I honestly love Yama’s. The food is fresh and made to order. The rice is perfect and their meat is great. I usually get chicken breast and it tastes awesome every single time. I have turned my brother and boyfriend onto this place and they both love it. The owner is so nice! This place blows Flame Broiler right out of the water.

This place is good sometimes. Honestly the only time it has s lot of meat is when the owner husband is there but when the owner wife is she always fills up with rice and little meat. So when we call in our order if the wife answers we would rather go elsewhere since she is being cheap with the meat

Since I first started coming here 2 years ago I knew this place was awesome ! So delicious and healthy. My favorite is the large chicken beef bowl topped with green onions. The lady at the register is so nice she always remembers my order. 5 stars and two thumbs up!

I ate here like 3 years ago hahah! When I wasn’t vegan. But now I’m vegan. Anywho! By far the best teriyaki joint out there. Nice fellas and very generous with the teriyaki sauce. Drench the meat with it and eat it with rice so good! This beats flame boiler dude.

Seeing a patient close to Yamas, Unilocal had good reviews, and I was hungry. They did not disappoint. No crowd, it was 8:30, they close at 9. Food tasted freshly cooked, chicken and beef had just the right amount of char to it. Rice hot and sticky, vegetables crisp. Service fast and friendly. Plenty for my dinner and lunch tomorrow. Recommend highly. Will be back the next time I have a patient close by.

This place is WONDERFUL! I come here regularly and I love their food. I’ve tried other local teriyaki but none compare to the quality of their food. I always love the chicken/beef bowl and 3pc shrimp tempura too . Great prices and very friendly service !!

I really enjoyed the large plate chicken veggie teriyaki with a side order of veggie egg rolls(price $ 2.50) Wish they had better egg rolls, like chicken, pork or shrimp. I can get 3 big chicken egg rolls at jack in the box for $ 2.99, Overall good food I recommend it.

Mediocre food for standard prices So I am inclined to feel just slightly cheated. I got the shrimp tempura plate(#15) and it was underwhelming. The sweet-potato tempura must be 3 mm in thickness, no joke. Flavor was substandard and tasted like they’re frying oil hasn’t been changed in months.

Good stop to get some Teriyaki dishes. Decently priced with friendly service. It’s in a compact area which may serve as a negative to some, however, if you get past that nuisance the food is great! If I am in the neighborhood again I will definitely come back! Glad to see the ratings were correct on this joint.

Yamas Teriyaki shares a small parking lot with a few other businesses, so parking pretty much sucks during dinner hours when everyone is getting off work and getting a bite to eat. I really wasn’t impressed with this place, especially after seeing all of the reviews. The food was pretty average, I got the small chicken and veggie plate. Nothing tasted terrible, but nothing stuck out to me as being really, really good. The broccoli had almost equal parts green and yellow coloring on them. The glaze they put on it was good, and the rice was cooked perfectly. It wasn’t hard, but it also wasn’t a soggy pile of mush on my plate. It had the perfectly cooked stickiness to them!(I’m way too picky about rice, and they nailed it) The chicken was pretty good, a little more fatty than I would like, but it wasn’t completely drenched in sauce. Overall, it wasn’t terrible, but not something that I would rant and rave about. It is convenient though because I can grab a plate or bowl before I head to my classes since its on the way!

I really need enjoyed the teriyaki bowl here. Half chicken half beef w/t extra green onions. Service was fast and friendly. The portions were pretty large and the price was very affordable. I think it’s like $ 7 for a large. Next time I will try the new spicy pork. There was cops eating there… so I took my food to go. Lol

Placed a to go order I got a chicken with veggies plate and it was truly amazing!!! Surpassed my expectations! Chicken was tender juicy and you can tell it’s cooked on a actual grill with fire there are crispy bits here and there! A lot more food than I expected which is a plus!!! My husband ordered a beef plate and I tried the beef and it was also juicy and tender not dry like other teriyaki places. This will be the new Go To for us! Definitely recommend this over flame broiler any day! I honestly wish we would have tried this place sooner.

I love the chicken teriyki bowl, but the beef is very good as well. It tastes like the juiciest beef jerky. The chicken has just the right amount of tenderness. other item are also delicious. I usually order a chicken bowl and shrimp bowl. It’s a great meal and inexpensive.

The chicken bowl is delicious. We usually order a chicken bowl and shrimp bowl with extra shrimp. It’s a great meal and inexpensive. The only bad thing I would say… closed on Sunday’s.

Oh. My. Goodness. This place rocks. You definitely need to stop by if you’re ever in the area. I stumbled on this place on accident(on my way to Starbucks) and I thank the teriyaki gods that I did! I like the chicken teriyaki bowl, but the beef is very good as well. It tastes like the juiciest beef jerky. The chicken has just the right amount of crunch/tenderness. Hands down the best thing about this place is the price. You can get a great meal for less than $ 5! They also offer brown rice, which is always nice. The owner(Michael, I think?) and his staff are all very friendly, and the service is immediate. It takes less than 5 minutes to get your food made! All in all, this place is the bomb. For what it is, it’s absolutely a 10⁄10!

I called in a decent sized order for me and my office — five plates total. I was happy to say that the phone call to order ahead for pick up was a breeze! Sometimes it is loud and busy over at Yamas, so I was fearful I wouldn’t be able to order easily, but it was no problem! The gentleman on the phone was clear and confirmed my order for me and was very accommodating. He even let us get extra green onion and green onion on the side. And there’s always the one complicated order, right? Always the same guy in our office. Anyway, Yamas didn’t mind one bit and they were able to make his plate half white rice/half brown! When I got there less than 10 minutes later, my order was all ready to go! I asked for some extra hot sauce and their special sauce and was going to grab a Snapple to add to my order for myself. The cashier(owner?) let me have it for free! :D Super awesome! Made me feel special. ^_^ Super quick, super nice, super delicious! We got three large bowls and two regular for $ 33. The large bowls are huge! I shared mine with my brother and still barely finished it. I always get half beef/half chicken because both are so good. Thank you, Yamas! Great food and great service!
