padawans…
