Specialties
An artist guides the group through one piece of art as they paint on canvas and sip cocktails while listening to cool and groovy music during a fun night out with family and friends. No art experience necessary. Everyone ends the evening with their very own masterpiece. Great for girls night out, date night, company social events and bachelorette parties… to name a few. Visit the bar and find a great selection of brews, wine and non alcoholic beverages, as well. Painting and sipping is THE trendiest night out. Art plus wine, can’t get any better than that.
History
Established in 2010.
Raye Harris-Southern, founder of Whimsy Paint and Sip Art Studio, lives for art. Growing up in the midWest and then moving to Colorado when
she was about 35, Raye’s passion for art began as a young girl when her Dad gave her a small instamatic Kodak camera.
She developed that artistic eye through the lens and worked as a professional portrait artist for over 25 years.
In 2001, Terry (Raye’s husband) gave her a birthday gift: an easel and a set of brushes & paints, etc.
She’s been painting ever since. In 2010 Jess (Raye’s daughter) took her to a paint and sip studio. They both fell in love with the idea that everyone
could be an artist and wanted to share the love of painting with… well…just about everyone. Whimsy started as a way to get to
paint every day (that doesn’t happen!) and a way to share the fun experience of brushing paint on a canvas — creating art.
Now, instead of creating art through the lens of a camera, she creates art at the end of a brush.
