Risas Dental and Braces – Wheat Ridge

First I want to say that MOST of the employees here are friendly and helpful.
The dentists are like-​able and knowledgable. They found 6 cavities that another practice did not find. We first came here because the braces are affordable, and our daughter needed them. So far we haven’t had any problems except some brackets, but they’re on an 11 yr old girl so what do you expect. Time will tell if we continue to be happy here, I expect we will.

So much confusion on billing. Every month it’s a hassle trying to a straight answer from them. Each person i talk to tells me something different.

I love this place they take care of all mine and my family’s needs. The staff is friendly and bilingual which is a big help when my parents have to go in and can’t take someone to help them translate. They are great with kids, my daughter loves watching cartoons while they do her cleaning. All the doctors are great and always answer any questions I have. Definitely recommend this place :)

I recently had to get my first root canal. I was actually a little scared about the procedure, but Dr. Rust put my mind at ease right away. He explained everything as he went which really helped calm my nerves. The dental staff was extremely professional and attentive to my needs. The equipment was much more up-​to-​date than any of the previous dentists I have been to. Overall, I was very satisfied with the experience. Dr. Rust and his staff took what was a scary situation for me, turned it around, and made it a pleasant experience. If you are looking for a professional, efficient, and competitively priced dental experience, I whole-​heartedly recommend Risas Dental!

I had a night guard made to help with clenching. It has helped so much in relief for my migraines! During this visit I also had a 2 fillings done by Dr Spencer. I was pretty anxious about getting the shots. (The previous dental office that administered shots for work last year left me with hematoma in my cheek…) Dr Spencer was very professional and prepared me for what he was going to do. I was totally numbed prior to the shot and didn’t feel a thing. No residual issues with my face and no pain during or after the filling. It was a painless experience.
I feel they were honest and conservative with my diagnosis and treatment plan. I would and do recommend them to my friends.

BEWARE! I made an appointment for a checkup/​cleaning last month. First off the dental assistant was a little incompetent and I felt like she didn’t really know what she was doing.
Second, I hadn’t had a single cavity in 10+ years before this appointment. After they took x-​rays and inspected my teeth they told me I had 7 cavities. As you can imagine I was totally shocked because I hadn’t had one in such a long time. Rather than second guess their opinion because I thought I could trust them they went ahead and fixed four of the «cavities» that same day. They made a follow up appointment which I never came back for. After having them do the first four cavities I thought about it some more and after talking with friends/​family I really doubted their opinion given that I hadn’t had a cavity in such a long time.
I decided to make an appointment at another dentist to get a second opinion. After they inspected my teeth the dentist said he didn’t see any cavities. He said my old fillings still looked fine. He did see one blemish that he said if he was looking for something to do that he could fix it but wasn’t necessary. After hearing this I really doubted that I had any cavities to begin with.
Apparently at RISAS they were really just looking for things to do that really didn’t need to be done.
Stay far away.

So… I have great timing. Seriously. I am also accident prone. I broke my front tooth this weekend and decided I didn’t want to look like the kid from mad magazine. I drove past this new building and noticed it was going to be a new dental office. About an hour later is when I broke my tooth. I waited till morning and decided to walk in to Risas dental to see if they could help me out. They did awesome! I was literally their first patient. If you need a dentist or if you are like me and moved here 6 years ago and are to terrified to find a new one come here. Dr Spencer (I hope that’s how you spell it) is super rad and didn’t even give me a panic attack.
