Worst service ever. Food come out slow, missing order, no customer service. If i can give it zero star i would.

First off, I understand that they’re not primarily a vegetarian restaurant and so that wouldn’t be their specialty. That being said, if you’re not able to make it «good», then don’t make it at all. They served us the worst vegetarian food I’ve ever had. Like I said, I understand that they’re not primarily a vegetarian restaurant, but it just shows that they’d rather make a quick buck and sacrifice taste. Their phở is nothing to write home about either, unless you like writing home about shitty food.

I always end up getting the bo né with garlic sauce when I go here. Definitely would recommend if you want some steak. It comes with an egg, salad, and either bread or rice. The garlic sauce that it comes with is delicious.

Beautiful inside. Accepts credit cards. High quality ingredients. I called and asked one time if they make their own broth from bones and they said yes. Watch out for homeless people in the front at night. The servers are viet style: quick and they don’t check you as often as Americans. Occasionally you get someone who doesn’t know what he is doing. But if you raise your hand and ask for things they will be sure to get you stuff. Also: they serve beer until like 9 or 10!

Love the bo né from here! It comes out sizzling on a plate with sunny side up eggs and served with a side salad and a huge loaf of bread. I ask for pâté on top and the garlic sauce on the side to dip my bread in. So decadent but so good. Sad that Sweet Tea Lounge closed but you can get the same bo né here, just no sea cream jasmine tea :(

If you’re looking for a good phở spot on Bolsa, I’d recommend Thang Long. The interior is CLEAN and modern. I cannot stand a dirty phở restaurant. There’s a fancy waterfall right behind the cash register, two giant TVs in the restaurant and the high ceilings make you feel relaxed. They’re open till 3AM too so it’s a great late-night option. There are also plenty of parking spaces in the big plaza. I got the phở dac biet(special), and I was definitely satisfied with how much meat was in my bowl. They definitely don’t skimp on the portions at all. The noodles were cooked properly and I was satisfied with the broth ~~ rich and flavorful. The service is pretty quick and attentive. The food came out pretty quickly too. I’d probably recommend this spot to anyone seeking phở on Bolsa.

I rarely write reviews, especially bad review but this place… terrible. Services suck, ordered Phở and come out not even hot, took more than 10 mins to warm up my bow of Phở. My friend ordered Bò Né and it took about 30 mins and still ready, we have to cancelled it. We ask to replace another bow after they took nearly 10 mins just to warm it up and they giving us some kind of attitudes. It just pissed me off I don’t even touch that bow of Phở. Rather too Luc Dinh Ky restaurant next door or even Phở Thanh across the street is better than this place. Not coming back for sure.

I was craving phở today since it was gloomy so my sister decided to come to this place. First impression the décor and color of this place is hideous. Anywho, now the service. The server who came up to us did not even say anything, he just came up and stared at us. Confused, me and my sister looked at each other and laughed a bit. He continued to stand there for a few more minute until I got fustrated and just decided to point at something on the menu. Even so, he didn’t respond and just walked away when my sister was still ordering. My sister was so confused she asked me if he had gotten her order. Aha? I guess? Maybe he doesn’t speak english? Even though 90% of the customers are Vietnamese, im pretty sure he could of blurted out some few enlgish words like. «are you ready?» Or «okay» but he didnt. Wtf is wrong is management. The food came out 10 minutes before our water came out. Funny thing right? Put ice in a cup and fill it up with water. Literally takes a minute. Anyways, when the food came out the server just placed the bowls down, he didn’t even say what the dish was or asked if we needed anything else. He even took it upon himself to sweep the dirty floor infront of our tables. Super unsanitary, everyone with a brain knows not to sweep the floor infront of customers and their food. I was so disgusted I stopped eating, the dust from the floor might had gotten in my food. Oh my, seriously? I could of went to a better cheaper 50% off kind of phở place and gotten better service than here. He was very rude to us but was extremely nice to the vietnamese customers around us. Racist much? Never coming back here. I will be telling all my clients, friends/family about this place. Phở 54 would have been a better choice and i dislike phở 54 but At least they talk. The phở was bleh, just like the Crappy service. Well, what did I expect? It’s a vietnamese restaurant after all. Zero stars if Unilocal allowed me to.

I love their Phở. It is definitely not packaged beef broth because you can taste the richness in the soup. The green condiments for the soup are fresh. Service is always good because their servers are super friendly and funny guys. But I really wanted to leave this review not for the restaurant but as a lesson. I saw a lot of people eating the greens that are served before their Phở soup and overhearing them called«healthy snacks,» or «appetizers.» Those greens(bean sprouts, culantro, jalapenos, etc.) are not snacks. They go into your Phở. :) So I hope you all like my HowTo below. How To Eat Phở(advice for my non-Vietnamese friends): 1. Savor the soup when it first comes to you. To immediately put sriracha and tuong sauce into it without tasting the soup is absolutely criminal. 2. Put in the bean sprouts, mint, basil, and culantro(torn into halves or quarters). This is optional if you are not a huge veggies fan, but trust me, the right amount of these in your soup will enhance the flavors. The only thing I tend to leave out are the limes. I feel Phở Thang Long’s Phở soup is really good and therefore does not need the lime but that’s my preference. 3. Refrain from saucing your phở soup with sriracha and tuong — instead put it into a small dish as a dip for the meat. 4. If you really want to sauce your phở, I suggest putting in Ot Sate*(aka the dried red chilli stored in oil). 5. Feast. If the Vietnamese restaurant you are at does not have Ot Sate*, then that’s the first cue that it’s not authentic. Do all this and you will be saved from the snickers and giggles.

Here is my humble take on this restaurant since I feel like I am a novice vietnamese food eater. First off, I was brought to this small eatery by a vietnamese friend a few years a go and since we worked together in the area, he took me to several others with similar food. However, from all of the restaurants he took me, I continue to come to this one. I’ve had the fillet mignon with rice fried noodles and chicken/beef Phở and truthfully all of them have been flavorful and delicious. Now, if you are looking for a fancy high quality meat on the beef, you will need to go somewhere else to pay an extra $ 20 or so. The fillet mignon and the size of the plates are great for the price, which go between $ 9 – 15. I was a bit hesitant to give them 4 stars just because I am rating the restaurant over all and not just the food. Be prepared because most of the time, the parking in the plaza is a nightmare, being that they share parking lot with a gazillion other small businesses. Additionally, the service has been pretty bland. The waiters are vietnamese –which is great but. for some reason they don’t really talk to you. Every time I’ve been there its like pulling teeth to get them to communicate with you. I give them a pass just because they give me the vibe that they are shy rather than rude. Lastly, I don’t know why but I really like the bright orange look they got going. Makes it for a friendly/relaxed environment. For now, this will continue to be my «go-to» place for vietnamese food.

Was looking for a place to dine after basketball. Our usual place(phở quang truong) closed either for the night or lunar new year. We, then, decided to come to this location because one of my buddy wanted phở. When we walked in, place is pretty much empty except for our booth and one other or two. This place has the brightes oranget décor ever!!! I was looking at the menu and I did not find bun bo hue on the menu. That’s a negative for me. I, then, orderd the bun thit nuong with eggrolls. When it came out, my buddy was shock that its huge but the negative was that it was on a plate. It was awkward serving this meal jn a plate. I was stuggling eating it off the plate. They gave me little sweet fish sauce and the ratio to vermicelli to sweet fish sauce was off. Also, the ratio of vermicelli to meat was out of portion. I like it that they give lots of vermicelli but it has to have an equal portion to the meat. I think I had like 4 slice of meat. Only pros about this place is that they open late til 3am.

Came here at 12 am. Phở is bland. Filet mignon meat was ok. I’d go else where, not recommended . 7 $ for a small bowl of unclean phở. You can still taste the noodle powder that hey didn’t clean out before they added the soup . Roach infested.

The filet mignon is very good. The shrimp phở is also very good. The quality of the restaurant is also better than most phở places in the area, it looks clean and is very spacious. The staff is average with the friendliness. I’ve gone here ten to fifteen times and they only got my order wrong once(probably because my pronunciation is bad. For a tip, point to the item on the menu if you don’t speak Viet haha). The waterfall wall is a nice touch. Also, I love that they are open very late. Recommendations: filet mingon phở, shrimp phở, the pork vermicelli plate or pork rice plate, lotus seed drink, salty plump soda.

This place is pricier for the same food in terms of taste, quality and quantity. They are open late for the night club and bar goers and the likes. This place is definitely cleaner and newer looking than the typical hole in the wall. But is it worth the price? I’ll say nay. I had the phở tai and the phở filet mignon. They tasted the same. I also had the stir fry dish with the veggies over the crispy noodles. And it was okay. Stick to phở if you come here.

Open till 3AM and accept credit cards! Like many other Unilocalers, get the bo né! Best post gym meal! For $ 10 it’s totally worth it! Bo né is Steak with your choice of mushroom or garlic sauce. Comes with a sunny side egg and comes with a salad and your choice of white rice, fried rice, or a baguette. I opted for the fried rice and the mushroom sauce. Overall the whole meal was good! And definitely filled me up! I have tried the com tam and phở here before, i thought it was definitely a average, I will only come back for the bo né.

Two words: bò né!!! Imagine some sautéed onions topped on a juicy steak, smothered in a mouthwatering & creamy garlic/mushroom sauce, next to some sunny-side up eggs all on a cow-shaped plate. There’s something grotesque(yet humorous) about eating cow on cow. Hehe, but that’s how it’s always been served! It’s called the«sizzling plate» but bò né is directly translated into«stand-back steak» because of(you guessed it) how much it sizzles! So you’ve gotta stand back when it’s served or else the oil will sizzle onto ya! Now that I’ve bored you with some origins, on to the review! I think by now you understand my love for their bò né. It’s so so so good. I love rich and succulent tastes, so this sizzling plate definitely hits the spot. You can either have the steak in a garlic OR a mushroom sauce(but TIPALERT: you can totally ask for the garlic AND mushroom sauce like I do – just don’t tell them you got it from me)! They serve it with crispy-on-the-outside-yet-oh-so-super-soft-on-the-inside bread, along with a small side of salad that has a yummy vinaigrette dressing. Everything is just how I like it so I can’t help but rave!!! And the best part? It’s cheap! Only $ 9.95! Their bò luc lac(shaking beef rice plate) is also really good! The origin behind the name is Vietnamese chefs back then would do a little dance & shake their butts as they cook it. Haha-just kidding. Or not… that’s just what my family tells me. Can’t really say the same for the phở. The soup is really bland for my taste & the portions are small. I love the fragrant aroma of phở, but this place doesn’t really do it for me. Minus one star for this :( Super spacious, super clean, super modern, and super… orange. Not really fond of this color, but this place rocks it well! Always coming back for some sizzlin’!

I feel like once Phở Thang Long changed locations, the quality of the food went down a lot. The phở broth here can be a bit watery and bland, and the portions have gotten a little smaller. The ambiance is nice here in case you’re introducing a friend to Vietnamese food, etc. but in my opinion there are better places to get phở than here. The phở ap chao is pretty good here but don’t get the goi cuon. They’re a little disappointing!

It’s been about a year since my last review and since then I think I’ve been back two or three times. They’ve all been dine in so… so far so good. They do need to prebuss they’re tables faster especially during the late night weekend rush and the owner really needs to remodel the men’s restroom: P This review though was for a recent take-out order of Spring Rolls… 8 total to be exact but they only gave me 6. Tsk tsk. My bad partly because I should’ve checked but the blame falls mostly on them.(sigh)…

What a great place for some Phở and with the other countless Phở establishments around, Phở Thang Long is my favorite and the best one. I love the combination of awesome orange décor and seats, the fanciness you get when you walk in, and the late night Phó promptly served when you sit down to eat… The stock in the Phó is pure magic. I get my Phó with filet mignon and chicken, this combination of flavors just satisfies the pallet but leaves you craving more and more. I am not sure why they have a 3.5 star rating when they do it right and have the most perfect establishment. Nevertheless, I am a Phó Thang Long consumer for life.

I liked the phở here enough to come back today and have it again. It’s not the best but it definitely not bad. Actually to be honest, What sets this place apart is the atmosphere. This restaurant is a lot more clean and vibrant that almost every Vietnamese restaurant I’ve been to. I have also tried the broken rice here which is also not too shabby. In the phở bowls, I really liked the flavor of the meats. Having Filet minon is also a plus. Overall the phở is good, like a 4 out of 5. From a 4, I’d have to drop another star because the customer service(or lack thereof) sucks. You see these guys stand around, hardly talk to you, and are just not friendly. Actually, when we came in I signaled the guy for a table of 2 but he only looked at my girlfriend who ignored him because she had a migraine lol. Kind of rude. Like others have said, they take your order and you won’t see them again. I’d come back for some restaurant scenery and decent food. I could really not care for the employees.

Yay, I had something unexpectedly yummy today! Let me tell you about it. If you like Vietnamese food, you’ve undoubtedly slurped a vat full of phở, crunched on your fair share of banh mi, and dipped an uncountable number of fresh spring rolls in fish sauce. But have you ever had«bo né»?? You wouldn’t be alone if you don’t know what«bo né» is. Nobody in my own Vietnamese family had heard of this dish just a few years ago. Even today it is not that common but lately I’ve seen more banners and signs in Little Saigon announcing they serve«bo né». So what is bo né, you ask? It’s basically steak and eggs Vietnamese style. The version at Phở Thang Long is a filet mignon, about 7 ounces I’d say, covered with your choice of a butter garlic sauce or mushroom sauce. It’s served on a distinctive cast iron skillet plate in the shape of a cow. Alongside the steak is a barely cooked sunny side up egg. The plate is set in front of you with the steak, sauce and egg all spitting and sizzling. You also get a small green salad and your choice of white rice, fried rice(an extra $ 1.50), or a good sized baguette. I enjoyed the baguette, which was perfect for sopping up the buttery garlic sauce, juices and egg. This hot sizzling combo was so satisfying! All of this for a mere $ 10. Of course, this was not a filet mignon of Mastro’s caliber. However, I’m a bit of a premium steak snob myself and I thoroughly enjoyed the steak in this $ 10 entrée. I’ve had«bo né» on 3 different occasions at 3 different restaurants and the version at Phở Thanh Long was BYFAR my favorite. At the other two places, it actually was not that memorable except for the cute cow-shaped cast iron skillet plate. One place served it with a slice of pork pâté and the other place served it with a hot dog type sausage too. The steak and an egg in a cow-shaped skillet seems to be the constant though. Does Phở Thang Long deserve an all around 5 stars? Not really. The 3.5 star average is probably more fitting. As the name of the restaurant suggests, the specialty is phở and the phở here is good, if not a little bit higher priced than phở at the numerous surrounding restaurants. But I’m giving this place 5 stars just because that Bo Né was so good tonight and you MUST try it!

This is the only good thing I can say: It is cheap here. The visit with my family this time was embarrassing(for the restaurant), disappointing(for us), and completely frustrating for everyone. First, my sister ordered a filet mignon, dish on a black frying pan(the one that continues to cook and sizzle when it is brought out). When the dish was placed on the table, everything was fine… for two seconds. A fly flew by and it fell on the plate and immediately died in the egg(placed next to the steak). We asked the server to give us a new egg, not even to replace the entire meal. He agreed and before he took the plate, my sister cut the egg in a way so she can tell if she received a different one. When the plate came back, she could still see her cut; she theorizes that the restaurant cook merely scraped the top of the egg, cleaned the fly off, and returned the tainted egg! THEYCOULDN’T EVENGIVEUS A NEWEGG, WHICH I’M SUREDOESN’T EVENCOSTTHERESTAURANT25CENTS!!! THAT’S DISGUSTINGANDINCONCEIVABLE!!! Secondly, I ordered a rice clay bowl because it had imitatio l crab meat, which I love, and when it arrived, it was missing said imitation crab. I asked the server about the missing ingredient; he left and came back informing me that there was no more imitation crab meat. SO I ORDEREDTHEBOWLBECAUSEITHADIMITATIONCRABANDTHERESTAURANTCOULDN’T TELLMETHATITRANOUT; THECRABWASTHEONLYREASON I ORDEREDTHEDISH. My family, as you can imagine, are all pretty peeved and annoyed. The restaurant didn’t even feel sorry about it. When there’s this many negatives than positives, I wish I were the fly that died so I wouldn’t have to go through all this.

Typical Asian phở restaurant. I usually prefer coming to this specific phở restaurant because it looks nice and it’s cleaner than other phở restaurants around bolsa. Service is alright. Can’t really expect much from an Aidan restaurant and they do speak English which is a huge plus! When I get lazy to eat here, I usually order to go. They provide and give you everything you need when you order for take out. I always get phở with rare beef. Can’t go wrong with that! And my boyfriend usually gets the special that comes with everything. It’s more worth it to get a small size because you don’t get more meat or noodles when you order a large. They just fill it up with more soup it seems like. There’s also other food options if you don’t feel like having a bowl of phở

A usual spot to grab some phở on a late night since they are open til 3am AND they take credit, makes it easy to get my cravings in Phở: good flavor and good amount given. Mi: It’s okay, there are better mi places and their egg noodles are very thin, and overcooked. And no option for the think strands. Broth was okay. Phở ap chao: one of my favorite dishes here. It’s crispy and the flavor is amazing! Spring rolls: decent rolls, but a lot of noodles a lot of the time Cam tam: not my go to place for the dish. But they do have lunch specials. Service: I can’t complain, they get their job done. Lacking a little friendliness, but I can survive with that. They leave you alone for the most part and you kinda have to eye them to wave them down.

We have dined here twice now, and it’s been pretty good so far, however both times, my bf and I have ordered the same dish. We’ve been going here for the Bo Né, since the place we usually go to is further away. My bf gets the wonton noodle soup. I actually enjoy the Bo Né dish. The bread they give you is pretty big, and its always nice and hot. The salad isn’t bad either. Next time we come back I’ll try their Phở Thai

I cant believe I haven’t reviewed Phở Thang Long. I have enough checkins there:) Anytime I’m in the OC area or even on the 405 in HB, I dream about eating here. The Phở is so delicious and authentic. I love that they serve beer, just in case you’re nursing a hangover. Most recently, I tried the filet-mignon phở which, admittedly, I did not like as much as my usual phở tai. Anyways, everything on their menu is pretty legit. Please come to West LA Phở tang owners!

One of my late night phở spots on rotation in OC. I like this place cause it’s pretty clean, newer, and has a very open dining area. High ceilings, and a large waterfall wall. I tell my OC friends that I want to eat at the waterfall phở place lol. Fairly good service, food comes out quick, and they pleasantly split the bill for large groups. Can’t say much about their menu, I’ve tried com tam plates in the past and I recall it being pretty good. My regular order is a large phở with well done brisket, rare steak in the side. I really like their broth. Quality of the meat was pretty good. Decent noodles. Overall a great option for Vietnamese, day or late night.
