Specially called for an appointment to confirm bedbug bites from my Dec 1^st — Dec 7^th stay at Westgate vacation villas in Orlando, FL.
Explained in great detail that I noticed small bites on my arms, legs, and hands 5 days into our stay. Stated the bites looked like small pimples but as time passed and I scratch they developed into bright red, raised pumps. I told the intake person that I needed written confirmation of bedbug bites from the doctor so I could file a formal complaint with the resort.
I was given an appointment time. I arrived provided my insurance info, completed their HIPPA forms and waited for the doctor.
I explained that I am super careful about checking for bedbugs when traveling. That I checked all beds, couches, chairs etc. even sprayed the room with bedbug spray from walmart and that the only thing I did differently than the rest of my family was use a blanket from the closest in the master bedroom. And I was the only person with bites
After all those details and more the doctor informs me that unless I brought in an actual bedbug he could not provide the confirmation I was seeking.
So basically other than them charging my insurance company for an office visit there was no reason for me to come in for that appointment.
How about being honest and upfront with your patients instead just making money off us.

Beautiful new building but it ends there. Nobody in the office seems to know what anyone else is doing. I am writing this as I set on hold for 15 minutes now just to cancel an appointment. I haven’t spoken to anyone yet and when I do, I am sure they will place me on hold again. they apologize but don’t hire additional help I guess. They also cant seem to keep a PCP for very long. I keep trying to give them a chance cause they are so close to my house but I do believe its time to move on.

Don’t be more than 10 minutes late!!! 15 minutes late and they will turn you away, and won’t make any exceptions… disgraceful.

Tried making an appointment today, and the receptionist was so unbelievably rude to me over the phone. She spoke over me, interrupted me, put me repeatedly on hold– I can’t believe that’s how this place treats people who are ill or need medical care. I eventually said forget it, hung up and decided I’ll take a few Tylenol and make an appt. with my primary care physician after the weekend.

They take appointments at the walkin, the building is new at 1025 silas deane, it is clean inside and the staff is very nice. Doctors only running 15 minutes behind schedule and they are open evenings and weekends. Would definitely go here again
