Start the Heart offers exceptional CPR/​AED and First Aid Training, currently serving western Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh region) and northeastern Ohio.

Start the Heart will train your staff at your location or ours. All classes follow the latest 2010 CPR/​AED guidelines of the American Heart Association, and demonstrate the correct use of an AED device. At the completion of the training, participants will have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to assist adults, children, and infants in sudden cardiac arrest or an emergency situation. A 2 year certification will be issued through the American Heart Association the day of class.

Start the Heart is a unique CPR/​AED/​First Aid Training Center, located in Wexford, in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, PA.

We, Scott and Brenda Frank, are the founders of Start the Heart. We work as a team to offer exceptional CPR/​AED training with individual hands-​on manikin practice. Our teaching style will instill you with the knowledge, skills and confidence required to perform quality CPR/​AED on an adult, child or infant in sudden cardiac arrest.

We provide training to anyone interested in, or required to have, CPR/​AED/​First Aid certification. Our classes are casual and relaxed, creating a pleasant and effective learning environment. For your convenience, we offer training at your location or ours.

AED’s are available for purchase through Start the Heart. Detailed AED training and maintenance programs are available to our clients.
