The book sale over the weekend was literally the highlight of my month. A coworker of mine told me about the sale, and said you pay $ 5 to fill a bag of books. Upon arrival, I gave the cashier $ 5, and she handed me two bags. I gave one bag thinking she accidentally gave me one too many, and she said«no, it’s true, you get to fill two bags». I definitely let out a squeal of excitement and immediately got to hunting. I scored some awesome reads, as well as some nice coffee table books full of color, and I also got some great cook books. Other than the book sale, I love this library. It is spacious, quiet(as it should be) and well organized. There are plenty of computers, chairs to sit and read in, and even a coffee station if you’d like a hot beverage while browsing. The staff is helpful, and if you can’t locate a book at this particular branch, they can search for it at another CT library.

Since I recently moved I needed to check out my «new» library. I found it to be fairly large sized library in the same building as the Town Hall. Located right off the Silas Deane highway — parking is in the back of the building Pros *Good sized parking lot *Community board that has a variety of activities for patrons(movies, book clubs, etc) both young and old *Good sized area for audio books(both CD and tape). They have many popular as well as classic titles *Several computers for use with Internet access *Good sized periodical and magazine area *Great selection of newer books for borrowing as well as options to borrow from other libraries throughout the state of Connecticut *Option to down load ebooks through a variety of sources including Freading which has over 15k titles. Any number of patrons can download and use the same title at the same time. No waiting for a book to become available. Con *It’s a library — you can borrow items for free. Can’t see any cons there!
