Action Recycling Center

I agree there needs to be more direction or signage. The customer service could use some polishing. Although there was a guy with longer hair, younger, he was at least kind enough to sort of help us.

I like to recycle however this place has no signs to lead you at all. I pulled up and there is not alot of room for cars/​trucks. I sat there for a few minutes and had to get out of the truck to try to find someone to help me as to where to start. Too crowded of a space and no one to help does not lead to good business. I think in the future I will find somewhere else to recycle.

I had a busted tv and these guys helped me quickly recycle it. I showed up on a Saturday afternoon and they were really busy. However, they quickly helped me and showed me where to leave the tv. No charge either since the screen wasn’t broken! Very helpful and fast b

I get the feeling that this place is more for the professional scroungers/​scrappers than the average consumer but, they do take a lot of stuff that I’m usually glad to be rid of. Take for instance the old motorcycle batteries and battery out of a car that we no longer have. I figured I would have to pay to get rid of them. The mexicano worker pointed toward a scale and I figured that I was going to be paying by the pound to get rid of them. So I waited in the line for the cashier and when it was my turn, I reached for my wallet only to be handed some bills and coin. Cool, being paid beats paying no matter the amount in my book.

Not that I expected all that much from a recycling place… but some sort of directional signage, arrows, flashing lights, or someone to acknowledge me looking around blankly trying to figure out what the H to do would have been nice.
I took a chance and asked a dude who looked… well, dirty (no offense, it’s a tough/​dirty job but someone’s gotta do it)… and asked, «Do you work here?» I wasn’t trying to make assumptions on the «type» of person that would work here, but I wasn’t given much choice. He was the only accessible one and thankfully, his, «no… but yeah I can probably tell you what to do» answer was helpful.
I handed off a box of laptops (count ‘em THREE long gone to that computer graveyard in the sky) and a printer. I was only charged $ 1.00 to hand over the printer; the laptop (s) were free. Awesome!
I also had a giant bag of papers and magazines that I’m trying to throw out and read on their site they have a large bin for paper recycling, but again with the lack of signage and labeling and every actual work too busy to be bothered, I was unable to locate said bin. So now I’ve got a trashbag full of recyclable paper products in my car. Joy.
