I have learned the hard way… Why I only will call Kennedy for carpet cleaning.
Always on time, always a good job. No aggravation. No up selling. Pleasant workers always.
I have had two recent carpet cleanings with Kennedy because of a moth issue with several upholstery cleanings over. the years. It works out well.
When i. have tried to use other companies to save a few dollars or the timing seems better — I always regret it.

My husband and I just bought our new home and wanted to have our rugs and a leather sofa cleaned in our basement. I began comparing companies and prices and found that Kennedy Carpet would offer us a coupon making them our best bet. I had had area rugs cleaned before with amazing results so I was happy that we could give them business again — a local company vs. a national rug cleaning service. Our experience was excellent. The gentleman with Kennedy Carpet arrived right on time. Before he got started he came in and looked at the rugs and sofa in question. He told me he didn’t want to clean the sofa for us because it was a major charge and we probably wouldn’t notice a major difference. Instead, he left the leather cleaner for us and didn’t charge us. I really appreciated the honesty and the change in price for the service as a result. He was efficient and our rugs looked beautiful when he was done. My husband and I were both thrilled with the result. All that I’ve mentioned already would be enough for us to be completely happy with our experience but then two days later Kennedy Carpet followed up with us to ensure we were happy with the result. Talk about excellent customer service! I had had to change our order at one point as well and anyone I emailed at Kennedy got back to me immediately and were pleasant and professional. I will highly recommend this company to anyone in the future.

I have used Kennedy Carpet for cleaning and they are terrific. The technician has always been on time and has done an excellent job. BUT,
Replacing carpet for my hallway (this is a very large home), and having had good experience with them in the past I gave Kennedy my business. First, the guys were 4 hours late, clearly overbooked. I waited. They arrived and installed the carpet. I discovered as they were driving away that the carpet had a large tear about 11 – 12 inches long that was disguised into the pile of the carpet. They were called back to the house to explain. Suffice to say, I was not supposed to find the mistake. I was asked why did I find it objectionable when they thought it looked ok all blended in.”.it happens all the time and we just cover it up and most people never know.“
Really? Did you really want to share your dishonest craftsmanship secrets with me? I just paid handsomely for a product that was presumed to be flawless. I told them that it was totally dishonest and a bold misrepresentation that they would ruin the carpet, and hide it. And then to suggest that I should not yell at them about cheating me was the most revealing of the absurdity of the situation. They said they were just carpet layers and that it doesn’t matter to them how much it cost?//What? Are you serious? I need to reintroduce myself as the customer of the company they were representing. Unbelievable.
I called the store and I now get to wait again to meet «the manager» to see what to do next? I think the owner should be responding here, but that is just me a paying honest former customer.
I don’t know, but is this really how this company works? I know that in my field we try not to hide the ugly mistakes, Let’s face it mistakes happen… let’s just be up front and work to solve it, not hide it. That would be the right thing to do and builds trust.

They ruined a wool 5×7 rug I wanted to have cleaned. Lines across rug that were not there before, a big dark spot on rug, never called and told rug was ready because they knew they had a problem. I was having rug cleaned to remove cat dander, It was not dirty. They cleaned a second time again no call it was ready, were talking 3 weeks each time. They said I could bring it in again!!! Gee thanks but no thanks, Asked to wave fee in light of my ruined rug, no call back Stay clear

Awful business. The owner is very shady, the prices are very high and in my case I got serveral quotes from people on at the company, but when dealing w/​the owner directly price had doubled. I would never go back there, worst experience i’ve had since becoming a home owner.

I have used Kennedy twice for both carpet and upholstery
cleaning and they have been meticulous–
The rates are reasonable and the technicians are professional to deal with. I cannot say enough about how happy I am dealing with them.

I own a small multi family home I live in. I used them in the early summer to steam clean my hallway rug. The price was fair and the service was so good, I got a coupon for 15% off and had them back 3 months later to do my back hallway rug.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience. I would give them a ¼ star if I was able to.
They advertised $ 5 a sq ft installed hardwood but conveniently found «extra work» that needed to be done.
Not only did we have to keep prodding them about a delivery date for the hardwood (we were told a week and didn’t get info until 2 weeks later after we repeatedly contacted them).
We setup delivery of the wood and gave specific instructions to leave it in the back room… they never showed up and never contacted us (we left the house wide open all day!) and when it was delivered, it was left in our unfinished, moist, water-​prone basement.
We had to bring each box upstairs ourselves.
They left marks on our walls and baseboard heater from their shoddy craftsmanship.
When the job was complete, they charged the credit card again without our consent (and added $ 300 extra to replace a 6″ piece of sub floor near the door (approx. 30 minutes of labor) without discussing the extra cost of labor) and the job isn’t even complete as they never installed one threshold and hacked up another one they did install (plus they charged $ 300 for 4 thresholds and I had to remind them to install them).
I called to dispute the extra $ 850 charge to my credit card (we were going to pay the balance in cash AFTER RECEIVING AN ITEMIZED STATEMENT OF LABOR but we never received this) but no one was available to help me because only «Joan Kennedy» could have this information and she was not available.
DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS VENDOR.
In this economy, you think businesses that are struggling to stay afloat would take better care of the people supporting them.
What goes around comes around and I am sure when the economy picks up again, companies like this will not have survived.
