The Waxing Spot by Rosemery and Veri

Been going to this place for years. I used to do brazillians but not anymore, but I still drive 20 mins each way to get a 5 minute lip wax because nothing compares to the waxing spot! I’ve seen everyone and they are all clearly trained in the same way, super friendly and the place is spotless.
As others have mentioned, you’ll pay just a little more but it’s worth EVERY penny. Just go, you won’t regret it!

I’ve gone to the waxing spot for about 1 year now since moving to Stamford and getting tired of driving back to New Haven for my Brazilian. I have seen Veri & Rosemary (when Veri was out on leave) and both of them are fantastic. The business is run very professional, rooms are clean, precautions are taken for high sanitation, and the ladies give the best Brazilians. Prices will be more expensive than other salons or waxing places you can go to but you get what you pay for. These sort of things I highly believe you shouldn’t cheap out on — and going here is worth every penny.

The best waxing spot in fairfield county with the most amazing staff! From the receptionists to the waxers, everyone at the waxing spot is attentive and caring. You can tell how much they care about their customers from the second you walk in the door. It is the most painless wax I’ve ever received. So happy I stumbled upon TWS years ago! Saturday was my first time at The Waxing Spot and definitely will not be my last. I booked a Brazilian wax with Rachel. The room was very clean and Rachel made me feel extremely comfortable. I have been getting brazilians for years, usually with the wax that you pull off with strips. This was just hard wax no strips, and honestly it barely hurt, and I went in there prepared for the usual dose of pain! It was so quick and virtually painless, that I didn’t believe it was done until I looked down. This will definitely be my new spot. Also, 10% off your first appointment and 5% off if you pay in cash. Highly recommend!

The most painless (well there was some pain– but that’s what happens when you’re getting hair yanked out of your labia), easy and quick Brazilian wax I have had in my life. Rachel (I think it was Rachel?) was so sweet and immediately made me feel comfortable. No irritation or bumps afterward. It looked perfect! Also, 10% off for the first time! I’ve definitely found my new spot in CT to get waxed.

This was my first time at The Waxing Spot. I had my wax with Amanda and she was incredibly nice during the entire process. It was quick and the least painful wax I’ve ever had. For my first time it was a 10% discount and 5% off because I paid in cash. I will definitely be back again!

The salon was able to fit me in with about 2 hours notice on a Friday! When I arrived the salon was chic and clean and the staff very friendly. I was offered something to drink and waited in the cozy couches for my appointment. I was welcomed to a clean room and undressed. The girl who was doing the wax was extremely friendly and made small talk through the whole process. She is also a nurse, which somehow put me more at ease. I’ve had many Brazilian waxes before, but the 1^st time in a new salon always triggers a bit more anxiety then usual. The wax they used was all hard wax and went on, and came off with ease. This was the most pain free wax I’ve had, yet!
Yes, it was on the higher end of the price range, but, this is not a service that I mind paying a bit more for. You are paying for a licensed, hygienic professional at The Waxing Spot, and they know what they are doing, and do their best to make you comfortable and get you in and out. I will be back in 4 – 6 weeks!

While there is no such thing as a painless wax — the ladies at the Waxing Spot make the experience as painless and comfortable as possible. I always highly recommend this place to everyone! There are definitely places that are less expensive — — but you get what you pay for! I won’t ever go anywhere else!

Listen. Waxing is one of my least favorite things to do – but if ever I’ve had a great experience getting waxed, it was today with Rosemery. She was very nice, and since it was my first time there she explained their sanitary procedures, which put me at ease. No double dipping, disposable sheets, gloves, etc. and the salon is very nice. Her technique made it feel less like she was ripping the hair from my body by the root, and more like she was just taking off a band-​aid (but they don’t use strips). I am always bracing for that first rip, and not only did I not know it was coming, when it happened I was like «oh…that’s it?» Now, don’t get me wrong. When it gets to the tender spots, you definitely feel it, but it was so much LESS PAINFUL than I’ve ever experienced. The wax she uses is great – not too hot, no strips necessary, and gets all the hair usually on first application. My last wax was a while ago (about 4 mths/​12 weeks) and I went in expecting a rough time. I was done in 20 minutes and it was anything but rough. I will definitely be entrusting The Waxing Spot with my hair removal procedures as long as I am in Connecticut. This place is wonderful! Next time I will bring cash, because you get a discount. I also got a first timer discount too.

I recently moved to Connecticut from down south. I’ve only used one spa in the past. Today was my first trip to West Port and The Waxing Spot. I had a tough time at first locating the place. I called and the receptionist was super friendly and looked up driving directions for me. She told me to call back if I had any problems and she would assist me further. Very nice.
I found the Spot without any further issues. I’ve had this done for… well awhile. I found this wax to be considerably less painful that those in the past. I’m not sure why. Possibly because of the soy based products they use. It could also be due to the lower temperatures needed for the wax. Either way it wasn’t as painful as others I’ve had. My technician was very professional, but explained she didn’t speak good English. Not a problem for me, who wants to do lots of chatting at this moment. LOL… but could be an issue for a first time wax’r.
I will also say that the wax was cleaner… leaving less strays behind that some I’ve had done in the past. I’ve also read that the product they use slows the regrowth of hair…
They sell products there to help ease the pain and decrease the amount of ingrown hairs. I’m pleased with the services provided. Will definitely revisit.

I only have good things to say about this place. It is definitely more expensive, but for something as delicate as a bikini wax it is well worth the price. I am terrible at scheduling appointments ahead of time and they always manage to fit me in on short notice. Everyone that I’ve spoken to here seems to really like working at the Waxing Spot as well, which is rare in this business and makes a huge difference in the service! While I live withing driving distance of Westport, I will never go anywhere else for a bikini wax. This place has set a new standard for me.

I drove 40 mins to be waxed here because they are the only waxing salon I know of in Fairfield county that requires their employees to be licensed to practice. This is not a CT law so their employees get licensed in NY. They also never double dip in the wax (which is unhygienic).
The atmosphere was clean, relaxing and inviting. The woman I saw, Jules, was also wonderful. She was very kind and made me feel comfortable. I will definitely be going here again!

This place was amazing! first of all the, the people who were there are very friendly and this was a big plus for me. Before I would get it done at two different nail salons, the women, in both places are always are impatient and complain how tired. They also always comment on the amount of hair you have, which seems very rude if you ask me.
However, the service here is so friendly. They engage in polite conversations with their customers and DON’T COMPLAIN. I finally felt welcomed.

Anyways, I went to get my underarms waxed, and boy let me tell you I’ve gotten it twice done before at other places and it would be sooooooo painful, not here though! it was but it was fast and as painless as waxing can get! Moreover they do not double dip in the wax and are very professional.
Moreover they give u a 5% discount if you pay with cash! yes it is a little pricey but I just get the underam which is $ 20, usually like it is any where else… but i think I’ve found a place where I will keep coming to everytime for my waxing needs! Love this place so much! Please go, if its your first time they give you 10% off!

AWFUL!!! I was a former customer of the waxing spot until I was discriminated against there and will never return again. I started going there only because the location was more convenient for me.
I had an appt set for 1pm. I was coming from Stamford and it was a very rainy day so I called letting them know I will be late. I arrived at 1:25. I was immediately taken in by Amanda. Once inside Amanda told me that because I was late she would need Veri to help me. I said that was fine. At one point I asked Veri to stop because she was doing my legs (roughly!!!) and Amanda was doing my Brazilian at the same time!!! Veri didn’t like that very much. Anyway I had my full legs, Brazilian, stomach and under arms done and I was out by 2:30. After my appt Amanda informed me that she thought she would need more time that is why she asked Veri for help but stated «we still had plenty of time.» So I go to pay $ 200 total and then I’m informed by the woman in the front that Veri said «because we use so much wax and time with you we need to charge you 20% more next time for legs and Brazilian» I was outraged! 20%!!! I asked her to ask Veri to reconsider and stated that I am a loyal customer and I go there every month. I also let her know that I was told by Kelly (who I usually use) and Amanda that my bikini is light and thin and gives no problem but my legs are a lot of work. I am a bigger girl and I do have bigger legs. But not 20% worth! I wanted to ask Veri if she gives thinner girls a discount because they use less wax??? Doubtful! So as a business owner wouldn’t you think the less wax users help make it even for those who need more wax? Yeah I was appalled by this. I have lost a lot of weight and I am proud that I am smaller now and still trying to lose weight for myself but they made me feel so crappy that day. It’s disgusting that they won’t accommodate ALL sizes fairly. Very awful people. Awful, mean and discriminatory. I will just take the extra distance and go back to the European Waxing Center and I recommend that to everyone as they don’t mind how much wax one uses and they don’t discriminate against larger people.

I (literally) just left my first Brazilian wax with Kelly this evening. I was a little nervous but Kelly was very informative and helpful, and distracted me through some of the more painful parts! I am so so happy with how it went and, so far, how it’s turned out! Beautiful space, cleanest I’ve ever seen, and I will definitely be back for waxes with Kelly.

My first Brazilian, and I was terribly nervous. Rosemery, however, put me completely at ease with her confidence, wonderful bedside manner, and extensive knowledge in her craft. The experience was so pleasant that I went on to have my underarms, lip, and brow done, and I could not be happier with the level of service or the results I received! I have found my new «waxing spot»! Thank you Rosemery and crew!

This was my one stop waxing spot when I lived in CT. Rosemery and Veri have been
waxing estheticians for many years, and know how to do things in a way that is safe (no double dipping to avoid infections), as painless as possible, and avoids dreaded ingrown hairs (using hard wax only and recommending things to do to avoid getting new ingrown hairs). They’re so committed to their trade that they even helped me deal with an ingrown hair problem that I’ve had from prior waxing places (which is usually unchecked/​avoided by most estheticians), so I could avoid potential infections and general discomfort — no other esthetician has gone above and beyond to do that.
I admit, they are a bit pricier than other places I’ve been to, but you’re paying for Rosemery and Veri’s expertise and knowledge. Especially since CT doesn’t have as strict regulations for waxing places as some states next door do (i.e. NY), it’s hard to find a top notch waxing place in the area that abides to high cleanliness standards and waxing know-​how. Although there is no license requirements CT, Rosemery and Veri require their employees to get licensed in NY state as a way to ensure that everyone is educated about waxing technique and sanitary standards. That’s how much they care about their trade.
If you’re looking for a waxing place in Fairfield County and want to make sure you’re going somewhere where they know what they’re doing and really care about their trade, this is the place to go.

I love it here! Excellent Brazilians. Discount when you refer someone & when you pay in cash. Professional staff. Very nice, clean environment. All girls trained by the owner so who ever you get will be great!

A little on the expensive side, but they’re the experts.
They use a wax that doesn’t require strips, so it just hardens and they rip it right off. They never double dip, the rooms are spotless and completely private, and the wait area is nice and cozy.
They also give a 5% discount if you pay cash and they’re open later a few nights a week, which is very convenient.
I rated this place four stars because I feel that it’s slightly over-​priced, and because I specifically requested an appointment with Veri but was met by a different employee upon my arrival.
