Best chicken cutlet ever!!! Only menu item I’ve ever tried. Can’t bring myself to try anything else because it’s so good. I’ve had it Italian style and American. Italian is the way to go. Tastes like an Italian Grandmothers homemade cutlets. Always a warm welcome and an appreciation for your business. Once you try it you will crave it.

The chicken grinders are excellent. A lot of meat, I actually take some off to make a second sandwich later. Would have given five stars, but the place has needed a good clean up and remodel for a long time. If you can look past that, the grinders are very good.

They definitely need to add more add ons to the grinders such as peppers lettuce tomatoes. they hardly put anything on it. for the price they should stack it up

So, I walked in a lunchtime and they took me right away. There was another guy waiting(for a pizza maybe?). I ordered a RB grinder. A few minutes later, I was told the sandwich was ready, and I paid and left. When I returned to my office, I realized they had actually given me a sandwich on a roll, which was not what I ordered, nor what I had paid for. My rating isn’t for the food, which was very good, but the service which was obviously disorganized. Bummer.

I’ve been going to this place for over 10 years. The chicken cutlet grinder is so good I’ve honestly never tried anything else on the menu.

I’ve been coming here for nearly two decades, and the chicken cutlet and eggplant grinders continue to be awesome; humongous and delicious. I can’t imagine a single person eating a whole grinder, as a half is almost too much for me. I introduced my sister from Mystic to the place about six months ago, and now she makes excuses to come up to this part of the state to stop here for a grinder. If you haven’t tried their chicken cutlet grinder yet, what are you waiting for?

The best chicken cutlet grinders in Connecticut! Every grinder is overstuffed. You’ll definitely have leftovers

Good food always. Wish they would take debit card but definitely still the best grinders around after 25 years

Finally got to try the famous chicken cutlet at WPH and surprisingly it lived up to be hype. I got mine Italian style with sauce and provolone. The only weak spot is the ordinary grinder roll but the chicken is cooked perfectly and the sauce hits the spot. I like that the chicken cutlets are nice and thin but still piled high on the sandwich. This place must make 100’s of these everyday so they really have the formula down. Not sure I’d try anything else here but why bother when the chicken is so good.

Home of the cutlet indeed! We got a full 18′ inch tuna grinder and Italian chicken cutlet grinder, both huge and fresh! The tuna had a little bit of celery, the bread was good, cheese was extra, peppers were extra(not worth it, barely any in there, for a few minutes I thought they had forgotten them). We also asked for olives which had to be on the side because the had the pits(so I guess no olives on pizza?), and they were kalamata. The Italian chicken cutlet was so packed with cutlet, I needed to peel it apart and eat it like and open faced sandwich! The sauce was delicious, the cutlet was very thin, moist and fried to perfection. I would prefer the cutlets a wee bit thicker, but they are great and seasoned. I would say a full grinder could anywhere from 4 to 10 people. We also had a pizza, which looked like cafeteria pizza, but was very good. Thick crust, thick cheese, good sauce. The lady up front was very nice, and offered to bring my food out to my car(I kept running back and forth because the kids were in the car). The inside is old school pizzeria style. Also, a lot of easy parking. All of that came to $ 56, which is a bit much, but was in fact a lot of food. It’s cash only, and the ATM has a $ 2.50 charge… so add that to the cost. This was very good, but would have to be a special treat from time to time because of price.

Never answers their phone for delivery. Just lets the phone ring. Horrible way to run a business.

Called them at 5:30 and the lady said they cant make a pizza because they are all out of them, plus they close in 1hr so they asked me to order tomorrow!!! Joke! I asked her how can they run out of pizzas since pizzas are made when you order. She said they make pizzas in the morning so as you call 8hrs later they will have it. Never heard of any pizzeria working like that.

Located on a commercial main road in a strip mall across the street from Buy-Rite Liquors. Typical pizza parlor feel when you walk inside, and plenty of seating if you want to sit down and eat. With the few staff working, I would imagine there is no waiter service. There is a TV if that sways you to stay and eat. The grinders are excellent; try the meatball or chicken parmesan. The staff is very friendly and cares about your business. They are cash only.

Love the people who run this place and they love their customers. Not many places feel like they truly appreciate your business. Gigantic sandwiches. Chicken parm is consistently good with a very good sauce though I’ve had one or two stringy pieces in the dozens of times I’ve gone here. There’s usually a wait if you didn’t call ahead .* I rarely do because I actually like watching the interactions. I’ve done take out all but one time. The tables are clean and there’s usually something on the tv. Goodbyes are as friendly as the hellos. They thank you. I make it a point to go back often – about once a month. Cash only, be mindful of the hours, call ahead unless you don’t mind waiting up to 10⁄15 mins(usually less) * after they cheerfully greet you they always ask«did you call ahead?»

My husband came here a year and had to bring me when we returned to Hartford. This is definitely a mom and pop joint. They do not take credit cards so bring cash or be prepared to use their ATM. We ordered a half a chicken cutlet and it was plenty for us to split. I can’t imagine someone eating a whole portion themselves. It was a delicious sandwich. Get some sauce on the side as it can be a bit dry. The husband and wife that run it around super nice and extremely accommodating!!! Their hours are incorrect on Unilocal. They close at 7 pm Mon-Thurs, at 7:30 pm Fridays and 8 pm Saturdays.

Chicken parm was amazing!!! I was starving and split an 8 in and was beyond full! Took a little while because they are packed for lunch but so worth the wait. The lady at the front is a sweetheart! So nice and kept apologizing for the wait. They are. Small mom and pop place and I love going to these types of places, always the best food and service!

Best chicken cutlet grinder I have ever had hands down!!! I love how once you come here a few times, they know you. They learn your name and your face. They remember things you tell them about you and small talk with you about it and how you’re doing. It’s the small things I appreciate like this, the old school customer service. The shop is a hole in the wall, family owned and ran, and the quality from the chicken to the sauce is phenomenal. They make the cutlets the night before and cook them fresh to order each day. The grandma makes the sauce homemade, a taste you’ll recognize immediately. It ain’t jar crap. It’s real. Then they stack about 6 of these beautiful cutlets, caressed in this magnificent sauce onto fresh grinder rolls, and bake it to perfection. If you can finish a whole one of these puppies, I salute you. Absolutely amazing. Try em out, seriously.

This place reminds of an Italian pizza shop in New York. Bravado, friendly and they speak Italian to each other. I came in here for the pizza. I thought the pizza was pretty good, but the crust was thick. Definitely not New York Style. I want to come back here for the legendary sandwiches.

I challenge you to find a better Italian grinder. Wethersfield Pizza is famous for their chicken cutlet grinder. it is HUGE. I always go for the eggplant grinder, which is equally delicious. For 4 people we got a half chicken and half eggplant and we couldn’t finish them both. They have been around for such a long time and are trusted by the community to deliver the best sandwiches in town. Great people, great grinders.

HOLYSANDWICH. That is the ONLY way to describe Wethersfield Pizza House’s chicken cutlet sandwich. I was fantasizing one day with one of my friends who has been a Wethersfield native about the best local grinder shop. After sharing some stories, he dared me to find a better chicken parm than at WPH. Challenge accepted! Boasting a window-front sign that calls out«Home of the Chicken Cutlet», it is truly epic if not legendary. I’ve been here half a dozen times now and that’s all I have ever ordered(yeah, it’s that good) For about $ 8, you are treating yourself to a «half» grinder. Do NOT be fooled because it could easily be a foot-long and half as high! Not sure if it’s the 6 thinly sliced and lightly battered pieces of chicken, not-too-sweet-or-salty sauce, or fresh mozzarella — this sandwich monster/grinder beast is perfect. I always say to myself I’ll get a whole one day, but by the time I finish inhaling the half, I immediately catch the ‘itis’ — that can’t be a bad thing, right? Plenty of tables inside it’s a cash only establishment — however there is an ATM machine on-site. Come see Maria and her family, they’ll definitely take care of you!
