History

Established in 2011.

Construction on the facility began in late 2011. Opened March 2012. Kwik Kar Ridgmar is the newest and largest Kwik Kar facility in Tarrant County. Contrary to popular belief, Kwik Kar is NOT a franchise. Each facility is independently owned and operated. Our initial service offerings included oil changes and state inspections and we were closed on Sundays. Eventually, we added routine maintenance services and opened on Sundays. In 2013 we recruited a mechanic and we now offer a full range of mechanical repair services. We also contract with a number of local businesses to service their fleet of vehicles. In addition, we accept most national fleet management accounts such as Wright Express, GE, PHH, MPP, and others. Our facility services nearly 800 cars in the average month. We were a finalist in the Fort Worth Chamber’s «Small Business of the Year» award.

Business Owner

Father was US Army officer. Have lived abroad and throughout the USA. I was in the US Navy as a Corpsman during the Vietnam era. Obtained degree as a Registered Nurse after leaving the Navy and worked in large trauma center. Migrated to the business side of healthcare and have been a CEO of two different DFW-​based health care companies for the past 25 years. Sold the health care company in 2010. Purchased a Kwik Kar in 2011 with the intent of having several similar businesses over the next several years. Board member of Tri City Chamber of Commerce. Member of West Fort Worth Rotary.
