Established in 2007.

I got started because I get bored doing the same thing all the time. I was a house painter, drywaller, gutter installer, etc. So I started my Michael’s Handyman Service and I have never been bored. Every time the phone rings I look forward to what the request will be. I love it when it’s something I have never done. Because I enjoy learning new skills.

My work days go so fast because I enjoy what I’m doing. Also I get to meet new people who turn out to be great friends and customers. I get most of my work from repeat business or word of mouth.

I had clogged my toilet with paper and after I could not fix it by plunging I started to call around for prices. Even though I told each service person the exact issue, plumbers would not give me a set price as they had to come out and see first. (cmon! You do this all day long and can’t give me the price??? One plumber did give me a price of $ 144. My guess is he just didn’t want to do it because $ 144 is outrageous by any standard.
I called Michael and he priced it over the phone at a very fair $ 45. He also fit me in to his schedule same day. He came over, and in 4 minutes was fixed.
I will use him again if I need handy work

I am very pleased and satisfied with the work Michael has recently performed in my home. I called him for an estimate to remove a metal chimney box and chimney pipe from the vaulted ceiling in my living room and patch the ceiling with drywall. He arrived promptly and examined the project as it is more complicated than it first appears. He went into the attic to survey the chimney pipe and determine the best way to remove it as well as the chimney box. He quoted me a price that was half the cost of another estimate, where the handyman arrived 40 minutes late and only looked at the chimney box from the living room for no longer than 2 minutes. Michael is highly professional and friendly, and I felt comfortable with him working in my home. And he did such a great job, it is impossible to tell where he cut and patched the ceiling! I was lucky to have found him and am recommending him to my family and friends and anyone else who needs a GREAT HANDYMAN AT A GREAT PRICE!

Asked Michael for an estimate for several projects around my house. He said he would get back to me with the estimate… Never heard from him again… Called and emailed him several times. Never got an answer or a call back. I am not in the habit of begging for an estimate. There other businessmen out there that are more reliable.

Wow, Michael is amazing! We have never had a good handyman experience before, and I was nervous about hiring someone as we are getting ready to put our home on the market. I emailed a few companies to start out, and Michael contacted me within 30 minutes, before 7 a.m., while I was on the bus on the way to work. There was never a lack of communication – either Michael responding to emails, or asking me clarifying questions. Oh, and did I mention that he was on time on the days that we used him? Absolutely stellar!
In terms of our projects, we had a motley list: finish a deck (past bad contractor experience), fix a leaky shower, install a threshold between tile and carpet, replace interior and exterior lights, install new weatherstripping, rehang doors, fix a rail… Every single one of these items Michael did perfectly, and he was so professional. There is no doubt that we have found our permanent handyman relationship!
