Love Eric and his family! They’ve been taking great care of our son’s bass for years. We made the mistake of renting/​buying from another well-​known local music business. Eric’s service, prices, and honesty above all make this the only place to take your strings.

There are two buildings to this business. One is dedicated to string instruments. The other building is a small music venue seating 18 people. It’s a converted house that has great acoustics! Every Monday night from 7 – 11, Brad
Goode, famous for his trumpet playing, has an open jazz jam session. He brings his students from CU and everyone is invited. One night I was there and a vibe player and a bass trombone player came. It’s straight ahead jazz and the best kept secret in the Denver area! Soft drinks and snacks are sold. It’s $ 5 for 4 hours of music

I recently visited Mi Vida on a recommendation from a friend who is a violin instructor. I went in search of a rental violin for my 6^th grader. I did some comparison shopping between the other popular music stores in the area, and though Mi Vida has a slightly higher monthly rental rate, I felt that their instruments were much higher quality and in better condition than what the other places were offering. Also, the owner, Eric, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all of my questions and assured me that he would stand behind the instruments he rented. He performs all repairs in house, and includes free string replacement, bow re-​hairing, and any other support my daughter would need while learning and playing this beautiful instrument. He set us up with a brand new rosin, shoulder rest, hard case, and made sure the violin was perfectly tuned before we left the store. The rental terms were explained in plain English, and setting up the rental contract was as simple as swiping my credit card. No fine print or signing my life away. I highly recommend Mi Vida, whether you are looking to rent or buy, or have a string instrument that needs repair or restoration.
