New England Heating and Cooling has been repairing heating and air conditioning equipment for over 10 years. Our staff have been in the industry for a minimum of 5 years, and we continue to grow each year. Originally started by Robert Kurtzer, New England Heating and Cooling is now an LLC with 2 partners, Robert Kurtzer, and Ralph Delaiarro as the company’s leaders.

Second time calling these guys, and I’m just as impressed as the first time. Robert was able to fit us in on VERY short notice for a problem with a new gas dryer. He spent time with us, gave us a lot of helpful information, took care of the problem and charged a very reasonable rate. Again — I highly recommend them!

These guys are great. Very knowledgeable and had a genuine concern for our problem with the furnace and gave us multiple options to solve the issue. Also reasonably priced and would recommend for anyone in the boston area.

Our boiler broke down on the coldest day of the year. After many many snow storms. It was very old and i had been expecting it for years. No heat and no hot water. I called a few places that could not even come look at it for over a week. Then i called New England Heating and Cooling. They showed up within hours!
After assessing the situation which i knew was bad. after working just about 24⁄7 over many weeks, they setup a brand new boiler/​H2O heater within 3 days. They were friendly, courteous, and spent 3 hours explaining everything to us. How to keep the house safe… and how everything was going to work (including pics of the new system)

Very happy with the professionalism, cost, and efficiency of this company. Had a problem with my new Nest thermostat system corrected. Robert accurately diagnosed the problem and repaired it in short time. Would definitely use this company again.

I cannot rave enough about these guys! Initially they came out to provide me with a proposal to remove and replace my heating and hot water system. From the start, they were prompt, informative and efficient. They were familiar with the Mass Save program process which a huge help.
In the crazy mess of the other players in the Mass Save program, these guys were a breath of fresh air. (no pun)
Short version. Due to some miscommunication with CSG (Mass Save partner), the order of procedures, etc, my heat was shut off by National Grid due to high CO levels and gas odor.
They showed up and made intensive repairs in order to make it safe to stay in our home until a permanent solution could be scheduled. What they did for me by coming out on a cold Friday afternoon shows real character. I will sing their praises all day long. If you want the job done correctly and efficiently, work with these guys.
My sh*tshow of a day ended with feeling grateful.

In their defense, they were effective in solving the problem with my air conditioning. I thought the $ 40 they added to the bill as a «dispatch fee» was ridiculous, though. When I tried to talk with the owner about my objection to the charge, he ignored my calls/​texts. If you’re thinking of using them, you probably want to get clear on all charges beforehand.
