The only reason I didn’t give this place 1 star is because the wait staff were very nice and tried hard to be helpful. Looking for an option in West Chester, go elsewhere(I recommend Red Onion in Monroe). This place calls itself a craft beer place, but they only have 6 beers on tap. I can get that at a lowly Applebees. Also, the food was absolutely terrible. Our nachos were chips with the tiniest bit of processed cheese, and some pieces of iceburg lettuce and tomatoes. I felt totally ripped off. The flatbread wasn’t our thing, but others might like it. Lots of fillings, but the crust was completely soggy. As someone else mentioned, the atmosphere in the dining area is overly bright and wide open. Tables are too far apart, so you feel exposed instead of cozy. And it is very loud, even without lots of people in there. I don’t expect this place to be open much longer.

Myself and a group of friends have tried Tap and Barrell twice. The first time service was slow and the menu was underwhelming. As a group of 11, we decided to try this bar/restaurant again just to be fair. The service again was horrible to say the least, and when our menu selections finally did arrive after one hour after we ordered most orders were cold or incorrect. I felt bad for the waitress who constantly had to deliver bad news. Needless to say, I feel we gave this new restaurant in West Chester a fair chance and they failed twice. We will not return. Don’t waste your time and money on this place.

Our first visit was so promising! We received great service at the bar and sampled a variety of the menu items, all delicious(except sandwiches are by no means served on a brioche bun as advertised, but that’s the least of the concerns with this place). Excited to come back and share a good experience, we brought a friend with us on our second visit and again sat at the bar. Once we were each served a drink that was the last time the bartender even looked in our direction until we flagged her down for our check. The bar was full, but no one was eating and the rest of the restaurant barely had anyone in it. We were never offered a menu but were nonetheless prepared to order based on some photo copies of parts of the menu we happened to find sitting on the bar. We never got the chance, though. Even when we requested our check it took a good 15+ minutes to get it. This place is clearly trying to attract locals but not doing it very well. We live within a mile and were excited for a new bar/restaurant, but based on this experience the chances of us returning are slim to none.

I’ve been here a few times and it seems the service is really slipping. Initially, the food and service were great! The scotch eggs are still great and recommended and the flatbreads are also are made with fresh ingredients and delicious. On our last visit, however, the bar service was terrible. Went with two others and got one drink, waited 2o minutes for the check and left. Pretty touch and go right now on the success of this place.

Atmosphere was good, food was pretty good as well. Service was slow however. Which wasn’t a big deal as we were in no rush. I’m not sure if we would make a return visit as its on the other side of town.

This place was great! If nothing else, go for the scotch eggs. I had never even heard of such a thing(and it honestly didn’t sound super appealing) but WOW. It was like a whole breakfast in my mouth. They were so unbelievably good. We, unfortunately, tried this place while they are between menus? So, the menu listed online is about half of what they are currently offering. I was a bit bummed because there was a pasta dish I wanted to try and it isn’t on their slimmed down menu. I had the bourbon bbq burger and it was really good. Nothing super special or unique, but still a really good burger. The potato wedges are outstanding. Giant, hearty, portions of potato wedges. I also tried a friend’s sweet potato fries and those were excellent as well. I did expect this place to be a little cozier. It was sort of bright and open — our booth was comfy, but there aren’t very many booths. It is mostly just small tables randomly place in a big open space. I kinda of expected it to be a little dimmer and just… warmer, somehow. Still. The food was excellent. I had a warped wing draft that was awesome. And the service was friendly. I would definitely go back once they have that me u business sorted out! Also, 5 stars for clean bathrooms!
