We offer premier tire sales and service, stocking all brands of tire including Dunlop, Goodyear, Firestone. With the purchase of four tires, you can take advantage of a free alignment. We also handle general auto repair including oil service, exhaust system service, transmission service, basic tune-​ups, and a whole lot more. Feel free to either drop off your car, or sit in our convenient waiting room with free wi-​fi.

Our work is honest, up front, and personable — Exactly what you need when looking for the best tires or when your vehicle needs repaired. If we do not carry the brand of tires you’re looking for, we will be happy to order the tire brand and return your car to by the same day or the following business day. We work on all makes and models. All of our mechanics are ASE certified, and we are a AAA approved facility in Weymouth. If you’re looking for a mechanic that is no-​nonsense, straightforward, trustworthy, knowledgeable (ASE and AAA certified), fairly priced, efficient, friendly, and basically everything else you’d ever need/​want in a repair shop, look no further!
Here are the services I recently had done here on my 2008 Honda Accord: four tires ordered and replaced, full balancing, 4-​wheel alignment, and front rotors and pads replaced.
John, the owner, went out of his way to replace a bad rotor that I purchased on my own. He even said: «I just want my customers happy.» How many mechanics do you know that can say that?
To me a good mechanic is worth his weight in gold so I consider myself lucky to have a solid go-​to source for all my future car repair needs.

I started taking my car to Bridge St. when I moved to Hingham in 2000. I trust John and his staff completely. Over the years I’ve gone in a number of times over whatever concern, and they will often take a look, do a quick adjustment and send me on my way without charging me a cent.
When my catalytic converter went, John recommended I check with Subaru to see if it was under warranty. I pushed back — my car was 10 years old with over 100k miles on it, the warranty is long expired — but John insisted that for this part is was often different, and I should at least make a call. I did, and it was.
THAT is a typical example of doing business with John Kingsbury. He does right by you. That is roughly a $ 1,500 repair, and he sent me away to have it done (for free) by a dealership.
I moved from Hingham a while ago, and it’s now pretty inconvenient to take my car down to Weymouth but I do, because they’re worth it.

I used to think «honest auto mechanic» was an oxymoron but this place proved me wrong. This is a mechanic shop you can trust!
My grandmother’s passenger side window would not go up so she went to her local mechanic. The mechanic told her that she needed to buy a new window motor, which would cost $ 300 and he didn’t have time to fit her in that day. My Grandmother went to Bridge Street Tire for a second opinion and, boy, she’s glad she did! When she told the owner her problem, he immediately went out to check her car in the parking lot and figured out that the passenger window’s lock was on. He unlocked it for my Grandmother and she was on her way within minutes of stopping by. He didn’t even charge her a dime! It makes me happy to know that there are still some honest mechanics out there.

I have been going here since 2003 and you simply can not beat their honesty and service. They are extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
The last time I brought my car in was for a transmission issue and John said he was unable to diagnose it. He did not charge but rather recommended me to a great transmission time. While he had my car he did a full inspection and found a small brake fluid leak. He topped it off and did not charge me.

John has been my mechanic since 2007. He’s honest and fair in all his dealings, and I’ve never had an issue they couldn’t fix. Worth the drive for me every time, and it’s always money well spent.
I know people who have spent so much money at dealerships, etc. You don’t need to. For whatever you need, take it to Bridge St and save yourself some money.

This has been my local mechanic since I moved into the neighborhood in 2002. I can’t tell you how many times they’ve said my cars didn’t need a tuneup, when most places probably would have charged me for one anyways. John and Sean are honest, stand-​up guys who are good to deal with. On a street where there are several auto repair places, I’ve never heard a bad word said against them.
